The night went by fairly quickly as Frostine stayed in Alexâs room the whole while. Since the two were
quite powerful, staying up a few nights straight wouldnât be a problem for them.
Alex asked her a truckload of questions, finally understanding some of Frostineâs past.
Before meeting William, her Nine Tails bloodline wasnât activated yet, nor was she nearly as powerful
as she was now. She was actually very frail back then.
When William met her, she was being bullied by some of the rich guys within Starborn City. She was
nearly gang raped as well, but it was fortunate that William managed to save her in time. Hence, this
was the main reason why she destroyed several families within the city, including her fiancéâs.
That was because her fiance was within the group at the time. It was simply ridiculous that her own
fiance teamed up with other men just to humiliate his future wife.

The clock continued ticking as afternoon arrived in the blink of an eye. The head of the Yggdrasill
family didnât show up at all, not even Khloe.
Frostine placed her hand on Alexâs shoulder and squeezed it gently. âBrother, I donât think Shawn
Yggdrasill is coming. Hmph! Such a coward, that old fart.â
âI think he just doesnât care,â Alex said. âIâll go to him then.â
âHmph!â Frostine huffed coldly. âHe doesnât bear that privilege to have you go over and see him
personally. Just you wait. Iâll go tie him up and bring him to you!â
Alex stared at her and nodded. âSorry for the trouble then, sister.â
âDonât be. Weâre family, after all. Wait for me.â
âHold on!â Alex grabbed her by her soft hand.
She turned around with a smile. âHmm? Brother, we had already had a sleepover last night. Are you
starting to miss me already?â
Dory, who was nearby, couldnât help but feel shocked, her eyes darting toward time and time again.
Alex chuckled. âI just donât want you to die. Come a little closer.â
Frostine sat on his lap. âDo I need to be even closer?â
âThatâs quite enough!â Alex felt nervous. âHow is this woman more flirtatious than Waltz?â
Just then, he reached an arm out and pressed Frostineâs stomach.
Frostine froze. Although she had been voluntarily flirting with Alex, him touching her stomach was a
rather different case. She felt⦠Quite smug about it.
She blinked a few times. âBrother, do I need to take off my clothes?â
âNot for now,â Alex replied. He then extracted some of his Chi from his golden core and used it on her
stomach.
In that instant, Frostine was surprised. âBrotherâ¦â she whispered.
Alex interrupted her. âFocus and stay calm. Your core is damaged, so Iâm giving you a hand. Youâll be
able to capture those people more easily then.â
Frostine was nervous yet appalled. She had never told anyone that her core was damaged. âHe could
tell just by looking at me? And he can cure it?â
Five minutes later, Frostine tried sensing her core and jumped with joy. She then kissed Alex on the
corner of his lips and said, âBrother, watch me stand up for you!â
