Chapter 70: Chapter 63 Itchy foot

But still, they really can't do much against each other. I don’t mean that they counter each other or anything, I mean that they can’t use their full strength unless they risk killing the other.

For Shion, she probably could have just wildly started smashing the area disregarding vision while in the dust cloud, but she couldn’t unless she accidentally hits Mikoto in a vital spot. She could reduce the force of her attack if she knows Mikoto’s exact location, but if she doesn’t…

And Mikoto too. Her railguns were weaker than normal. Even her normal metal coin railguns could cause the same amount of damage as the meat bun coin railgun I just saw IF she used her full strength. Yeah, Mikoto has grown a lot since coming here.

As for the meat bun coins… Well, she could blast a rather deep hole into a mountain if she was serious. Since Railgun is more of a single target attack the size wouldn’t have increased much, but the force behind it would be a whole other story.

Anyway, because of this, they can't go full strength against the other without the risk of killing them. I wonder if I could do something… I guess I can make some kind of time chamber that reverses time in a certain area whenever someone dies?

I'm going to have to be there personally for the magicule drain it would take, since… you know… it’s reversing time, but it could work.

While Rimuru was thinking to myself, Mikoto and Shion were talking between themselves as well.

Shion- “You could have held back a little with that attack…”

Shion lightly complained as she rolled her shoulders, emphasising her destroyed clothes that is now exposing her back.

At the time, Mikoto launched a small lightning explosion directly hitting Shion’s back. Shion herself wasn’t hurt, as Mikoto obviously knew her limits and held back, but Shion’s shirt didn’t exactly share her resistances.

Mikoto- “Ahaha… maybe. I mean, I wasn’t thinking too much about your clothes at the time.”

Mikoto embarrassedly laughed while scratching the back of her head. Unlike Shion, Mikoto’s own clothes arent that damaged. Instead of wearing Shuna’s personally made clothes, she’s currently wearing her Tokiwadai uniform.

“It’s more comfortable in a fight.”

Well, although her clothes aren't damaged…

Mikoto- “I'm a bit dirty…”

Shion- “I'm a bit sweaty too…”

Well, after all that fighting, of course, they’re going to get dirty.

Mikoto- “…”

Shion- “…”

Mikoto- “… Should we use the hot spring?”

Shion- “I agree with you there.”

Rimuru- “CAN I JOIN!?”

Hearing that brings me out of my thoughts with the time chamber and I ask them while nearly screaming on pure reflex.

Mikoto/Shion- “No!/Yes!”

Mikoto and Shion immediately respond to me with their answers, both of them with flushed cheeks. Though the reason why they’re blushing is for entirely different reasons…

A few minutes after that while Mikoto and Shion were arguing whether to let me join or not, Shuna arrived.

Shuna- “Shion, Mikoto, Rimuru-sama, it’s almost time to eat!”

Wow, already? Man, it sucks not having a sense of hunger. There were many times where I accidentally skipped eating food.

My soul screams knowing I missed out on a chance to eat meat buns… until I just eat one anyway regardless of the time.

Meanwhile, Shuna quickly noticed the mess and is now scolding the two of them.

Shuna- “You ruined your clothes again, Shion!”

Shion- “No, there wasn’t much I could do-“

Shuna- “And Mikoto! Please stop wearing those biker shorts under your skirt! You’re ruining your feminine charm!”

Mikoto- “Eh!?”

Mikoto released a girly squeak. I wanna hear that again.

Well, regardless of how Shuna acts, she cares for everyone very much. She kind of became the doting sister to all of us. She’s the one always taking care of our daily needs, and it would get difficult without her.

Furthermore, her cooking is getting better. With references from my food and cookbooks made from [Creation], I wouldn’t be surprised if she reaches foodgasm level soon.

Everyone is quite thankful to her.

Shuna- “Here! I brought some underwear! Take off those shorts!”

Mikoto- “Eh- Wai- Hold on! Not here…! Kya!”

*Wipes bloody nose*

I speak out into the air.

Immediately after, a shadow appears kneeling next to me.

HOLY JESUS SOMEONE APPEARED!

Taking a closer look, it’s Soei.

I end up playing it off like I knew he was there all along. If Mikoto were here, my little white lie would get discovered already, but she ran away so it’s fine.

Rimuru- “So, what happened?”

Soei- “Yes sir. Gabil and his men are at the entrance of the town. What should we do with them?”

They’re here? It sure took them a while. Did they get lost on the way or something?

… Yeah, if it’s Gabil I shouldn’t be surprised at them getting lost…

Rimuru- “Hmm…? Lead the way.”

Soei- “Understood.”

We eventually find ourselves at the entrance of the town. There’s a large barrier over the town courtesy of my runes that I laid down.

What? My replication clones are from my skill, so technically I did all the work.

Anyway, there is a large barrier dome over the whole town, and where the barrier ends is where we designated the entrance/exit of the town.

And lo and behold, Gabil and his men await us.

My foot… it’s itching…

Meanwhile, Gabil shivers and closes his legs while looking around uncomfortably.
