âWhere did you go?â Cheryl looked at him angrily. âI thought you left me alone and ran off!â
âUm⦠I went to check out the room and picked up some breakfast on the way. We are in a hurry today,
so weâll be leaving after the meal.â
Most importantly, he received a call from Anna Coleman to avoid Shaun Baker as much as possible.
Cheryl was still slightly angry in her heart. After washing up, she ate her food quietly.
Soon, the two people left the inn room.
âDo you need to inform your friend?â Cheryl asked when they reached the ground floor.
âNo need for that. Iâve already informed the inn receptionists. Theyâll help me to inform him. It was an
occasional encounter anyways. Weâve already met with an unnecessary issue yesterday, hopefully
everything goes well on todayâs trip,â Alex said as he shook his head.
However, just as they walked out of the inn, they encountered Soraya Melvis.
Soraya glanced at them coldly and brushed past them.
She still did not know that the man before her was the person who rescued her yesterday. Moreover,
he was Alex Rockefeller from Divine Constabulary of South California whom she wanted to look for so
badly.
âHold up!â She suddenly turned over and shouted out to Alex.
In fact, if Zachary had not strongly requested him to hide his identity temporarily, he did not have to
avoid her at all. At this moment, he turned his body slightly. âYes, anything?â
Soraya took a close look at Alex and Cheryl for a moment. She realized that they did not have any

Soraya was stunned for a moment Immediately afterwards, she reacted. âUgh! Youâre such a pervert!
Compared to your friend, youâre so far behind! Some people should really open their eyes wide open
when looking for a boyfriend. Donât get cheated by his looks only. Guys with good outer appearance
tend to have to be ill intentioned.â
Cheryl said, âYou should be thanking him.â
âWhat should I thank him for?â
âBecause I told you my friendâs room number,â Alex said as he took over the conversation. Then, he
waved his hand and pulled Cheryl to leave the inn.
Not long after they left the inn, a helicopter landed on somewhere not far away. Shaun rushed over
while bringing along two highly skilled members of Divine Constabulary.
Even Alex, who was on the path in the small town of Morro leading to the western rainforest, could see
the descending helicopter and Shaun who jumped off from the helicopter.
âNo wonder heâs a Grandmaster!â Alex did not stop after taking a glance. He took Cheryl on the jungle
path.
Chery asked, âWhy didnât you tell that woman just now that you were the one who saved her
yesterday?â
Alex replied, âThereâs no need for that!â
Soon, the narrow path under the two peopleâs feet was getting less obvious. It had become a rugged
grassy road, with bushes and branches sprouting everywhere. From time to time, they could even see
snakes and rats being startled, causing Cheryl to shriek in fear repeatedly.
Alex opened up the hand drawn map, which was given to him by James Coney before he left, and took
a look. He identified a direction but it was getting harder to walk until the point that there was nowhere
to put their feet down. He squatted down. âLet me carry you on my back!â
âItâs fine. I can walk on my own!â
As a result, she stubbornly took a few steps forward, only to see an arm thick flower spotted snake.
She was so frightened that she fell down and sat on the ground. Then, she hurriedly jumped up and
jumped back to Alexâs side.
