After dealing with Koda, Waltz hugged Alexâs arm and said, âAlex, thereâs something big spreading
through the internet! There was this battle between powerful cultivators above the cities of Michigan!
They even crushed a building with one mere step! Thatâs way too insane, isnât it? How could such
powerful humans exist?â
âIt came up online?â replied Alex.
âYeah, everyoneâs talking about it now. I was just telling Maya about this too⦠Huh? You know about it
already? Could you have been a part of that battle? You just came back from Michigan, right?â
âThat person was there to kill me!â
Just as Alex said this, the women started panicking. âWhat even happened?â
âYeah, how did you manage to provoke such a powerful person?â
Alex said, âLetâs head inside first; itâs pretty cold out here⦠Oh, and itâs almost new yearâs eve, right?
But I donât think I can spend time at home with you all that day.â
âWhy?â asked Maya.

With that, everyone entered Alexâs room. Waltz and Maya sat on the bed next to each other whereas
Brittany sat on a chair nearby and Holly sat on the floor. They listened attentively to him as he talked ab
out the Stone Age realm, the meteor, the dungeon, the Five-star Warlord, the Flying Eagles
Academyâ¦
Alex then realized that among the women, Holly was the only one who didnât seem shocked by his
stories, as if she knew all of this long ago.
His eyes lit up, and he asked, âHolly, youâre not unfamiliar to all those things, are you?â
Holly shook her head, and upon noticing Alexâs gaze on her, she bowed. âIâm sorry, brother. I didnât tell
you the truth. Iâm not an orphan!â
She then noticed that everyone was smiling at her.
âYou guys made that assumption already?â
âWe were just waiting for you to tell us yourself!â said Waltz.
Holly pouted. âAlright, Iâll be honest My dad is the president of the Mountain Warriors, and l secretly ran
away from home⦠Brother, Godmother, I didnât mean to lie. I was just worried that you guys would kick
me out once you found out! My mom died when I was still really young, and I miss her so much. Thatâs
why seeing you, Godmother, felt like I was seeing my mom againâ¦â
Holly then wiped her tears.
Brittany approached her immediately and gave her a big hug. âOh, donât cry. I already see you as my
own!â
Maya and Waltz came over to hug her as well.
On the other hand, everyone rolled their eyes at Alex.
âHey, I didnât do anything. Why is everyone blaming me for this?â
Suddenly, the door was pushed open. A little girl walked in, barefooted. âPapa, Nana, Auntie, why are
all of you here? Iâm afraid of sleeping alone.â
It was Winniefred, and she was currently only in a set of small pajamas.
Now that her mother, Zella, was still training with Dorothy on the Untitled Island, she couldnât spend any
more time with Winniefred. Moreover, Alex, her so-called father, wasnât home most of the time. Brittany
had to take care of her.
Hence, even during the night, Brittany would sleep next to her⦠It was great that Lush Cosmetics was
on a roll, thus, Maya could handle everything on her own.
With this, Brittany could go on semi-retirement. Apart from making the more critical decisions for the
business, she basically didnât have to manage anything else.
Alex picked Winniefred up, feeling slightly guilty towards her.
As soon as she was picked up from Alaska, she was forced to leave her mother. However, he wasnât

âWinnie! Did you miss Papa?â
