âI was only spitting straight facts here!â
âWhat facts? The fact that I married Elgin, or the fact that I miscared?â
Either way, itâs more than Malinda can bear! Which mom doesnât ache for her own child!
Shela swallowed hard âAnyway, itâs all true! I didnât make any of it up!â
Letitia was seeing red, âYou just wait right here, donât you dare move a muscle, and you better pray that
my mom is okay!â
âIt ainât my fault if she isnât!â
âShela!â Letitia shoved her hard, and the catfight began.
You donât mess with a someoneâs parents Today, Shela was going to pay the price!
Shela wasnât going down without a fight, grabbing Letitiaâs hair and giving it a good yank
When chicks scrap, itâs all about hair pulling and clothes-ripping
The onlookers didnât know how to jump in and help, so they just stood there, freaking out.
Meanwhile, at the Ramirez Group.
In the presidentâs office, Elgin was in a meeting with a handful of company execs.
âMr. Ramirez!â Ranen burst in, looking all kinds of anxious
Elgin shot him a glance. âWhatâs got you so spooked? Spill itâ
âItâs Mrs. Ramirez sheâs throwing down at the sanatorium!â
âThrowing down?!â
Elgin snatched his car keys and made a beeline for the door, blowing off the meeting that was halfway
done!
The execs exchanged glances. Mrs Ramirez sheâs got some serious fire in her.
Just the other day. Mrs. Ramirez was all sweet and cutesy on the phone, cooing at Mr. Ramirez with a
voice so tender it could melt hearts. And now? Sheâs rolling up her sleeves and fighting!
What kind of wild card did Mr. Ramirez marry!
Elgin raced to the sanatorium, âWhoâs she scrapping with?â
âShela Ward
âWhatâs it about?â
âMrs. Sanders had to be rushed into surgery, looks like Shela said something that ticked her off.â
Elginâs face turned stormy Shela, always stirring up trouble! Such a pain in the neck!
Outside the OR, it took the bodyguards a heck of an effort to pry Letitia and Shela apart
Judging by the injuries. Letitia had the upper hand, with just some messy hair
But Shela, her clothes were ripped to shreds, barely covering her up, her face scratched up, and
clumps of her hair strewn all over the floor, courtesy of Letitiaâs pulling power.
âLetitia, youâre going too far!â Shela clutched her front, Iâm going all in!â
She lunged again, but Letitia just sneered, âThink you didnât get enough? Bring it on, Iâm not scared!â
Thinking of her mom on the brink, Letitia wished she could wipe Shela off the planet!
Just as they were about to go at it again, a commanding voice rang out, âEveryone, back off!â
Elgin had arrived. The sound of his dress shoes hitting the floor grew louder and closer
âMr. Ramirez!â Shela sobbed, âYou finally show up, If this goes on, Letitiaâs gonna beat me to death
Elgin furrowed his brow, his face stone-cold as he took in Shelaâs disheveled state
His gaze quickly shifted to Letitia. She was okay, she hadnât lost. A weight lifted off Elginâs heart
am going to beat you to death,â Letitia said, âYou will see!â
Just then, the OR doors swang open. The doctor emerged, serious-faced, âThe patientâs critical, we
need a family member to sign and make the payment now!â
spoke up. Do whatever it takes, spare no expensel
He knew if anything happened to Malinda, Letitia would shatter.
I do anything, just save my mom!â Letitia pleaded with her hands clasped in front of the doctor,
âPlease!â
âWeâll do our best!â
The OR doors closed again.
Two hours had passed, and the surgery showed no signs of wrapping up!
Letitiaâs legs gave out, nearly collapsing
âCareful.â Elgin stepped forward, wrapping his arms around her.
Letitia wasnât having it, shoving his hands away, âDonât touch me!â
He pursed his lips. âWhy you snapping at me?â
âShelaâs getting away with murder because youâve got her back!â Letitia yelled. This isnât her first
rodeo!â
Shela cried foul, I didnât do a thing Mr. Ramirez, I swear, I was just chatting with Malinda! I didnât lay a
finger on her! Sheâs sick, maybe it was just bad timing that she took a turn for the worse!â
She was twisting facts again.
Letitia pointed at her, âSo what did you two chat about, huh?â
âI. I canât remember!â Shela said. âJust some small talks!â
âYouâre scared to say!â
âI seriously canât remember, Shela shrugged, âYou pressuring me wonât jog my memory.â
Letitiaâs eyes landed on her ring
Fine. Shela wonât talk. No worries, sheâll find out!
Shela wore her ring today, the bug was still there, recording everything!
Letitia said, âJust you wait, Shela!â
âWhat, you beat me up like this and you want more?!â
âI do, I want to hit you again!
Seeing Shela in that state, Letitia was fuming, ready to jump her again.
But Elgin held her back, âEnough already.â
âYouâre stopping me? Letitia turned to him, âWhat, feeling sorry for Shela?â
Elgin ordered the bodyguards, Take Shela away.â
âYes, Mr. Ramirez
âDonât you dare leave! Letitia shouted, âSheâs responsible for my momâs crisis, and she thinks she can
just walk away? No way!â
âHer sticking around is pointless.
Letitia countered, Elgin, are you covering for her?â
He didnât respond. His lack of response prompted a chilling laughter from Letitia, âWhat if I decide to
take her on right now?â
âNot in front of me, no wayâ
Although he was not into Shela, and even less into her antics, he couldnât deny their fleeting one-night
fling. He still felt like he should acknowledge the history of that night.
Shelaâs eyes darted around, and seeing the situation, she immediately burst into tears, âMr. Ramirez,
you have no idea how heavy Letitiaâs slap is, my face is gonna be wrecked, and Iâve lost so much
hair⦠how am I supposed to live like this?â
âGo home and treat your wounds!â Elginâs voice was deep and stern. âUseless, what are you waiting
for?â
That was when the bodyguard quickly stepped in, grabbed Shela by the arm, and escorted her out.
Lettia wanted to go after her, but Elgin wrapped his arms tightly around her walst, âLooking for another
round?â
âFight Id smack her down again in a heartbeat!â
âYouâre really feisty
Yep in not the delicate, crybaby Shela. Letitia looked up at him, âSeeing her all beat up, does that make
your heart ache?â
