âOf course not!â Alex immediately denied it. âWhy would I ever dump you aside? Didnât I tell you that I
had to go to Flying Eagles Academy? I just came back yesterday.â
Cheryl had only said that for the sake of saying it, but she was indeed curious about Flying Eagles
Academy after Alex mentioned it.
âWhat was it like there?â
Alex said, âItâs hard to explain, but youâll understand when I bring you there for a tour! Itâs just bigger
than most academies and provides different courses.â
âIâll be looking forward to that then.â
After entering the lab, he noticed that Guilherme wasnât back with Cheryl. He was currently in front of a
table.
Now that he had worked with Cheryl for quite a while, his spirit powers seemed to have increased
slightly. However, without a body, it was difficult for him to do most things. For example, he couldnât do
any of the experiments on his own.
âMaster!â Guilherme greeted and bowed respectfully to Alex.
Alex looked at him, asking, âGuilherme, would you like to carry out experiments on your own? I have a
way to let you have a temporary body.
âAre you going to use that guyâs corpse out there?â asked Cheryl.
Alex shook his head. âOf course not. He doesnât deserve that.â
Alex could never bring himself to do such a thing. It would be an insult to Guilherme if he let him
possess Peteâs corpse. He then took out a paper doll.
Softly chanting the Paper Doll Curse of Three Realms, the doll immediately became life-size, but only
at the thickness of a piece of paper.
The entire thing looked slightly odd.
Despite this, Guilherme seemed surprised. âThatâs the Paper Doll Curse of Three Realms by the Gods
of Medicine! Master, congratulations on learning such a precious skill!â
Alex froze. âYou know this too?â
Guilherme replied, âBack in the day, my teacher was researching the Paper Doll Curse of Three
Realms as well. He left some information on it after he passed. Sadly, I couldnât wrap my fingers
around it.â
Guilherme smiled. âIâm more than willing to, master.â
After he shifted into the paper doll, it started expanding from the sides.
Alex then placed his thumb and index finger together, tapping the paper dollâs forehead.
Cheryl was surprised to see the pale, dull paper doll turn into Guilherme in a mere second. She stared
at him in disbelief.
âCan I touch it?â she asked Alex.
Alex smiled. âOf course.â
Cheryl touched Guilhenneâs shoulder gently, but it felt strange. It still felt like she was touching a paper
doll, despite it taking the look of a living, breathing person. This was just how incredible the Paper Doll
Curse of Three Realms was.
Alex said, âI just learned the basics too, so Iâm not all that familiar with this skill. This paper doll can only
be preserved for a week at most, so youâd have to change out by that time. But I could prepare a few
more.â
Guilherme stood there, feeling around his newfound body. He himself was amazed by this power. He
then put his hands together and bowed to Alex. âMaster, this is amazing as it is.â
Alex then asked, âShow me the poison that you guys found then. What is it?â
Cheryl pointed at the test tubes on the laboratory table. âThis is it. These are the toxins that have been
extracted from the patients! But this poison affects patients in a very odd way. It wonât kill them, but it
turns them semi-conscious, and their mobility deteriorates. Itâs like they turn into beasts.â
âOh?â Alex was stunned.
âSuch poison is indeed weird,â he thought. He picked up a test tube carefully.
However, just as his fingers touched it, he sensed that the toxins within the tube were the exact same
as the one that poisoned Jade.
âWhat could this all mean?â
