After the Texas GP, I needed to be back at school so I didn't join Lando again for his next races, we only saw eachother on Facetime, but the last race is this weekend in Abu Dhabi and I'm joining him there.
''You landed already? x''
My eyes went from the text on my phone to the airport I was walking in, this airport was really big and neat. ''Yes. Now walking up to you :)'' I text back fast as I pull my suitcase behind me.
I look around to see if I saw the boy I was missing for weeks, but no curled headed boy in sight. I bite my bottom lip and just keep on walking.
''Miss Rowan!'' I hear a deep voice call me, I feel two hands on my hips and a body what is hugging me from behind. I try to turn around to face the voice when I hear..
''I missed you so much.'' Lando cooed soft in my ear while he gives me a kiss on my temple. I drop my suitcase, turn around as I jump into his arms. ''I missed you tooo.'' I say excited while hugging him tight. I move away from his neck and give him a long kiss on his lips.
''I'm happy you here for the last race of the season.'' He says as he puts me down on the ground again. ''Yeah, me too. You ready for your winterbreak?'' I say smiling as he grabs my suitcase and we walk out of the airport together.
''Yes, because I can see you and... I can stream a lot more than now.'' He says with a cheeky smile as he looks around as we arrive outside. ''Ah, there he is.'' Lando speaks up and points to a old mini bus with lots of advertisement of the circuit on it.
''Okay, promise that you won't laugh beca-'' Lando speaks up as he opens the door from the mini bus.
''Hey Lau.'' Carlos speaks up as he lifts the sunglasses of his nose and smiles warmly. I began to laugh and look around the mini bus. ''Hey Carlos.'' I say amused as I get into the mini bus with my backpack as Lando throws my suitcase in the back.
''We couldn't find any other car at that moment..'' Lando says as he gets into the mini bus and closes the door. ''So we basically grabbed this one. I don't know if it was allowed but we'll see.'' Carlos smiles sweet as he puts his sunglasses on his nose again and starts the bus. These boys...
The engine stutters but came to life as Carlos looks around to drive away from the parking lot. We drive away from the airport. Carlos put on some music from a local radio station as he hums along with the music.
''Wait.. Can we stop at Mc Donalds.'' Lando says excited as he pushes himself through the seats to look at Carlos his face through the mirror. ''Lando, no. Jon would be really mad.'' Carlos said while smiling as he shakes his head. I look at Lando as his innocent face came into show.
'"Carlos, come on. One time won't hurt?'' He says as he pouts his lips. Carlos looks from Lando to me and turns on his flashing light to exit the highway. ''Okay then. I won't say anything.'' Carlos smiles big as he slowly stops for a red light.
I shake my head as I roll my eyes. ''Oh Lando..'' I smile at him as he looks at me. ''I just say to Jon that Lauri was hungry after her flight.'' His eyes are glued on mine as he smirks.
''Mate!'' I yell as I push him against his shoulder. ''Blame me, yes.'' I shake my head as I laugh. ''I will play your game along, only for some chicken nuggets.'''
''Aw Lau, come on. You're not going to say you don't feel like eating some nice, tasty chicken nuggets from Mc Donalds...'' He says teasing me.
''Norris, you're a bad influence.'' Carlos speaks up. ''Hmh, yeah Carlos is right.'' I say as I look at the big smirk on Lando his lips.
''I don't care.'' He says as his lips connect to my lips. I kiss him back until Carlos starts to cough. ''Guys, please. No!'' He says while shaking his head as he makes loud puking sounds. Lando gently slaps the back of Carlos his head. ''I can turn the car around, little boy.'' Carlos teases Lando as he smirks.
''No, please.''
Carlos drives into the Mc Donalds drive thru. There was a big row with cars but it was our turn after a few minutes. ''Hi.'' Carlos says nice. ''Can we get...''

We get out of the mini bus at the circuit, our bellys full of fast food. Lando gets out and grabs my suitcase, in his other hand his McLaren cap. ''Would they be mad?'' Lando says unsure to Carlos. ''I don't think so, we only stole a mini bus and disappeared of the track without saying nothing.'' Carlos says as he puts on his McLaren cap and put his sunglasses away. Okay, that don't sounds okay..
We walk to the gates of the circuit. Lando and Carlos get checked in with their paddock pass, Lando gives his paddock pass to me as I check in with his pass. Lando still carries my suitcase as we walk through the hospitality.
''Guys!'' I hear a voice call. Lando and Carlos turn around to face Max Verstappen and George Russell. ''They are looking for you guys everywhere.'' Max says as he looks from the boys to me. ''We made up an excuse.'' George carries on while Max nods. ''But they are really mad. The interview was brought forward and you missed your video appointment with SkySports.'' Max says.
''But no worries, the other teams did their interviews and Renault is now in the booth.'' George smiles. ''Okay..'' Lando says unsure with big eyes. Oh no, problems...
''And SkySports?'' Carlos says unsure. ''So we kinda did something.... George, Alex, Charles and Me did stand in, so they did the video with us.'' Max says with a cheeky smile on his lips.
''Its probably going viral.'' George says while scratching the back of his head. ''Thank you guys.'' Lando smiles. ''Yeah, thank you for having our back.'' Carlos speaks up.
''Oh, hey Lauri.'' George and Max say at the same time. ''Hey guys.'' I smile at them. ''LANDO, CARLOS!'' Zak shouts from the McLaren hospitality. ''Oh no.'' Lando says soft as he looks anxious to Carlos.
''See you guys later!'' Max says in a hurry. ''Good luck!'' George says with a big smile as they both walk off. ''Hospitality, now!'' He says angry as he turns around and walks into the hospitality again.
''Ehm..-'' I speak up. ''Yeah, your going with us, we are probably going to be murdered.'' Carlos says with a big smile. ''Oh no.'' Lando lets out as he looks terrified. We all walk into the McLaren hospitality as we face some members of the team. They all look disappointed.
We walk up the stairs as we arrive the canteen. Lando and Carlos sits down at the table were Zak was sitting at. Zak looks up at me and points to the seat next to Lando. ''Please, sit.'' He says in a nice tone.
At the table sat some McLaren management members, also Jon and Rupert. ''What were you guys thinking!?'' Zak speaks up. ''Stealing a mini bus from a taxi driver who just went to the toilet!'' He continues. ''What? The bus was unmanned.'' Carlos says as he looks to Lando. ''Yeah, unmanned.'' Lando says while nodding violently yes with his head.
''Also missing a important interview!?'' Zak continues and did not respond to their answers. ''It was just a 'what do we expect of the weekend interview'.'' Carlos says indignant. ''Yes, we can still do the interview.'' Lando adds.
''No guys, it was the big year interview.'' Zak says as he shakes his head. ''And letting the other boys doing the SkySports interview!?'' He says. ''We now have angry teams because they did it without consultation, its a disaster!'' He continues.
''No..'' Carlos says. ''Yes.'' Lando says at the same time. Carlos frowns and gives Lando an elbow in his side. ''Ouch.'' Lando softly says.
''You guys were also spotted at the Mc Donalds.'' Jon speaks up. Lando bits on his bottom lip as he looks to me. ''Guys, that's so bad before a race weekend.'' Rupert says as he shakes his head. ''Lauri was hungry after her flight.'' Lando says in defense. I look at Jon in shock. No please, don't involve me in this discussion.
''Norris, shut up. We all know it was you.'' Jon says with a little smile playing on his lips. Carlos laughs. ''Busted.'' He says.
''There will be no consequences as it is the last race of the season.'' Zak says. ''But please guys, don't be ever stupid like this again.'' Zak says strict. ''Yes, Zak.'' Lando and Carlos say at the same time. I look at them with a smile on my lips. Zak also looking at them smiling, he knows he got good drivers in his team. Stupid boys..
''Come on, get out and go to your interview.'' Zak says as he stands up. We all stand up, just as we wanted to walk away, Zak speaks up. ''By the way Lauri, I'm Zak.'' He says as we shakes hands. ''Nice to meet you.'' I say with a smile.
''Sorry for seeing the whole sermon but you know what the boys are like every now and then.'' He says as we walk together from the canteen to outside. ''Yeah, I know.'' I answer.
''Sometimes it feels like working in a daycare, but I love them.'' He says proud. Jon and Rupert are walking after Lando and Carlos as we follow them. ''I can use some food.'' Rupert speaks up.
''We can go to Mc Donalds?'' Lando speaks up.
'''NORRIS!'' Jon shouts as he slaps him on the back of his head. Zak and me are laughing as we pass some of the drivers.
''Hey, you guys survived.'' Charles speaks up. Max, George and Alex are looking up at the six people walking to the interview building.
''Yeah for now.'' Zak says to them. Max and George are looking at Zak in shock. ''Just kidding boys, have a nice day.'' He says with a sweet smile playing on his lips.
''You too, Zak.'' They say at the same time.
