Frostine slapped Khloe across the face, causing the veil over her face to fly off.
It instantly revealed a⦠Face full of scars. It was a horrifying sight. Khloe was still very conscious about
her scarred face, a permanent thorn within her heart. Hence, she wore a veil that posed as a shield to
protect her heart.
Now that her face was exposed, that shield had been destroyed. She screamed in horror and covered
her face with both hands, seemingly traumatized.
However, Frostine let out a cold huff. âKhloe Yggdrasill, remember how youâre a cripple before you
insult others. Look at your face⦠Itâs astronomically hideous. Even the ugliest person on the Earth
would barf when they look at you. Yet you still run about Starborn City without a care in the world. Are
you trying to disgust people on purpose?â
Khloe was so mad that she could feel her organs burning from within, so mad she almost vomited a
mouthful of blood.
âI just think youâre quite a powerful figure within the city, you know? So thereâs no way youâd be into a
crippled man! You can find any man you want with what you have to offer. Even the star disciples in
Plenilune Sect would be more than enough to pick from!â Khloe tried her best to calm herself down.
It was too insulting that she was being compared to a crippled nobody.
Frostine chuckled. âStar disciples of Plenilune Sect? Have you misunderstood something about my little
brother? Those punks donât even deserve to polish my little brotherâs shoes.â
Khloe rolled her eyes, speechless.
Still kneeling on the ground, Shawn was practically fuming as he stared at Alex. âFrostine Usoro, why
did you bring us here? What do you want from us? Iâd rather die than be insulted like this. So kill me
now if you have what it takes!â
Alex spoke up. âI was the one who wanted you here. Didnât you try to capture me yesterday? Thatâs
why I wanted to see who exactly the head of the Yggdrasill family was. But well, letâs just say Iâm a little
disappointed!â
Shawn was further triggered. âDisappointed? What are you even disappointed in?â
Alex glanced at his knees a few times. âYouâre quite old, yet you have no backbone.â
Shawn continued to glare at Alex as if he wanted to skin him alive.
âWhat makes you think you can say that?â yelled Khloe. âYouâre a useless man wh*âre who just
managed to hook up with Frostine Usoro! If you have seine backbone, then stop relying on women and
stand up! Fight me fair and square!â
âIâve completely lost interest in you!â Alex suddenly yanked the blanket off of his knees. Initially, that
blanket had covered both of his legs. With this, everyone was able to see that both his legs were fine.
He got off of his wheelchair, still holding onto his daughter. âSister, I heard that the head of your family
used to spend lots to buy a limit-breaking pill, right? The Yggdrasills took one of mine yesterday, and
they havenât paid up. So help me collect this debt! Iâm tired and Iâd like to rest upstairs.â
Everyone widened their eyes as they watched him walk up the stairs.
Dory rubbed her eyes, thinking that she was hallucinating. âWhy does he have both legs now?â
âWhere did those legs come from?â

Frostineâs eyes lit up, and she waved to him before turning to Shawn. âWe Usoros used to trade half of
our wealth for a limit breaking pill. So it wouldnât be too much if I took half of yours, right?â
âHey, you! Send Mister and Miss Yggdrasill home!â
âOh, and remember to collect half their fortune! Remember, just half! We wonât take any more or any
less. We arenât that greedy.â
With his eyes automatically rolling out the back, Shawn felt as if he was going to blackout.
The head of the Usoro family was only willing to trade half his wealth for a limit-breaking pill because
he was going to die soon. Hence, he really needed that pill in order to save himself.
Meanwhile, Shawn didnât need it at all, let alone trade half his wealth for something useless to him.
