Chapter 2178: Chapter 2182

The Pinnacle of LifeWords: 4501

Alex was frightened to the point he almost wet himself.

He had just teleported out of the Dead Zone, and he didn’t expect to open his eyes to see a gigantic

demon beast, which had its jaws opened and claws extended toward him. It was imposing and

threatening, and there was a fierce glint in its eyes as though it could take away one’s soul.

It was a giant dragon. Its gigantic body took up the entire ancient space. Its length was maybe

thousands of meters, and just its eyeball was already bigger than a villa.

Swoosh!

Alex was instantly flung away before landing a hundred meters away from where he first stood.

Then, he realized that the giant dragon was coiled in the spot, motionless. It looked as though it had

been long dead.

It was only then did Alex let out a sigh of relief. He reached out a hand to poke the surface of the giant

dragon’s body, and it felt as hard as a stone. It had been petrified but was coiled up in the spot, and it

looked very much alive.

Alex carefully surveyed his surroundings.

He found that it looked like some kind of enormous cave, and there were rocks everywhere. There

were also countless signs of a fight, with sword marks several feet deep visible everywhere. There

were also damaged buildings around him.

“What is this place?”

“Why did great Genbu’s teleportation portal lead here?”

Alex walked around slowly, checking out the area. He subsequently discovered that not only was there

a petrified dragon, there were also many demon beasts in the same state, as well as humans. They all

looked alive but had definitely lost their lives and had turned into rocks.

“There was a great tragic battle here. These people and demons don’t look like they have turned into

fossils after dying for many years, but… It looked like they were attacked by something that petrified

them and turned them into rocks.”

“Looking at these humans, they didn’t lead a simple life for sure while they were still alive.”

A shudder ran through Alex’s heart.

The one possibility that he could imagine was that this place was once a battlefield in ancient times.

One where the Undying Clan and humans were powerhouses and the demon tribes from all the realms

in the world fought to the death and ended up here, leaving behind the many corpses.

Ordinary corpses wouldn’t have been able to withstand the passage of time, and they would have

returned to dust in the earth. But some had been struck by this petrification curse and had turned into

rocks and thus remained here forever.

“Huh, a divine sword!”

Alex’s eyes lit up when he caught sight of a golden sword, and he hurried over to grab it. As a result,

just as his hand touched the hilt, the sword fell apart and turned into dust as though it had been made

of flour.

“My gosh!”

“Even a divine sword has turned into dust. How many years have passed in this place?”

“Even if it was from ancient times, or the time when the Undying Clan invaded in the beginning, it’s only

been a mere ten thousand years. A divine sword can’t possibly not last as long as that, right?”

“Unless…”

He took a few more steps forward. He caught sight of another weapon, a lance.

When he went to pick it up, it instantly turned into a pile of dust like the sword he had tried to pick up

previously.

Then, he saw a storage ring. Which ended up the same.

This was too much! Too terrifying! When exactly did this battlefield happen?

Or, could it be that this place had been attacked by the laws of time?

Dust, petrified, dust, petrified… There was nothing left.

“D*mn, this is just too sad…”

“I have entered a mountain filled with treasures but left with nothing.”

Alex explored the cave a few times, but he didn’t find a single valuable thing. He was a little annoyed,

and finally, at one of the stone walls, he found a hidden boundary door.

Just as he was about to walk through it, he stumbled upon some text carved into the stone wall.

“The Left-wing Union led the battle against the undead throne army, dueled in this Windsun Cave. A

fierce battle that lasted three months and three days, the undead army was all wiped out. But there are

also only a few left in my Union, but the undead throne army has immortal souls, and I’m afraid they will

be resurrected once more and bring chaos to the human realm. So I will cover the Windsun Cave with

Ten Thousand Space-Time Stream. One day, in the world, there will be a thousand here, and in time, it

will obliterate their souls.”
