River's POV
As I drove down the street towards my house, I got a text from Ryan.
Any chance you can come a little quicker? Its an emergency! I know you don't like to be rushed, but the mole here says that if you aren't here within two hours, he's not going to talk.
I rolled my eyes and took my sweet, sweet time getting home and taking a shower. I gotta stay nice a fresh, even in "emergencies." No one, and I mean no one, rushes me.
It's not even that big of a deal, why does Ryan have to exaggerate everything? If the mole won't talk after making me leave my little Cove, he will no longer have any limbs attached to his body.
I slipped on a black shirt, black pants and a black hoodie before leaving in my black car. I think I have an obsession with black, but it's not as big as my obsession with Cove.
Nothing's bigger than my obsession with Cove. Okay maybe except for the thing between my legs. Haha, I know very funny. I'll stop ranting now.
I parked my car and walked inside. As soon as I entered, Ryan came to my side and started talking. "Boss, he's getting impatient c'mon," he said and he started walking to the elevator.
I followed him in and he pressed the X button. The doors closed and the elevator started its decent.
"Sooooo, the public punishment is tomorrow, right?" Ryan asked. There it is, I can tell he's been waiting to ask about it ever since I arrived. I gave him a stiff nod and walked out of the now open doors.
He followed me to the door, and even opened it for me. How kind. I walked in and saw two guys suspended in the air with tons of chains around their bodies and gags. The old three moles are already dead.
I looked at Ryan and gave him a quick nod of approval. His dimples popped out as he smirked, contradicting with his intimidating appearance. Ryan has black hair and grey eyes. He's lean, but still has quite a few muscles.
I assume the mole that wants to talk to me is in the questioning room, so I opened the door leading to that room. As I closed the door, I could distantly hear Ryan teasing the moles in the other room.
"So how's it goinggg, you guys doing all right up there? Are the chains too tight? Do you want something to eat? Drink? Smoke? Just let me know, oh wait, you ca-" The rest was muffled because I closed door.
I shook my heads at his antics and turned to face the mole. Ryan's always like that, he may look scary from the outside, but he's just a teddybear that cries during sad movies in the inside.
The mole has his arms strapped down to the chair and a chain around his stomach keeping him in place. His legs are crossed and his mouth is pulled up in a small smirk.
"Why hello there," he greeted. I rolled my eyes in response and sat in the chair in front of him. "You don't have anything to say?" He asked as his smirk grew even bigger.
I once again rolled my eyes and leaned forward in my chair. "I don't have all day, what do you want?" I snapped.
His eyes widened slightly at my no-funny-business tone, making me grin, but they quickly returned to their normal size and filled with mischief.
"Okay, be that way then. I'm here to help you out," he smirked. I rolled my eyes for the millionth time today and stood up.
"You have five seconds to start talking or else I'm shooting you on spot." He flinched at my words, but swiftly composed himself and sat up a little straighter.
"Listen, like I'm pretty sure that little snitch told you the other day, I'm a mole. Ernie sent me, Joshua, Liam, Shay, Levi, Isaac and that discussing little snitch to spy on you. And might I say we did a great job," he said.
I groaned and sat back down in the chair. "I know that, tell me something I don't know before you no longer have a head attached to your body."
"Fine, you want to hear something you don't know? What you don't know is that this whole time I've been distracting you. Right now Ernie and the rest of the moles are fleeing to safety. Any second now, an army of men are going to come rescue me, and you're going to let me go," he replied.
Honestly, I'm not even surprised that Ernie is pulling something like this. Or at least trying to. I'm sure Ryan didn't let them get within two feet of the moles. I smirked at him, which clearly wasn't his anticipated reaction, and stood up.
As I reached for the door handle to leave, it was suddenly thrown open. Just like the mole promised, I was met with at least fifteen men armed with guns.
"You weren't bluffing," I mumbled as I pushed the red button on the wall that alerts the other guys of danger. The guys flinched at the loud alarm that started blaring and took a step back.
"Listen up! In less then thirty seconds, you guys are going to be swarmed by my men. I suggested you drop your weapons and sit against the furthest wall, or risk the chance of getting shot," I announced.
About half of the guys Immediately dropped their guns and practically ran to the wall, while the other half continued to stand their ground. Oh so we got some brave ones, nice.
Sure enough, not even twenty seconds after I said that, about fifty armed men flooded the room. "Get on your knees!" My head guard Noel shouted.
The guys' eyes widened and they all obeyed, all except for two. Those two guys aimed their guns at my head and stood in an attacking stance.
I gave the guards a signal, and before anyone else could do anything, the two guys were on the ground with a bullet in the back of their heads.
"Unless any of you guys want to end up like them, I suggest you all drop your weapons and sit against the wall with those other guys," I ordered while pointing to the guys sitting against the wall.
Everyone obeyed, and with everyone gone I can finally see the mole who's cowering against the chair with eyes. full of fear and regret. Good, he should be scared.
I aimed my gun and shot him in the leg. "That's for waisting my time," I said over his obnoxious screams and cries.
"Shut him up," I seethed while exiting the questioning room. Now I'm going to take some of my anger out on the other moles... the moles... oh sh*t they're gone.
"Backup!" I yelled and waisted no time on rushing to the elevator. I heard footsteps running behind me as I entered the elevator. About 13 other guards also made it in before the doors closed. The other guards will have to take the stairs.
Someone pressed the main floor and the elevator started the journey up. As soon as we got to the top and the doors opened, we rushed out.
I frantically looked around and spotted a suspicious group of people outside. The guards seemed to realize who they are before I did, because they are already running outside.
I followed suit and stood back as a handful of guards tackled Ernie and the moles to the ground. In seconds, they were all in handcuffs and were being dragged back inside.
I took this time to look at my phone and realized that it's already 4:45, and I forgot to pick up Cove. I quickly shot her an apology text and I hope that she caught a ride. I never, ever want her to walk home by herself after that Hector incident.
"Boss!" Someone called. I looked up from my phone to see Noel waving me over. I went to him, a little annoyed that he interrupted me before I could get a text back from Cove.
"Okay Boss we have them all tied up on floor X. As for Ernie's guards, we recruited about 3/4 of them and killed the rest," he announced. I gave him a approving nod and headed back up to my office.
In my office, I started working on planning on what I'm going to do tomorrow for the public punishment. I'm going to make it a lot worse now that we have Ernie with us.
It was extremely stupid for him to come try to do a rescue mission and play hero to the moles. Now we have him in our possession, and I'm going to murder him. I'm going to Torture him to death for all the sh*t he put us through.
I spent hours working on my plan for tomorrow and coming up with a list of things I need for the torture. Finally at eight o'clock, I finished everything and gave the list to one of my guys so he can buy the things and get them ready.
I left the building and drove home. At home I stripped down to my boxers and sat on my bed, then I decided to call Cove. She picked up after the third ring.
"Hello?" I said.
"River!" She cheered adorably. I can feel her smile through the phone, making me smile.
"I misseeeeddd youuuu," she whined.
"I misseeedddd youuuu too," I said mimicking her. She huffed playfully and started ranting about her day.
I smiled at her and happily listened to her talk about shopping for like ten minutes. She complained about her friend buying her "inappropriate" clothes, but secretly I can't wait to see her in them.
"So, what did you do? How was your day?" She asked. I stiffened at her question and paused to think of a quick lie.
"Ummm, well my friend had an emergency and needed my help," I lied. I hate lying to her, but it's for the best. She doesn't know about my gang, and it's best that it stays like that. For now at least, she'll learn at some point.
"Oh okay, is it that guy Ryan or something?" She asked.
"Um yeah, how do you know him?" I asked curiously. I don't remember her meeting him, and he doesn't go to our school or anything.
"You were talking to him when we went to that place with lots of people smoking," she answered. Realization crossed my face, but my mood dampened when I remember what happened there.
"Oh and speaking of that, today when we were at the mall this guy kept calling me little one and told me to call him daddy. I don't get it, he's not my dad, why did he want me to call him daddy? It's very weird. He also got super mad when I told him that I'm not little, and he squeezed my thigh super hard. It really hurts and now there's a really big bruise. Leah scared him of though, but that was weird right?" She asked.
My fist clenched and I got the urge to beat someone up, to beat him up. How dare he touch my Cove.
The worst part is, she doesn't understand that he was trying to flirt with her. He got aggressive when she didn't want to be his "little one," and she didn't even understand what was going on.
She too innocent and naive for this world, thank God for her friend Leah. Who knows what he would have done to her without me there to protect her. I can't even leave her alone without gross guys like him trying to take advantage of her.
I took a deep breath to calm myself down. You're going to publicly claim her soon, then every will know she's mine, I reminded myself.
"Cove, baby, he was trying to hit on you. You can ask Leah about it and she'll explain it better," I replied.
"Oh, well that's a weird way to do it. Why would I want him if he hurt me, plus I already have a boyfriend!" She answered.
I shook my head at her innocence and said goodbye. She said goodbye back, then we hung up.
I ate dinner and brushed my teeth, then went to bed.
The next day....
I woke up at around 10 o'clock and shot Cove a quick good morning text.
Good morning baby, did you sleep well?
She responded not even twenty seconds later.
Yes I did! We didn't go to sleep until like 2 in the morning because we were binge watching The office.
I chuckled at her response and got up to make breakfast. I ended up just cooking some eggs, which I ate pretty quickly quickly. As I stood up to put my plate in the sink, I got another text from Cove.
Are you coming back today?
I sighed and quickly responded. I've been waiting for her to ask this question, and it breaks my heart to disappoint her.
No baby I'm sorry, I'll see you tomorrow though I promise.
She didn't respond after that, so I figure that she's upset. I wish I could make her feel better, but I can't.
I got dressed in all black and brushed my teeth, then grabbed my things and got in my car. I decided on one of my older grey trucks so that I can smoke during the drive.
I drove to the clearing for the meeting. As I have mentioned before, my layouts are located in several different places. The clearing is a huge stretch of land in the middle of the forest that's pretty much just training grounds, but I'm going to use it for our meeting today.
After about 45 minutes, I finally made it to the familiar dirt road. I speed down the road for about 5 minutes before finally making it to the clearing.
I got out of my car and stomped on my cigarette to put it out. A few sparks flew around and the cigar made a soft "sttt" sound before it crumbled into a small deformed ball.
I walked through the small entrance that has an old farm sign that's now covered in graffiti. I kept walking until I spotted around 400 men sitting in plastic folding chairs in front of a make shift wooden stage.
On the stage there's the three moles, and our new addition Ernie tied to some wooden poles with blindfolds on. About 8 guards are standing behind the stage, and Ryan and Andrew are seated on some chairs at the edge of the stage.
I made my way to the stage through the path in the middle. Once I got there I climbed up the steps and stood in the front. I raised my arms and the crowd erupted in cheers, Ryan definitely cheering the loudest from behind me.
"Alright alright, ladies and gentlemen, the moment we've all been waiting for, it's time to begin!" Ryan cheered as he stood up with a mic in his hands.
The crowd made even more noise as I walked over to the moles and untied my first victim, Liam.
*Warning, lots of gore*
I took the rope and tied him in a way that elevates his whole body with his arms suspended it the air. Then, I waved Andrew over and he brought me my first item, a bucket of boiling hot water.
He placed it on a stool and put the stool underneath the Liam's feet, just like I instructed him too.
I slipped on a pair of extremely thick gloves and ripped of Liam's shoes. I grabbed his bare feet and dipped them completely in the water.
His screams filled the air and the crowd's cheers got even louder. I left him there with his feet trapped inside do to some metal chains as I went to the next mole, Liam.
I took Liam and did the same exact thing, then I grabbed the third mole, Peter. Peter is the one who waisted my time yesterday.
Instead of burning his feet, he's going to have no feet. I tied him down to a long table with his feet hanging off. I then grabbed a very sharp knife and sliced right through his left foot.
He screamed and screamed as blood poured all over my shoes. I cut his second foot off and he passed out from blood loss. I had one of our doctors fix him up just enough so that he can endure the rest of his punishment.
I did the same thing to Ernie, who somehow didn't pass out, the grabbed another bucket of hot water.
I poured the boiling water around each of the guys' mouths, which formed a nice lumpy burn. "Now you can no longer snitch," I announced.
Finally, for the last part of the torture, I had all of the guys move back. I got everyone but the moles and Ernie off of the stage, then poured gasoline all over their clothes and bodies.
They begged and begged for me to spare their lives, but that on edged me on. Once they were completely drenched, I light the stage on fire and ran.
I watched as they screamed at the top of their lungs and cried, before everything went silent. They're dead.
After about 30 seconds of complete silence, I had the guards put out the fire while all of my men screamed and cheered at the top of their lungs.
End of gore warning
I held my meeting on the grass and just talked about some random important things, then we finally headed home at around 4:00 o'clock.
A soon as I got home I did a bunch work and talked to Cove again, then I went to sleep.
