Without taking a glance, Alex could tell the expression on Aurelius’ face. It was definitely darker than a

black pan.

After that, the man, Aurelius, did not say anything. He just satin his seat and looked at Alex and Clara

from time to time. During this period, Clara chatted with Alex for a while. She probably wanted Aurelius

to give up on her completely, so she leaned closely to Alex on purpose. She was even sitting on the

seat’s armrest now… The seats in the first-class cabin were all couches. Even the armrests were soft

During their conversation, Alex knew Clara stayed in Japan and rarely went back to America after

graduating from high school. She just returned to the country very few times in the past few years, so

she was considered to have emigrated to Japan. Her father was a senior executive of a certain

company in Japan, whereas she was currently a sales manager in a food company in Japan. She

came over for a business trip for the collaboration of domestic channels.

As a result, she had faced a delay and could only return on the night of New Year’s Eve.

Alex instead lamented, “I didn’t expect that you’d become a citizen of Japan.”

Clara said, “Don’t look at me with such harsh eyes, okay? For ordinary people like us, we don’t apply

for citizenship just because we love that country, but it’s for the sake of survival and convenience.

Although my citizenship has now changed to Japanese, I still love America the most. So there’s no

conflict.”

“Alright, what you just said is right too.”

“What about you? Why are you going to Japan this time?”

“I’m… Going to find someone.”

“To find someone? Then, you have found the right person. I’ve been living in Japan for so long. I have

even joined several American social circles in Japan and know people from all walks of life. Just tell me

whoever you want to find. I should be able to help you find the person after posting it in social circles.”

Alex looked at her without saying a word.

Clara hammered him with her hand. “Oh my, you should say something!”

After a pause, she whispered, “Don’t tell me that you’re looking for your girlfriend, right? Did you fight

with your girlfriend? Did she go to seek diversion in Japan?”

Alex shook his head.

“Then, who are you looking for?”

“That… Have you ever heard of the Izanami Shrine?”

Clara scratched her forehead. “No… Does such a place exist in Japan? Of course, but it doesn’t

matter. There are so many shrines in Japan, just like the churches in America. You can find them

wherever you go. There are more than a thousand shrines in the entire Japan. So it’s normal that I

haven’t heard of it. I’ll help you ask about it right away.”

Just then, the young man called Aurelius spoke up, “How do you know the Izanami Shrine?”

When he said those words, not only Alex but even the Fairy Doctor and Uncle Drake pricked up their

ears at once.

Clara said, “Aurelius, do you know the Izanami Shrine? Where is it located?”

“Why should I tell him? I don’t like him,” Aurelius said bluntly.

“You… Humph, it’s fine if you don’t tell. Do you think I won’t ask someone else if you don’t tell?” Clara

snorted coldly and went to ask around in the social circles. Since the plane had not departed yet, she

had not switched off her cellphone.

Just then, Uncle Drake and the Fairy Doctor quietly looked at Aurelius. They communicated with each

other telepathically. Perhaps, they were discussing if they should take him down.

In conclusion, they decided to make a move after getting off the plane.

After another while, the plane took off.

Clara returned to her seat. On the other hand, Alex closed his eyes. He began to immerse his mind in

the golden core and continued to figure out the situation inside the golden core.

No words were spoken all the way.

Clara probably thought Alex was asleep after seeing him closing his eyes. Hence, she did not continue

to bother him. In addition, she was dead beat, so she just fell asleep.

When the plane landed, it was already midnight.

After Clara left the airport terminal, she realized Alex, the Fairy Doctor, and Uncle Drake were together.

She looked at the Fairy Doctor, who had a stunning appearance in surprise, before asking Alex,

“Where are you people staying?”

Alex seemed stumped by the question.

Uncle Drake said, “Let’s go to Higurashi Shrine.”

“Oh my, you’re going to Higurashi Shrine. That just happens to be on the way. I live close to Higurashi

Shrine. Besides, I always go to Higurashi Shrine. An expert there has taught me some martial arts. So

I’m quite powerful now.”

After that, she asked Aurelius if she could take Alex and the others to Higurashi Shrine.
