â¢Aaravi's povâ¢
I was sitting in the chair placed in the balcony, watching the scenery outside.
It was giving me a sense of peace as the wind touched my face, and when I closed my eyes, a cold yet beautiful sensation ran through my body.
I was so lost in the peace that I didnât even realize when the door to the room opened.
"Why are you sitting here without changing your clothes? Change into something comfortable, and then weâll have breakfast," my husband said, his voice a bit frustrated and irritated. It broke my trance, and I simply nodded and went back to the room.
"Iâll arrange lunch ," he said and left the room. I placed my luggage on the bed, grabbed a purple saree, blouse, and petticoatâand most importantly, a brush. I zipped up the luggage and headed to the washroom. After finishing my business in the bathroom, I left and stood in front of the mirror. I dried my hair with a towel, took a pinch of vermillion, and applied it to my hairline.
I wore matching bangles, took my phone, and left the room.
I came outside and looked around.
The house was beautifulâyes, a house. He booked a house instead of a hotel.
This is exactly what I wanted to do in Greeceâto stay in a house where I could see the sea from the balcony.
Staying in a house instead of a hotel because a house gives you a homey warmth, something a hotel cannot.
This could just be a coincidence, but I don't know why my heart doesn't want it to be just that.
But in reality, it is a coincidence. I sighed and walked around the house.
The house was so beautiful; I was mesmerized by its beauty, with the walls painted in light colors.
I took a few steps forward when I heard some noise coming from the front. I went in that direction and stopped when I saw my husband cooking, wearing a black apron, his shirt sleeves rolled up, with his veins showing on his arms, and his hair all messed up.
I realized I was openly staring and drooling over him, but it was too late as my husband caught me watching him like a creep. I quickly looked away.
"I know Iâm a good-looking husband, wifey," he said. My cheeks heated up, and I bit my inner cheeks.
Itâs so embarrassing when someone catches you staring at them like a creep.
"Come, lunch is ready," he said in his usual cold, ice-like voice.
"Iâll serve. You sit," I said calmly.
He nods.
I took the bowl of food and placed it on the dining table, serving him the lunch he had cookedâIndian food.
I didnât even know he could cook.
I sat down on the chair and was about to serve myself when he took the bowl from my hand, and I looked at him.
"I will serve you as well, just like you did," he said, his voice now calm, without any coldnessâjust pure calmness.
Don't do this, Nikshant ji jisse mujhe aapse mohabbat ho jaye
Something I never want because someone like me, an impure girl, doesn't deserve happiness.
(Or I might fall in love with you)
These small gestures of his are doing something to me that I can never voice outânever, ever.
He served my food, and I started eating.
"After lunch, take some rest. Weâll go out for a walk in the evening," he said, and I smiled.
After eating lunch, I cleaned the utensils and headed to the room.
I entered the room, sat on the bed, and switched on my phone. I saw there were lots of messages from Mom and Ahaana di.
First, I opened Mom's message:
Mom
Itâs good to see that you both reached your destination safely. And I must say, my useless son changed the whole honeymoon destination at the last moment. Take care of yourselves, and also look after my useless son. Enjoy your honeymoon, beta.
Me
Iâll take care of both of us, Mom, but you make sure to take care of yourself and everyone else.
I opened Ahaana di's message.
Ahaana di
Wow, bhabhi, I must say bhaiya is really romantic. Maybe he knew that if he went to the place Dadi suggested, Dadi would have kept an eye on him by sending a bodyguard! And my brother wants private time with youâhow romantic, right? Take care, bhabhi, and make sure to bring me something from Greece.
I laughedâsheâs so cute, indeed.
Me
Itâs nothing like that, Ahaana di, and Iâll definitely bring something for everyone.
I closed my phone after reading the message and laid down on the mattress.
I closed my eyes and drifted into sleep.

I changed out of my purple saree into a red one, placed a bindi in the middle of my forehead, wore red bangles, and put on anklets.
I let my hair down, took my handbag and phone, and left the room. I descended the stairs and entered the hall, where I saw him wearing a sky-blue shirt with white pants and a watch on his wrist.
He looked at me, and my eyes met his hazel green ones. For a split second, something flickered in his eyes before disappearing. I looked away because of the intensity in his gaze.
He cleared his throat.
"Let's go," he said and started walking, and I followed him like a lost puppy.
"Hold my hand. I don't want you to get lost in the crowd, and then have Mom and Dadi scold me," he said, his voice rude. I hesitantly held his hand, and he gripped mine tightly in his palm.
My heart skipped a beat; his hand was warm and giving me comfort.
We were walking, hand in hand, like a normal couple.
I looked at the people passing by, and they gave me strange looks as if they had just seen a chalti phirti bhootni.
I tugged on his shirt, and he looked at me with an intense gaze.
"Umm, why is everyone looking at me like they've just seen a walking ghost?" I asked, my voice filled with curiosity.
"Because you're looking like a ghost," he chuckled, and my eyes widened in surprise.
"Seriously, do I really look like a ghost?" My eyes widened so much that I thought they might pop out.
"No, it's just that you're wearing a saree, and look at what they're wearing. They probably haven't seen a saree before," he said, and I nodded.
I looked around and saw two cats. I stopped him, took my phone, and snapped pictures of them. We wandered around, and I took many more photos.
We stopped at a store.
I was looking at everything there to see what I could get for Mom, Dadi, and Ahaana di. My eyes landed on a man's wristwatch. I glanced at my husband, who was on a call, and seizing the opportunity, I bought the watch with my own money.
I bought a few things for Mom, Dadi, Ahaana di, and Aarav bhaiya. I hope they like them.
I moved towards him, and he looked at me, raising his brow as if asking, "Done with shopping?" I mouthed the question while he was on a call because I didnât want to disturb him.
He nodded, took my hand in his, and we left the store.
The sun was about to set, and it looked so beautiful.
"Stop, stop," I said, and he halted, looking at me irritably. I gave him a sheepish smile and pointed at the sunset.
I switched on my phone and took a photo.
â¢Author's pov â¢
In India,
Outside the city, in a certain place, a guy was sitting on a sofa in a dimly lit room, sitting like he was a king.
In front of him, a man stood with his head bowed, slightly trembling.
"Did you find any news about her?" the guy asked, his voice firm and dangerous, making the man shiver.
"Y..yes..boss," the man trembled.
"Spit it out! What did you find out about her?" The guy's voice was so dangerous that the man felt as if he was dying a hundred times.
"Bo...boss, ma'am... has... gone... somewhere," the man stammered, trembling, with sweat dripping from his forehead. But he didn't dare wipe it because he knew if he moved, he wouldnât stay alive. And whatever he said next might seal his fate for sure.
"Where?" he roared. "And why are you sweating? Wipe your sweat," he said dangerously.
"Uh... ma'am... she...," the man stammered.
"Stop stuttering and speak up!" he shouted.
The man took a breath, knowing he wouldnât survive much longer.
"Ma'am has gone on her honeymoon," the man blurted out, and the sound of a gunshot echoed in the room. The man collapsed onto the floor.
The guy's jaw clenched, his face now so dangerous that if anyone came in front of him, he would strangle them.
He closed his eyes and then opened them, his eyes bloodshot red.
He stood up and threw everything in the room.
"I gave you too much freedom, my little birdie, and now it seems you've gone straight to marriage and honeymoon," he chuckled darkly. "But now, your husband won't stay alive, and how sad-it looks like you'll have to become a widow, my birdie. No, no... I'll marry you in front of your husband, and then I'll kill him. That way, you won't be a widow, my little birdie."
"Now I will cage you forever in my life, birdie. You are mine-mine to love, mine to possess, mine to fuck. Everything about you is mine-your body, your soul, everything," he laughed darkly.
He stood in front of the four boxes and let out a sinister chuckle.
"Hey, you four asshole lovers, soon another heart will join you all," he laughed maniacally.
"Can't wait to strangle him to death and keep his heart in these boxes because he took what belongs to me. No one can take what's mine- only me," he said maniacally.
He moved towards the wall and turned on a lamp, revealing photos of a girl covering the entire wall. This girl was none other than Aaravi.
He caressed one of the pictures and said, "Oh, my Aaravi, you don't even know how much I crave you every day, every second. Whenever some guy gets close to you, my blood boils, and I feel like I have no choice but to kill them. It burns me with jealousy that I can't even talk to you, but these idiots can. So, I end up killing them with my bare hands," his voice dark and menacing.
"You are my possession, my obsession, my everything. I long for just a glimpse of you. I haven't seen you in two weeks, birdieâjust imagine what Iâve been going through. But you went ahead and got married," he chuckled menacingly.
"The dream I had of marrying you... and you let someone else fulfill it, breaking my dream. Now it wonât take me any time to break you. I will break you, and then Iâll fulfill my dream of marrying you," he said menacingly.
