Chapter 129: Bringing the Maids
Time flew by as Benjamin enjoyed a well-deserved rest after going off-world frequentlyâ¦is what didnât happen.
There were plenty of things that happened in the past few months that gave Benjamin a bit of a headache.
One was dealing with Voyager, the Grandmasterâs daughter, who somehow found her way to Earth a few months back.
Since her common sense differed from normal people, she caused quite a bit of trouble on Earth now and then.
In the end, she had joined the EPD and Benjamin managed to convince her to join the intergalactic branch, thereby driving her away from Earth.
Yes, the Intergalactic branch has been completed. Benjamin couldnât be bothered with trying to find a cool acronym for it like SHIELD or SWORD and simply named it Intergalactic EPD.
Well, that was the legal name. However, everyone has gone around calling it the Freedom Corps.
Supposedly based on Benjaminâs last name and company name. And that it sounds better.
SWORD also still exists as a sort of sister-branch of SHIELD.
While the Freedom Corps provides safety to Earth and other allied planets, SWORD focuses on developing planetary defences and countermeasures.
Benjamin felt it was a bit redundant but didnât mind it much since SWORDâs budget wasnât coming from his pocket anyway.
As for the person in charge of the Freedom Corps. It was hard for Benjamin to choose a person since there wasnât a lot he knew that would be familiar with the situation outside of Earth.
Gamora was a good candidate but she didnât want it, preferring to be on the field instead.
Voyager? Hell no. Who knows what kind of trouble sheâs gonna do if she becomes in charge of the intergalactic branch.
Carol was the best candidate but she didnât want it, claiming she didnât want to become like Fury.
It was then that Benjamin remembered Valkyrie had joined Thor when they returned before.
However, Valkyrieâs situation with Hela was still a bitâ¦
Benjamin still hasnât told her that Hela was also in Earth since he didnât know how to mediate between the two.
Just when Benjamin was giving up, he saw Fury and Howard the Duck sitting on the corner talking about something.
It seems that Howard was giving Furyâ¦advice?
Benjamin thought about it for a few seconds then decided.
Let Howard the Duck become the personâ¦or rather, duck-in-charge of the intergalactic branch!
And just like that, the duck was sent back to space to go work.
As for girlsâ¦well, Benjamin didnât actively look for any but at some point, Jessica had actually brought her best friend, Patsy Walker, with her during their time together.
And wellâ¦they did ended up sleeping all togetherâ¦giving him an additional 5 Harem pointsâ¦
Benjamin also learned that Patsy joined the EPD with the nickname, Hellcat. Although she didnât have any powers, she had good fighting skills and was quite acrobatic and flexibleâ¦which Benjamin confirmed personally.
The EPD provided her with a suit to compensate for the lack of power and durability so her life wasnât in danger.
Another addition was Callisto who simply barged in when Benjamin was with Janice.
And finally, thereâs Sinthea who was brought over by the Brehe sisters at some pointâ¦
Sinthea didnât actually join the EPD but requested to join Hydra instead, as she was curious what kind of organization her supposed father was so crazy for.
Currently she was Callistoâs right-hand and the two were quite well-known in the underworld as the Two Crazies.
It seems to be because the two would retaliate with the full force of Hydra if you mess with themâ¦
Benjamin didnât mind it much as long as they only dealt with underworld forces.
Actually, Benjamin was surprised how there doesnât seem to be an end to these forces from popping up.
Youâd think that no one would dare to turn into a criminal nowadays with how the EPD was growing stronger and bigger.
Benjamin felt there was a reason for this so he simple asked the two to find it along with the Thieves Guild.
Speaking of the Thieves Guild, it seems that Silk had wanted to join it instead of the EPD so Benjamin simply told Felicia to bring her along.
The result wasâ¦she was actually quite gifted in the art of stealing!
Not just things but also information.
It wasnât through hacking but through her webs instead.
She hasnât perfected it yet but when she focuses, she could âhearâ voices through the vibrations of her webs.
Maybe because her webs were a part of her unlike the most Spider-totems, that she had developed this ability.
In any case, Felicia absolutely liked this ability and wanted to personally groom her.
She even reassured him.
âDonât worry, sheâll be just like Odessa in no time!â
Benjamin remembered Odessaâs state when he first saw her.
â¦She couldnât be thinking of doing that againâ¦right?
Well, nothing happened in the end so Benjamin didnât mind it much.
Other things that gave Benjamin a headache this past few months was the government.
Benjamin had long since disregarded them, letting them be as long as they didnât cross any moral lines.
Who knew that these guys would actually attempt to replicate the Hulk and turn a decorated General into the Red Hulk without him knowing about it until it happenedâ¦
It seems that these guys had become complacent and were still attempting to do something.
Benjamin was no longer polite.
Dealing with the Red Hulk was easy.
As for the governmentâ¦it was even easier.
With the help of Matt Murdock and Bruce Bannerâs cousin, Jeniffer Walters, and also some information that Benjamin casually hacked from the government, they managed to imprison all the corrupt officials and by the time of re-election, the next president became Major Johnson who initially was Benjaminâs superior when he was a detective.
Anyway, there was a whole lot of politics that Benjamin didnât want to deal with.
If it was upto him, he would just send them all into the Soul Prison for their audacity.
When that thought popped up in Benjaminâs mind, he was also shocked.
Has he already become this sort of person?
It wasnât that Benjamin felt disgusted by such thought. It simply felt weird as only around half a year ago, he was still a normal person who was having trouble looking for a job.
And nowâ¦has he grown some sort of God complex?
Granted, he is the God of nature but Benjamin only thought of it as a title or skill.
At that time, the System even made a joke about it.

Now, there were still about 2-3 months before Natasha gave birth.
Benjamin calculated the time and figured he might as well deal with the matter of Heven now.
At the same time, Benjamin wanted to see for himself what the so-called Gods were up and close.
As for Thor? Benjamin didnât feel like he would understand anything from the God of Hammer.
But he does need his help to go to Heven.

âCan I come with?â

Hela nodded and appeared a bit lost in thought.
â...I want to see this âelder sisterâ that Odin so constantly praises.â
Benjamin looked over to Mors.
ââTis fine. You can go take her for a walk. Just return her to me afterwards.â
â...Can you not speak like sheâs a dog or something?â
âWere you not the one who started it before?â
Mors chuckled.
Benjamin thought for a moment and remembered that was indeed the case.
Then, Selene chimed in.
âCan I also go?â
âHuh? What for?â
Benjamin asked since it was a bit sudden for Selene to want to go to Heven as well.
Selene pouted.
âWhy not? Hela can go, why not me!?â
â...â
âAlso, Iâm bored! I want to unleash my undead minions and destroy everything!â
Ever since getting the Hellfire Crown, Selene hasnât been able to use it onâ¦well, anything.
Instead, she suddenly became a maid of Death and since then, been serving Death by her side.
Now that she heard Hela, another maid of Death, was going somewhere that sounded fun, how can she not go!?
Benjamin looked at her speechlessly then glanced at Mara who simply shrugged.
âGo take her for a walk too. Return her afterwards. Do you need her leash?â
