Aaravi's pov:
When I heard chachi jii's words I was stunned. I stood frozen in my place, unable to utter a word
"B...but...cha.chi...I...don't...want...to...get...married," I stammered
"You just shut up, you will marry. A very good proposal has come from a respectable family,"chachi ji said as if she didn't care at all about my feelings
"But chachi e ji I don't want to get married" I said gathering my courage
"When I say you will get married, it means you will. Besides a proposal has come for a jinx like you that itself is a big deal" she held my jaw tightly
"Ah..cha..chachi...jii
..mujhee....da..dar..d ho..ra..ha.hai" I tried to remove her hand.
( Aunty it's hurting)
"Mujhe bhi dard hua tha jab teri wajah se mere bete ko iss ghar se nikalna padha "she said, pressing my jaw even harder tears welled up in my eyes
( I also felt the pain when because of you my son had to leave this house)
"He ha..d t...o le...ave.. t...his... .ho..use fo..r hi..s ow..n mis..deeds" I said with great difficulty.
"You have such audacity" she yelled
"Aap mujhe blame nhi kar sakti Jo maine kiya hi nhi tha areh woh toh aapke bete ne mere saath woh sabh kiya tha jis wajah se unko iss ghar se nikala Gaya tha"I yelled as tears streamed down my face.
( You can't blame me for something I didn't do! It was your son who did all those things to me, which led to him being kicked out of this house)
She can't blame me for something I didn't do!
*Tadakkk *
( Bang)
And my face turned away. I touched my cheek and when I looked up chahiye jii was staring at me angrily as if she would skill me at any moment
"You have got quite a mouth on you today" she said taking a step towards me and seeing her I started to step backAs I kept stepping back, IÂ hit the wall, and Auntie stood in front of me and grabbed my throat.
"Teri itni aukaat nahi hai mujhse zubaan ladane ki samjhi " she tightly gripped my throat. I tried to remove her hand but she held on even tighter. As I started to choke chachi let go of my throat and I fell down gasping for breath
(You don't have the status to argue with me, understood)
"You have to get married" she said and left the room, tears continuously rolling down from my eyes.
Why god why do you do this to me? Why do all these things happen to me? Why can't I live a normal life? Why do I have to suffer so much? Why can't I live like a normal girl? Why god why? Am I that bad?
Why can't I do what I want? Why do I have to listen to everyone's criticisms for mistakes I didn't make? Why do people only take advantage of me? Why?
"No no you can't get married Aaravi You can't get married. You can't ruin someone's life who hasn't committed any sins. You can't punish him for something he didn't do
I got up and went to the balcony and sat down, gazing at the moon. I fell asleep while looking at the moon
In the morning, I woke up due to the sunlight. I opened my eyes and found myself asleep on the balcony. All the memories of yesterday came rushing back and tears filled my eyes. I went back inside to my room from the balcony went straight to the bathroom I took a shower and came out.I wore a blue Anarkali suit and stood in front of the mirror to dry my hair. After drying my hair, I wore bangles on my hands
I love bangles. After my elder brother Veer I love bangles the most in the world
I went downstairs to the kitchen and started cooking for everyone. After preparing the meal, I placed all the dishes on the dining table and waited for everyone to arrive. After a short while everyone came to the dining area. After having breakfast, I went back to my room and then came downstairs with my bag.
"Princess I heard you are ready for marriage. Look if Mrs. Sachdeva is pressuring you let me know" Veer bhaiya said and I froze in my place. I glanced sideways where chachi was staring at me as if saying "If you tell him I forced you no one can save you from me
"No Brother I am ready to get married" I said and looked down
"Princess, you won't marryâ" Auntie didn't complete her sentence
"Why wouldn't she? This marriage proposal is from a very wealthy family. They will treat her like a queen. I just want Aaravi to be happy" chachi said
"I know how much you want Princess's happiness, Mrs. Sachdeva" Veer bhaiya mocked chachi
"Princess, do you want to get married?" Veer bhaiya asked but I remained silent
"You see, she doesn't want to get married. Mrs. Sachdeva, I knew you must have forced her" Veer bhaiya said.
"I will marry" I said and looking down
"But Princess you are too young to get married" Veer brother said and tears welled up in my eyes, but I didn't let them flow
"But I want to get married" I said and looked towards chachi whose face wore an evil smile
Veer bhai was about to say something, but before he could say something I said "I'm getting late for college" and left home
As I stepped outside tears that I had been holding back began to flow
I hate myself for being vulnerable. I hate myself for feeling helpless. I hate myself for not being able to stand for myself.I just hate my whole existence
The driver dropped me off at college when I entered the college premises and saw Shreya my friend. She is the only friend in the whole college to whom I can tell everything about my life
I walked towards her, and she gave me a big smile when she saw me.
"Hey, come with me" she stopped and looked at me then continued " tu theek toh haina teri aankhein kyun laal hai "
(Are you okay? Why are your eyes red)
"I am  fine. Let's go we are already getting late for class" I said and headed towards the classroom
"Tu abhi class ke naam se meri baat ko taal sakti hai"she said and I ignored her words because I know if I told her the truth she wouldn't keep quiet
(You can avoid my words with the excuse of class right now )
"You can't ignore my words like that Aaravi" she yelled from behind, but again I ignored her and entered the classroom. I went and sat on the first bench and she also came and sat beside me. After a while the professor arrived. After two classes we got a break and I left the class. I went to the garden and sat on a bench. Shreya also came and sat beside me taking my hand in hers.
"Did you have that dream again?" she asked and I shook my head.
"Then what's wrong? " she asked
"Look, don't test my patience," she warned.
"You don't consider me your friend that's why you don't want to tell me, right?" she said sadly.
"It's not like that Shreya" I said looking at her then continued "chachi wants me to get married" and looked down at my lap
"WHAT?" she loudly yelled and I quickly placed my hand over her mouth
"Speak slowly everyone is watching us" I said and and looking around and I saw everyone looking at us
"Uss chudail ki itni himmat " she said
(That witch has so much courage)
"Shut up, Shreya. She's my Auntie you can't talk about her like that" I said
"You just shut up aaravi tujhe main tere chachi ko kya bol Rahi usse phark pdh raha hai par unhone tere saath jo kuch bhi Kiya uska kya hai " she said her voice clearly showing anger
(You just shut up, Aaravi. You care about what I'm saying to your aunt, but you don't care about what she did to you)
"Unhone Jo bhi Kiya ho mere saath par woh mere Chachi hain maa ke baad unhone hi mujhe uss ghar mein rakha hai sambhal ke "I said getting up from the bench
(Whatever she did to me, she is still my Auntie. After my mother she's the one who kept me in that house took care of me)
"I'm going home now. I'll see you at college tomorrow" I said and left from there
After coming home, I went straight to my room, lay down on the bed, and buried my face in the pillow and I didn't realize when tears started flowing from my eyes.Then I heard the sound of the door opening. Quickly, I wiped my face and looked towards the door where chachi was standing. I sat on the bed as chachi entered with a bag in her hand
"You will wear this" she said and handed me the bag
"What's in it?" I asked
"Saare and you will have to wear this" she said
"And get ready properly because the groom's side will be here soon" she said and left the room and I started looking through the bag. I opened the bag and saw a beautiful pink saree inside. Then I took that pink saree and went to the washroom. After coming out of the washroom, I stood in front of the mirror and started adjusting my pallu.I wore bangles and anklets and left my hair open
I heard the sound of some cars from outside and walked towards the balcony where 2 black cars were parked outside the house and from one of those cars, some bodyguards stepped out and stood by, opening the doors of the cars. Then, a middle-aged woman and a young man emerged from the car and entered the house
After they entered the house, three more cars arrived, and from one of them, a girl emerged followed by an elderly woman and a young man and they entered the house. I was standing on the balcony and watching outside. After some time chachi came into the room
"They have arrived, so let's go" she said and I nodded and while rubbing my hands I left the room and started descending the stairs. My gaze was downward; I didn't have the courage to look at everyone.And when I reached the hall area, the elderly woman said, "Come here beta " gesturing with her hand for me to sit beside her. I looked at chachi, who nodded indicating for me to go and sit. I went and sat beside her
"Kitne Sundar bacchi hai "she said and I smiled
( What a beautiful girl she is )
"Naam kya hai beta aapka"she said
(What is your name )
"Aaravi Sachdeva" I smiled
"How lovely a name you have" she said.
"Hello bhabhi main Ahana Roy Kapoor aapke hone wale pati ke behen " Ahana introduced herself
( Hello sister- in- law myself Ahana Roy Kapoor your would be husbands sister)
Hearing this my face warmed up and I slowly lifted my head to look at them. I couldn't understand which of the two boys was my future husband.
"Hello bhabhi main Aarav Roy Kapoor aapka pyaara sa devar" Aarav said extending his hand. I also extended my handand after shaking hands,

"I will bring some snacks for you guys. Aaravi beta come with me" chachi said and I just nodded and got up going with her to the kitchen and I took the snacks from the kitchen and left the kitchen I placed them on the coffee table and stood up
"Oh, we can talk later. Let those who are getting married also have a chance to talk to each other" dadi said
"Aaravi beta jao Nikshant betw ko aapne room mein leke jao" chachi said and I nodded.
(Go, Aaravi dear take Nikshant to your room)

He also got up from the couch and I started climbing the stairs leading him to my room. Entering the room, I led him to the balcony where there were two chairs. I sat down on one and started looking at the floor. I knew he was looking at me but I couldn't gather the courage to look back at him
"What do you do?" he asked
"Mujhe yeh shaadi nahi karni please aap inkaar kar dijiye iss shaadi se "I said and rubbing my hands
( I don't want to get married please say no to this marriage)
"You are doing this for him Aaravi. You can't destroy his life. By marrying you ,you won't be able to give him anything, nothing at all. He will only receive pain" I thought to myself
