Jade Benmoreâs voice was loud and sharp, and she looked to be in an unstable mental state after that
exclamation. Her eyes were fixed on the phone screen, and tears streamed down her face.
She was Jade Benmore!
She was a strong woman, the goddess of war, who had been waiting for death with no hint of emotions.
Now, she looked excited and sad at seeing the little boy on the phone screen, it was quite unbelievable.
âBlaze? Master, you know this boy?â Alex looked at Jade in surprise.
Jade grabbed the phone and loudly said, âPoint the camera at his face. I want to see his face⦠His
forehead, show me his forehead.â
Cheryl didnât know what was happening, but she quickly pointed to the camera as swiftly told, focusing
on the boyâs forehead. Cheryl found that there seemed to be a mark on his forehead, a pattern of a
flame.
Jade trembled all over in the next second. âBlaze, itâs really Blaze. Heâs alive. Heâs alive!â
She wrapped her arms around Alex and cried.
Alex was stunned. âMaster, who is he?â
âHeâs my son,â Jade said. âHis name is Blaze Benmore.â
âWhat?!â Alex was shocked. âMaster, you⦠Didnât you say that you had no children?â
âI did. Heâs my childâ¦â Jade replied. âThough I didnât birth him, I am his motherâ¦â
As though she had recalled something painful, she trailed off, unable to say anymore.
After a few seconds, she immediately said, âAlex, hurry and tell me where he is. Take me there, I want
to see him right away, now.â
âThis⦠Alright.â

Alex quickly spoke to his family, and when everyone heard that Commander Benmore had found her
lost son, they were happy for her and naturally didnât say a word of protest to stop them.
Maya said considerately, âDo you want me to drive you there?â
After all, neither of them was in good shape.
Alex waved his hand and said, âItâs fine. Iâll take Whitey with us. Itâll be fine. You guys can go ahead and
prepare the food. Weâll be back soon! By the way, I want to call a few others to come over for New
Yearâs Eve later, is that okay?â
âItâs up to you,â Maya said. âHowever many you want to call over.â
âOkay!â
Alex and Jade sat atop Whitey and sped towards Long Beach Mercy Hospital.
Jade spoke to Alex on the way there, telling him about Blaze, a child she had adopted more than thirty
years ago. He was a talented child, born with fire attribute powers, and had strong combat capabilities.
In addition, he was a kind boy.
âA child you adopted more than thirty years ago?â Alexâs eyes were wide. âMaster, did you see wrongly
then? That kid looks to be at most ten years old, and it canât be a child you adopted more than thirty
years ago, right? So according to the timeline, he should be in his thirties and older than me!â
Jade shook her head. âHeâs like that. The speed of his growth is slower than an average person.â
Alexâs lips parted. He wanted to ask her what she meant by slower than an average person?
âWas he born with dwarfism?â
Jade seemed to know what he was thinking and said, âBlaze wasnât born with dwarfism, heâs just a
talented person, and his physical growth is slow! He was about the same as Luna last time, looking
about five to six years old. Of course, heâs grown a lot now.â
So, in other words, when an average person grew ten years, Blaze only grew one year.
That was just too exaggerated. Also, he could naturally breathe fire.
