âH-Holy Saints?â
Alexâs eyes trembled. Why did the name sound so familiar?
Didnât that mean that particular Japanese anime was adapted from actual events? Could the author of
those anime actually know Athena?
But after he thought about it, he determined it impossible.
The Athena that stood in front of him⦠Who knew how many years she had been in the Infernal
Realm?
However, right nowâ¦
The bronze door was still tightly closed, and the puppet immortals led by Phaseless couldnât break
through the defense of the door. There was no one inside Sunset Shrine, so what was the point of
Athena asking them to charge?
Alex and Neela glanced at each other and suspected that this new Athena was still being influenced by
her original deity body and that perhaps her slightly fragmented memories were stuck in her old body.
âNeela, are those real wings?â
âThereâs some real texture to it. Itâs not pure gold, right? Gold is very expensive now, and I heard its
price has gone up to record highs. We have two gold wings. If we were to cut it and sell it by the pound,
we would be able to get a good price.â
Neela also looked at Alexâs wings. âMy Lord, these wings tickle a little, and theyâre strange. They seem
to resonate with my body somehow, and it feels amazing. Selling these wings by the pound is just a
waste.â
Bam!
Athenaâs massive shield fell to the ground. She was at a loss for words. These two⦠Were the ones
that wouldnât hold up in the face of battle?
If that was the case, then it would be a huge cause for concern.
However⦠The battle song had already been sung. The radiant glory had descended onto the earth.
Once they stepped out, it would be impossible to turn back.
âCharge!â
âThe True God awakens!â
She picked up her large shield, and her three meter tall golden scepter transformed into an
incomparably sharp lance. Her body was covered in golden armor, and she stepped forward, charging
in the direction of the bronze door.
When she was halfway through the area, the bronze door pushed open on its own.
The puppet immortals under Phaselessâ command rushed in viciously. Not every one of these puppets
was handsome and beautiful. A large portion of them looked like they had been made of other
materials. Some were made of stone, some covered in fire, and some ook the form of demonic beasts.
âSovereign of Sanctuary, Spear of Divine Battle!â Athena rushed into the circle of battle, unleashing her
full firepower.
In an instant, heads were sent rolling.
Alex and Neelaâs jaws almost dropped to the ground from shock after seeing just a few seconds of the
battle.
Athena was just too strong.
As expected from the goddess of war from the Greeks. As Athena fought on in, a feverish feeling
coursed through Alex and Neelaâs bodies. Athenaâs insatiable lust for battle seemed to be affecting
them.
In the next second, Alex grabbed the Reflective Eye and made seven mirror images of himself before
plunging into the battle.
Roar!
Neela was Alexâs maid and contracted pet, so it was only natural that she needed to stay close to him.
Athena spared a glance towards them, especially at Alexâs mysterious mirror image technique, before
finally feeling a pang of relief. She was just a single commanding officer, and even if her true body was
awakened, she wouldnât have been able to hold back the attacks of so many puppets by herself.
âSacred Battle Hymn, will of the Gods!â
Bam! Bam! Bam!
âKill them all!â
Alex found that with Athenaâs blessing, his own combat power had multiplied by a few times. And even
without using the Ten- Point Forbidden Spell, he could still easily beat the puppet immortals that he was
fighting.
Courage, passion, protection. These feelings all rushed into his mind with a burst. It was as though he
was being brainwashed.
Resonating with Athena.
It was a strange feeling, but it was very real. It was difficult to put in words to explain, but it was as if his
body was being controlled, each thought and every single cell in his body.
Fight, fight, fight!
