â¢Nikshant's povâ¢
We are about to go on our honeymoon to Singapore, but I donât know why I asked her friend Shreya about her dreams and everything. Shreya told me that Aaravi loves classical dance but couldnât pursue it because her parents wanted her to become a doctor. After her parents' death, she fulfilled their wishes, and I feel proud of her.
Her dream destination is Greece, but she couldnât go because of Karanveer. I mean, Karanveer wonât leave her alone, and she doesnât want to trouble her brother.
A sense of pride touched my heart knowing that she cares so much for everyone around her.
Shreya said that if she goes to Greece, she will book a house instead of a hotel because a hotel doesnât give a homey feel. I agreed with her, so I booked a house instead of a hotel.
So, I thought of fulfilling one of her dreams, and I donât know why, but now I want to fulfill all her dreams, everything she ever desired.
Itâs a strange kind of feeling that Iâm having about her, and I canât even name the feeling.
What are you doing to me, Aaravi?
I wanted to hate you, but seeing your care and love for my family didnât let me hate you from the core.
But I do hate you because you cheated me and my family, and I wonât forgive you for this. Enjoy this honeymoon of yours, my wifey, because after we return to India, I will show you your real place. I swear to God, you will beg me to forgive you, but I wonât. And after getting the truth out of you, I will divorce you.
The word 'divorce' did something to my heart, but I shrugged it off.
I opened my phone and started checking some emails for my upcoming project. As I was going through them, I heard the sound of her anklets. I looked toward the stairs, and there she was, standing, looking absolutely stunning in that red saree.
I swear, I didnât expect her to wear a freaking red saree. I mean, I thought sheâd wear western dresses since weâre in Greece, just like other girls do when theyâre in a different country, but she appeared in front of me wearing a goddamn red saree. I swear, something happened to my heart, and I didnât even mind it.
I couldnât take my eyes off her.
The red saree suits her so well.
I looked at her from head to toe, feeling like someone was taking my breath away.
She applied vermillion in her hairline, wore a nuptial chain around her neck, and bangles.
Iâm feeling proud of myself that the beauty, this queen standing on the stairs, is mine, only mine.
( A/N- I swear nikshant maine tere jaise bipolar insaan nahi dekha hai)
I looked into her eyes, and her grey eyes met mine. I stared at her intensely, feeling possessive, like I wanted to keep her safe with me.
She looked away, and I didnât like it at all when she did. I cleared my throat to get her attention back on me.
"Letâs go,"I said and started walking outside, and she followed me. A small smile appeared on my face, but I quickly hid it.
âHold my hand. I donât want you to get lost in the crowd and then have Mom and Dadi scold me,â I said, my voice sounding rude. I didnât mean to say it rudelyâI just wanted to hold her hand.
Yes, I want to hold her hand in mine. And when other men see us, theyâll know that this girl belongs to me. Call me weird or whatever, I donât care.
She hesitantly held my hand, and I gripped hers tightly. I bit my inner cheek to stop myself from smiling.
A beautiful feeling touched me and then drifted away with the air.
We were walking like a normal couple, hand in hand, and all the men, women, and children were looking at her.
I know sheâs beautiful, but none of you have the right to stare at her like that. I glared at every person passing by us.
She tugged on my shirt, and I looked at her with an intense gaze.
"Umm, why is everyone looking at me like theyâve just seen a walking ghost?" she asked, her voice full of curiosity.
Because you look breathtaking in this red saree, Mrs. KapoorâI wanted to say, but I stopped myself.
"Because you look like a walking ghost," I chuckled, and her eyes widened in surprise.
She looked so cute that I wanted to pinch her cheeks.
"Seriously? Do I really look like a walking ghost?" she widened her eyes so much that I thought they might pop out.
Poor her, she actually thought she looked like a walking ghost.
I wanted to tease her, but I think this isnât the right place to tease around.
No, it's just that you're wearing a saree, and look at what they're wearing. They probably haven't seen a saree before," I said, and she nodded. I watched her every move from my peripheral vision.
She looked around and spotted two cats. She stopped me, and I halted as she took pictures of the cats. As we wandered around, she kept stopping to take many more pictures.
We stopped at a shop, and she began browsing through the items. I handed her my black card. At first, she hesitated, but one glare from me was enough for her to take it. I also looked around, and my eyes landed on the anklets section. I glanced at her to make sure she wasnât watching me, and once I was sure, I moved to the anklets section. All the anklets looked the same to me.
I took one of the anklets in my hand, checked it carefully, and bought it. As I moved toward her, I saw her approaching me. I quickly hid the anklet in my pant pocket and put my phone to my ear, pretending to be on a call.
She stood in front of me, and I raised my eyebrows to ask her.
"Done with shopping?" she mouthed, and I had to stop myself from laughing at her.
I pretended to end the call, took her hand in mine, and we left the store.
"Stop, stop,"she said, and I stopped, looking at her irritably. She gave me a sheepish smile, and I melted right there. She pointed to the sunset.
Girls and their things.
She turned on her phone and took a picture of the sunset.
"Is your photo session done now, or can we leave?"I asked her.
"Yes, Iâm done, letâs go,"she said, and we walked to another place.
We went to a restaurant, entered, and sat at a table.
"What do you want to eat?"I asked. She looked at me, her face red.
"Umm, I donât like Chinese food," she said, looking embarrassed.
"Thereâs no reason to be embarrassed about that," I said.
"Iâ¦Iâm not embarrassed,"she replied and looked away.
"Anything to drink?" I asked her.
"A chocolate shake,' she said with a pout.
We ordered what we wanted to eat, and soon our order arrived. I ate, and she drank her chocolate shake.
We left the restaurant and headed for the house.
The day was so tiring. First, we came to Greece, and since we arrived by my private chopper, we had to stop once for fuel because the chopper can only travel for 5 hours due to the fuel capacity. So, we refueled the chopper and finally arrived in Greece.
(A reader asked if a chopper can travel for ten hours and why they didnât take a private jet for a long flight. Iâd like to clarify that in every story we read, there are private jets, so I decided to change it. I know a chopper can only travel for five hours, not ten. I hope this chapter clears up your doubt.)
We arrived at the house. I needed an urgent shower to wash away all my tiredness. I looked at Aaravi, who also seemed tired.
"You rest, and Iâll make something to eat for you,"I said.
"Umm, no, no, Iâll make it myself. You look tired,"she said, shaking her head.
"Aaravi, do what I said," I said firmly. She didnât say another word and climbed the stairs. I also went up and headed to my room.
We were staying in separate rooms.
I showered, put on a comfortable t-shirt and track pants, and went to the kitchen to make something for her. I looked around the kitchen, and since there wasnât much to cook with, I made poha for her.
I moved toward her room and knocked on the door, but there was no response from her side. I knocked again, but got the same result. I opened the door, and fortunately, it was unlocked. I entered the room and saw her sleeping peacefully on the bed, without a care in the world.
I moved towards the bed and sat down. I didnât want to disturb her sleep, but she needed to have her dinner, so I shook her gently, and she jerkily woke up. I found her reaction strangeâwhen I touched her, as felt like someone had burned her hand.
"What happened? Why are you in my room?" she asked, breathing heavily.
"Relax, Aaravi. I just came to bring you dinner," I said, placing the plate of food in front of her and getting off the bed.
"If you need anything, just call me. Iâll be in the room next door,"IÂ said, and Aaravi nodded.
I left the room and headed to mine. I entered my room and lay down on the bed.
Aaravi's weird reaction kept swirling in my mind. It's strange, very strange. I need to figure it out soon.
I looked at the ceiling, thinking about her.
Ugh, Aaravi, why wonât you leave my mind? Why are you occupying my thoughts all the time? Why canât I think about anything else?.
Seconds turned into minutes, and minutes turned into hours, but sleep was far from me as I kept thinking about her reaction.
I took my phone and checked the timeâit was 1 AM at night.
Should I go and check on her just once to make sure sheâs okay?
Baas ek baar dekhne ki woh theek ya nahi uske baad chala aaunga.
I got up from the bed and opened my room door, hoping her room door would be open.
I opened her room door and peeked inside to see if she was still sleeping.
When I couldnât see anything because it was dark, I moved toward the bed and stood there, looking at her. I frowned when I saw that she was frowning in her sleep, and soon sweat began to drop from her forehead.
I bent down a little and saw that she was murmuring something in her sleep.
I sat on the bed beside her. She soon clutched my hand, digging her nails into my palm, and began breathing heavily.
"No... no... it... pains... please... remove... it... please,"She begged in her sleep.
I shook her quickly, but she didnât wake up.
"Aaravi, get up. See, no one is here," I shook her.
"It...s... burning... please... it...s... burning... please..." she murmured again.
"Donât... donât... please... donât," she screamed and woke up. I saw nothing, so I quickly hugged her and caressed her back.
"Aaravi, donât worry. Thereâs no one here. Itâs just me and you," I said, caressing her back. She clutched my t-shirt and started crying.
I felt like someone had poured kerosene into my heart and then set it on fire with matches.
I said sweet nothings into her ear, and after a while, she calmed down. I turned on the side lamp and saw her face, which was trembling with fear and had tears on it. I gently wiped her tears, took a glass of water from the side table, and gave it to her.
"Drink some water," I said. She nodded, took the glass from my hand, and drank the water.
"Now go to sleep. Iâll leave too," I said, but she tightly clutched my t-shirt.
"C... could you stay here for the night?"she asked, and I nodded.
I gently laid her on the bed, with one hand caressing her hair and the other hand holding hers. Soon, I heard her snoring. I tried to pull my hand away, but she held it more tightly.
I sighed and lay down beside her. I looked at her and pressed my lips to her forehead.
I will find out soon what caused you to be in that state, Aaravi.
I closed my eyes and drifted into sleep.
Did Nikshant just kiss Aaravi on her forehead?
Oh my god!
See how nice I amâI've given another update so early.
