âVenom Widow?!â
Once the guard recognized Frostineâs face, he started shaking and almost peed his pants.
âHow⦠Howâs this possible? Why is this she-devil here?â
âYou! Go to that corner and kill yourself,â Frostine growled to the guard coldly. âI donât want to kill
anyone in front of our familyâs child.â
The guardâs heart dropped, his face turning even paler than before. He didnât want his life to end like
this. However, he knew that his entire family would be destroyed if he didnât listen to the cruel Venom
Widow.
He had his parents, wife, and kids too. In the end, he clenched his teeth and actually went to the corner
of the street and stabbed himself in the heart. Before taking this last breath, he whispered in a frail and
shaky voice, âFifth Lady, please⦠Spare my family!â
The other guards trembled with fear, unable to speak. This wasnât what they had initially been
expected.
Alex took a glance at the leaderâs corpse in the corner and turned to the others. âGo back and tell your
master to meet me here tomorrow. Otherwise, Iâll make him regret.â
âWell? What are you waiting for? Scram!â Frostine scolded.
Immensely relieved, the Yggdrasill guards scurried off like rats.
Frostine seemed glad and lowered her head, causing a pleasant scent to waft into Alexâs nose.
From this angle, she would be able to kiss him if she leaned in closer. She smiled and said, âNow thatâs
more like the old master! The Yggdrasill family is no match for us anyway. If Master were to be here, he
could exterminate that entire family with one attack.â
âMy dad was that powerful?â Alex froze.
He only remembered William as an ordinary businessman. After some investigating, he only managed
to gather information to prove that William was a grandmaster.
Yet, according to what Frostine just said, his father wasnât nearly as simple as he thought him to be.
âHow many other things are you hiding from me, old man?â
âDid you not know about this? Magistra too, sheâs just as powerful,â Frostine said.
âWhat?â
Alex was shocked. âYou have a magistra too? Who is she?â
âIâm talking about your mom!â Frostine replied.
âYeah, right.â
âGod damn it. My momâs still in America!â
âLooks like that old womanizer had another affair out here.â

After this incident, Frostine decided she would stay the night with them.
The Yggdrasill family, on the other hand, was facing the shock of their lives. Shawn and Khloe had
initially returned home just to wait for their subordinates to bring Alex back. They werenât worried one
bit. However, in stead of bringing Alex back, they brought their leaderâs corpse.
After questioning the team, all of them were aghast.
âVenom Widow?â
âWhy would Venom Widow be involved? That cripple actually got on her good side?â
âThey even want me to go meet him tomorrow?â Shawn was terrified after hearing what his guards
said, but he was even angrier than before.
However, one of the higher-ranking members within the family rushed in, clearly panicked. âMaster, I
just got some news from Treasure Trove! That cripple whoâs with Dory killed the niece of one of the
Yggdrasill madames and a guard there, yet he managed to walk out scot free!â
âWhat? How did that happen?â
âRumors said that the cripple is Venom Widowâs lover. They apparently even had a child together.â
Upon hearing this, the Yggdrasills were so upset that it felt like they swallowed a dead rat. Khloe,
especially, couldnât accept this at all.
âHow could that useless cripple be in a relationship with Venom Widow?â
âDad, Venom Widow is known to be cruel and sick in the head. Iâm worried that woman might barge
into our place and attack us whenever she likes!â Dylan frowned.
âHmph, but we Yggdrasills arenât to be messed with too! A mere Venom Widow canât do much anyway!â
Shawn smiled coldly.
â⦠Unless all three thousand shadow guards came and attacked us. But⦠Would that even be
possible? If the Venom Widow has such a messy private life, itâs kind enough for the old Usoro master
to not kick her out. So we donât have to worry. Besides, the cripple was the one who made this
demand.â
