Few more years passed by in a blur and in these years Advika took care of her kingdom, continued her practice with weapons and helped her father and brother in the court. At first there were protests from the courtiers but the king shut them up with the example of Lord Rama's daughter and Queen of Videha.
The courtiers of course didn't know that she was both and The king felt delighted in tricking them. One such day the court was as usual going on when a spy of the king came and whispered something in his ear. The king nodded and sent him away. After the court was adjourned he told both his children and the queen
"The spy just bought a news. The king of Panchal Drupad got a daughter from the depths of the sea. There was an Akashvani that soon another daughter and son will be daughter from the yagna." Both siblings raised their eyebrows at the news with interest.
And after a few months the news soon came that king Drupad obtained twins from the Yagna. The first daughter born from the sea was 25 when she was born and named Saagarika. The twins were each 15 and were names Draupadi and Dhristadyumna respectively.
In between these births there was a scuffle between Drupad and Drona. Drona had asked his students to defeat Drupad and they did but Drona wanted to king his son for half of the kingdom when Ayodhya had to interfere for Panchal was Ayodhya's kingdom and he could not be a king.
Drona was satisfied with Drupad's defeat and went back and Panchal was back under Drupad. The spy had reported that Drupad performed a Yagna asking for a son who would kill Drona. And with the son came a daughter whom Drupad was happy to accept.
Soon an invitation came from Panchal for the swayamvar of Princess Sagarika. Indrajit agreed to attend and Advika went along with him. She had never seen Panchal and wanted to explore. King Drupad welcomed them warmly and introduced his children to them.
Indrajit stayed with Drupad and Dhristadyumna and Advika went with Shikhandini, Saagarika and Draupadi. Advika liked all the three sisters very much. Shikhandini was like her a warrior princess while the other two had a childlike innocence which endeared Advika.
They spent the two days talking to each other and Shikhandini and Advika sharing their stories which earned gasps and awe from the young princesses. Advika and Shikhandini shared an amused glance and continued with their tales.
The next day was the Swayamvar and the four princesses were in the room helping Sagarika get ready. Advika sighed looking at the princess. She looked so beautiful and serene. They took her to the arena where the contest was set up. King Drupad set up a contest where the kings and princes had to try and open the Ancestral box of the royal family.
Advika knew that only a Suryavanshi could open the box as it was a boon from the Sungod. She glanced at her brother and wondered if he would open it. If he did then the wonderful Saagarika would become her sister in law . She grinned secretly and prayed to God that only her brother should be able to open it.
As soon as Saagarika came the arena fell silent and she sat down on the main seat. On one side her father and brother sat while on the other side Draupadi and Advika sat.
The Swayamvar started and Saagarika sat with her eyes down. The kings one by one with arrogance came and tried to open the box thinking it was easy but they couldn't move it an inch. Many stormed off in anger and humiliation and others sat down grumpily.
Finally it was Indrajit's turn and he got up and walked to the box steadily. He saw the sun symbol and prayed to the sun god before touching it. The box opened with a click and inside a small dagger rested.
Trumpets were blown and flowers showered upon him. Saagarika shyly walked down with the garland and put it on his neck as he watched her with a small smile.
Soon the event ended and everyone dispersed. Advika was so happy that she immediately went and hugged Saagarika saying "Wow Jiji now you became my Bhabhi. I am so happy. You and Bhrata are perfect for each other. Ooh I have to tell this to Maata and Pita." Saagarika smiled and hugged her back laughing at her enthusiasm.
A/N: So this was a little long . And yes I have added a sister to Draupadi. After all a perfect girl should be a pair for our Perfect Prince Indrajit no? And yes I reduced Draupadi and Dhristadyumna's ages.
Indrajit is 26 here and Advika 24.
