With this, everyone fell silent, too shocked to say anything.
Wendy froze for a couple of seconds before snapping back to reality, yelling. âMorn! You can actually
talk now? You⦠Are you really cured now? That was quick! That was amazing, just amazing! Big
brother really did hand you a miracle pill!â
Kenneth was overwhelmed as well.
Alice used to be gorgeous. She may not be the prettiest of them all but was considered a one in a
million. The couple knew each other since they were young, so their relationship was solid and stable.
However, after she was diagnosed with cancer, she started withering away like a fragile flower.
Chemotherapy had destroyed her looks as well, no longer the beauty she once was.
âPffftâ¦â Suddenly, Alice vomited another mouthful of blood.
There was a black blob within the blood as well, and it looked like a blood clot.
Shamus shook his head. âYou guys are getting ahead of yourselves. Sheâs vomiting blood, for godâs
sake! Do you still not see that her condition has worsened? She may be able to talk, but I donât think it
means that sheâs better. Sheâs breathing her last breath! This is terminal lucidity. She doesnât have
much time left.â
Karen was cackling coldly as well. âWhat a bunch of idiots! You were absolutely tricked by these
scammers. Sheâs going to die soon, yet youâre still so happy about it. Iwonder if you really are that nice,
or are you just flat out stupid?â
Their words made the two Sunders panic. They immediately asked how Alice was feeling at the time,
concerned about her condition.
Alice shook her head. âI donât know, but my throat feels a lot better. It doesnât hurt as bad anymore.â
Shamus shook his head again. âThatâs because youâre bleeding. With extra moisture in your throat, itâs
only natural that it wouldnât hurt as bad. But your condition has definitely worsened! All I can say is, Iâm
truly sorry for your loss. If you had just listened to us and continued receiving treatment in the hospital,
you wouldâve been able to live another four or so years. Not even God could save you now.â
The Sundersâ expressions darkened.
Wendy turned to Alex immediately. âBig brother, what do we do? Would my mom be alright? Didnât you
say that youâd cure her without any problems?â
Xyla interrupted her. âDonât worry, if he said that there wouldnât be any problems, then there wonât be.â

Alex smiled. âCalm down. Itâll be alright. Besides, she hasnât vomited enough blood yet. Let me help.â
After that, he grabbed Alice by the neck and compressed it lightly, repeating the process three times in
a row.
âBleurgh! â Alice vomited a large pool of old blood as if it had come out of her stomach instead of her
throat. This gave everyone quite a shock.. Alice was pale in the face herself, petrified as well.â
However, all Alex did was shrug. âAlright, I guess thatâs about it!â
Aliceâs condition started changing once more, and her face didnât look as pale as it did. Moreover,
luscious black hair was miraculously growing out of her bald head too!
âWhat?â
âHow could she grow hair in such a short time? This is unbelievable!â
âWhat is going on? Thereâs no way⦠How could something like this happen?â
As soon as they saw the changes in Aliceâs body, all of them were stunned. It was as if they saw her
travel back in time. She looked as if she had managed to travel five years back within five minutes,
where her hair ended up growing out till her waist too.
âHer hair is so long that itâs at her waist now!â
Turning back to her face, she no longer looked like a cancer patient. Her rosy cheeks and energetic
eyes were back, no longer covered in wrinkles.
âMom!â
âDarling!â
The father and daughter immediately rushed over to her and embraced the woman tightly.
