The guards pulled the wheelchair back in extremely aggressively. One of them even swung their fist
towards Dory.
Compared to this male guard in Treasure Trove, Dory was extremely weak. She even forgot to dodge
in the face of the punch. All she knew was to shriek in fear.
âAhhh!â
Bam!
As white light filled her vision, Dory felt her entire face being splattered with blood as the guardâs head
flew mid-air.
Alex held his child in one hand while holding the Sword of Universe in the other. He wasnât even
pushing the wheelchair himself, yet the chair moved slowly forward.
âDory, wait for me outside.â Alexâs calm voice rang in Doryâs ears. It just seemed unreal.
Not only did Alex kill Lily, he even killed a guard in this store. As surprised as she was, she was even
more frightenedâ¦
âWeâre up against the Usoro family now!â
âWeâre actually done for!â
âWeâre dead, oh weâre so dead! The Usoros would never let us go, no matter where we run. How could
this guy be so reckless?â
Dory felt her heart pounding out of her chest. She knew that they wouldnât be escaping this once the
Usoro family arrived.
Alex, on the other hand, was currently surrounded by the guards within Treasure Trove. She didnât
even have the chance to grab him and run.
There was quite a crowd at the time. All of them looked appalled, and they didnât back away from the
scene one bit. Mostly curious, they hoped to see what would happen next.
âThis guy is still so calm after killing two people. I think he must be of status.â
âWhat status? If this crippled father really is of status, why isnât he followed by an army of servants and
caretakers following? I say heâs just a reckless, idiotic young man!â
âLily Octavia is the sixth madamâs niece. Looks like this wonât end well for them.â
Everyone seemed quite fired up with the discussions, yet Alex paid no attention to them. He could feel
his fatherâs Chi coming from upstairs.
âI have to walk up there.â
However, ten or so guards blocked his way.
âGet out of my way, and Iâll spare your lives for the sake of my daughter,â Alex spoke up calmly.
Hearing this entertained the crowd even more.
âKill him!â the leader yelled loudly.
Shing!
The sword flashed before their eyes once more. Just then, that man felt his pants falling down from his
waist.
âAh! Iâd have to bleach my eyes!â
âOh my, how puny!â
The leader felt his mind go blank and immediately pulled his pants back up. After that, all the guardsâ
pants fell off their waist too.
Swishâ¦
âAhhh!â the woman in the crowd shrieked. Some were shocked, some were embarrassed, while some
were turned on.
âStop!â a womanâs voice came from upstairs.
Her voice was soft and slightly nonchalant as if she had just woken up. A gorgeous young woman then
walked downstairs, wearing a red dress and a purple shawl.
Someone exclaimed, âItâs⦠Frostine Usoro, the Venom Widow?!â
âOh my god. This woman is in the store. Weâre doomed, utterly doomed!â
Dory felt as if she had been struck by lightning. Her fragile body trembled as she fell on her back.
