AN: I'm back! Now I know I said I might post on Wednesday...but I really thought that my bosses will slack of a bit after the long break...I was wrong...
But even then, I thought it would only be for like 2-3 days and they will slack off on Thursday or Friday....I was wrong...
In the end, I was on a 3-4 hours OT all week long... TT_TT
But well...I survived somehow...so here it is.
Btw, Magik's origin story is quite confusing...at least, to me anyways. I had to watch a ton of videos and read a bunch of reference materials but ultimately decided to just simplify it in my version with a combination of comics and the TV Live action version.
Anyway, know you guys only want seggs scene with Magik one day...

Chapter 61: Teaching Magik Magic
After a few minutes of convincing Illyana, Benjamin finally returned to the main focus of his visit.
Still, Illyana was as uncooperative as everâ¦
âLook, I donât know what my brother told you, but Iâm fine. Even if Iâm not, you canât help me anyway.â
âAnd what makes you think that?â
âMy powers areâ¦not exactly normal.â
âI wouldnât be here if it was.â
Benjamin shrugged.
Illyana groaned.
âUgh fine. The sooner you realize you canât help me, the sooner you leave.â
Suddenly, her eyes glowed and the next moment, her arm left arm was coated with a strange armor and a sword appeared in her hand.
IIlyana waved the sword in the air and a crack appeared in midair, creating a portal to Limbo.
âSee. I can open up a portal to this thing I call the Limbo and also use its energy for other things. And sometimes, for whatever reason, it would spill out without my knowing.â

Benjamin rolled his eyes and looked at the sword in her hand.
This should be the Soul Sword that his Soul Dagger was derived from.
âWell then, fortunately for youâ¦â
Benjamin smirked and waved his hand.
The next moment, a dagger appeared in his hand. It was none other than the Soul Dagger from the System.
Benjamin waved the dagger midair as well and a similar portal appeared where he slashed.
âWould you look at that? It seems I can also open a portal to Limbo. And unlike a certain someone, it doesnât spill out without my knowing.â
Benjamin chuckled.
Meanwhile, Illyana was staring at the portal with her mouth open.
She couldnât believe that there would be someone else who could do what she could doâ¦
How is this even possible!?
Illyana frowned and looked at the dagger in his hand.
âWhere did you get that dagger?â
âDoes it matter?â
âDid you kill anyone to get that?â
âNo.â
â...â
Illyana looked at the dagger again and at Benjamin for a while.
Benjamin smiled and stepped inside the portal. He then turned to Illyana again and stretched out his hand.
âWell? Are you coming or not?â
â...â
Illyana looked at the hand stretched out to her and reached for it.
Although she doesnât know how or why Benjamin had a dagger similar to her own Soul Sword, she felt thatâ¦maybe he really could help her.
And so she reached out her hand.
Inside Limbo, the two looked around for a while before Benjamin asked.
âHow much do you know about this place?â
â...Itâs a place filled with demons and seemed to be able to connect to various kinds of realities. I found Lockheed in one of those places.â
As if on cue, a small purple dragon appeared from behind her and flew around them.
Looking closely, it seemed to resemble the hand puppet on her hand.
Benjamin looked at her hand and sure enough, it was gone.
Itâs quite interesting.
After a while, the dragon Lockheed rested on Illyanaâs shoulder and rubbed its face on her cheek.
Illyana patted it for a bit then continued.
âThis place used to be ruled by a demon called Belasco. When I was a child, heâ¦kidnapped me and locked me in this place for yearsâ¦â
â...I see.â
Illyana shrugged, seemingly unbothered by it.
âWell, he taught me how to use black magic for a bit so it wasnât all that bad. After some time, I managed to make this Soul Sword using my soul and defeated him using it before leaving this place.â
Benjamin sighed.
Although she brushed it off, Benjamin could tell that it left a lasting trauma on her.
Even if she doesnât realize it, the trauma was still there.
It should also be the reason why her powers are going out of control.
Still, Benjamin knew better than to show pity. If he did, it would probably just backfire on him.
So he simply smiled and placed his hand on her head.
âMagic huh? Then letâs start there. Since you already know black magic, Iâll teach you some white magic.â
âHuh? You also know how to use magic?â
Illyana was surprised.
Because the people around her were all mutants and havenât been exposed to magic much, she felt that they were unqualified to help her.
Now she knows that Benjamin knew magic, she was excited.
âLetâs do it! Teach me magic!â
As expected from someone who name herself Magik, she was quite a magic enthusiast.
Benjamin smiled.
Actually, he doesnât know much about Illyana in the comics. But he knew that at some point, she would also become Doctor Strangeâs student.
This meant that she should have some talent in magic.
Speaking of, it should be around the time that Doctor Strange would get an accident and learn about magic?
Benjamin felt a bit conflicted.
On one hand, Benjamin can actually go and save him to prevent the accident. On another hand, the accident was necessary for Stephen Strange to become the Sorcerer Supremeâ¦
But then Benjamin remembered how arrogant he was before the accident. Benjamin no longer hesitated and felt that there were some things that are simply meant to happen.
Still, he feels quite sorry for him so later on, heâll probably gift him a magical artifact or somethingâ¦
Benjamin soon threw the thought at the back of his mind and focused on the matter at hand.
He looked around and found a suitable floating island and flew over with Illyana.
He then stamped his feet and trees began to sprout from the ground, twisting and turning, soon, a wooden castle was formed on the floating island.
Illyana was amazed and quickly said.
âAre you going to teach me that!?â
âUhh, no. Thatâs a different power and not magic. Although you can still do something similar with magic. Itâs just a bit more time-consuming and exhausting.â
âLetâs start!â
Illyana was already excited.
Benjamin smiled wryly and began to teach her some magic.
Time passed and by the time they knew it, the day was already over.
IIlyana was dissatisfied that they had to return so quickly already and wanted to continue but Benjamin knew that her brother might be worried so it was better to let him know first.
Returning to the X-Mansion, the two left the room and found Colossus by the door pacing left and right like a worried husband waiting for the birth of his childâ¦
The instant he saw the two emerge, he quickly looked at his sister up and down first and sighed in relief.
Benjamin felt annoyed for some reason.
â...Whatâs with that reaction?â
âA-ah wellâ¦I know the girls are talking about how many women you had and was worried that Illy might already beâ¦â
âHey! Despite how it looks, Iâm not a sex addict! Nothing happened!â
âYet!â
Illyana quickly added.
Benjamin turned to glare at her.
This girl really knows how to make more trouble!
It took him a bit more time to convince Colossus that nothing happened to them.
Colossus still looked unconvinced but let it slide for now. Anyway, whatâs more important is his sisterâs condition.
âSoâ¦how is it? Can you help her?â
Colossus asked and Benjamin nodded.
âShould be. From what she told me, sheâs been taught black magic when she was a child and black magic tends to cause some side effects on the user over time so Iâm teaching her some white magic this time to sort of balance it out. At the very least, it should prove useful in terms of controlling her abilities and increasing her power.â
âMagicâ¦is it?â
Colossus sighed in relief. He was right in choosing Benjamin.
Although his sister keeps saying that she knows magic, everyone believed that it was just a byproduct of her mutant ability.
He didnât think that such things really existed.
Of course, that was before he met Benjamin.
When Benjamin said that his portal was magic, he knew that this man might be able to help his sisterâs problem.
And he was right.
Itâs just thatâ¦if only he wasnât such a playboy, he wouldnât be so worried every time the two are aloneâ¦
Benjamin looked at Colossus's expression and felt irritated again.
Is this guy still thinking dirty things again?
Benjamin sighed.
âAnyway, Iâll be visiting on the weekends to teach her some magic during this time.â
He then turned to Illyana and continued.
âOn the weekdays, practice what youâve learned. Understood?â
âEh? Donât I get any break at all?â
âNo.â
âBoo!â
Illyana raised her hand puppet Lockheed and boo-ed at him together.
Still, she didnât complain much since she wanted to learn magic anyway. As for practicing on the weekdays, she was going to have some fun âpracticingâ it anyway.
Illyana had already started to plan.
She learned to make some magic barriers earlier. She wondered if Kittyâs power can also go through it?
If she canât and placed a barrier on a wallâ¦haha, what kind of expression is that girl going to show?
She canât wait!
At this time, Benjamin still doesnât know the hell he was about to unleash in the X-Mansion and already left after saying a few more things to Colossus and Illyana.
As he was leaving, he bumped into Jean once more.
âBen! We need to stop meeting again and again like this.â
Jean chuckled as she also felt that they seem to keep bumping into each other in the hallway every time Benjamin comes and goes.
Benjamin smiled.
âI know right? We should just make a schedule. How does this Saturday sound?â
âHaha, stop it. Scottâs going to kill you one day with his glares.â
âThen we should just meet where he canât see.â
Benjamin shrugged, intending to continue teasing Jean and her relationship with Scott.
Well, although he said that, the two of them knew that they were just fooling around and werenât serious.
Benjamin was prepared to leave after chatting a few more but didnât expect Jean would agree to what he just said.
âYouâre right. Come with me, Iâll take you to a place.â
âUhhâ¦â
Benjamin was a bit taken aback.
He blinked for a bit and followed her silently.
Soon, they went outside and into the forest near the X-Mansion.
They then arrived at a lake and stopped.
â...Here?â
Benjamin looked around in surprise.
No wayâ¦is Jean also an exhibitionist like Susan? Are they going to do it out here in the open?
Jean walked by the lake and smiled.
She then used her Telekinesis to form a sort of barrier around her as she walked into the lake water, sinking in little by little.
Benjamin raised a brow and followed her similarly.
They then arrived at the bottom of the lake and into a cavity on the wall at the side.
Looking closely, it was actually an entrance to a dry cave. The cave entrance was shaped like a letter L rotated 90 degrees clockwise and there was no water in the horizontal part.
Benjamin wondered how this cave came about and looked at it in amazement.
There also seemed to be a hole above where the moonlight can seep through and light up the cave slightly.
Some minerals on the cave walls and ceilings reflect the light around the cave, creating a beautiful starry-like scene.
âThis is amazing.â
âHehe, itâs my secret place. Not even Scott knew this place. I come here now and then so I donât hear anyoneâs thoughts. Itâs the place I feel the calmest.â
Jean boasted about having discovered such a place.
Benjamin nodded.
After a while of admiring the place, he turned back to Jean who looked beautiful while being shone under the reflected moonlight.
Not even Scott knew this placeâ¦so the reason why she brought him hereâ¦
Is she really going toâ¦
Jean saw his look and rolled her eyes.
âWhat are you thinking of? Iâm not going to eat you!â
âSo youâll let me eat you instead?â
âHaha! No! Itâs about what we talked about earlier. About teaching me in controlling my powers.â
âAhhâ¦â
Benjamin finally remembered.
Right, they did talk about that before. Benjamin just forgot after dealing with the troublemaker Illyana.
Jean smirked.
âWhat, are you disappointed?â
Benjamin knew he was being teased but he wasnât about to get take that lying down.
He sighed exaggeratedly.
âIâm indeed disappointedâ¦for you that is.â
âHuh?â
Jean looked confused.
âIllyana said that the girls in the X-Mansion seem to know about my size quite a bit. Itâs a pity you wonât get the chance.â
Jean was speechless.
Just what has Illyana told him!?
Butâ¦wellâ¦she wasnât wrong too. Itâs basically Storm and Rogueâs fault for spreading such things and that it had even reached her.
Her gaze went down and wondered.
Is it really as big as they said?
However, when she looked up, she saw Benjamin smirking at her smugly saying as if he won something.
Jean smiled wryly.
This guy really doesnât like to lose.
Howeverâ¦she also felt a bit irritated.
If nothing else because he was looking so smug at her!
Jean squinted her eyes and snorted.
âDonât look so smug. Donât think I havenât noticed how many times youâve glanced at my breast and ass every time we meet!â
âUhhâ¦â
Benjamin was speechless.
Damn! Busted!
Benjamin coughed.
âAnyway, arenât we here to train your powers? Letâs start.â
Benjamin knew better than to continue arguing with her. Anyway, he was sure to lose. He only has one divine rod but she has two pairs of holy mountains.
Jean smiled victoriously.
And so began another round of teaching.
