âTheela, activate the formation flags! This is going to be an easy harvest!â
âWe can interrogate them after weâve captured them,â a male trialist shouted out.
âAlright!â The female trialist who set up the formation immediately tried communicating with it. She
wanted to change the positions of the flags.
However, Alex used his divine consciousness and tangled the Chaos roots around the flags. He could
make them his by wiping away the soul imprints on them.
âAhhh!â The woman screamed. She froze, realizing that she had lost contact with her own flags.
Someone asked, âTheela, whatâs with you? Canât you be a little quicker?â
Theela replied. âI⦠I canât sense my flags anymore.â
âWhat?!â
Just then, all twenty four formation flags popped out of the ground, floating in mid-air. Fluttering in the
wind, they radiated with a bright light.
Theela was overjoyed. âMy flags appeared!â
Alex spoke up indifferently. âNo, theyâre mine!â
This time, he spoke in Novian to them.
âHuh?â
âYou can speak our language? Are you not natives? Could you be from Galaxy Nova too?â
âItâs possible that heâs someone from the previous rounds, and he mightâve stolen someoneâs
chanceâ¦â
The trialists froze, making assumptions amongst themselves.
In just a few moments, someone yelled at everyone. âStop guessing blindly. Have you all forgotten that
those punks back in Purple Cloud Academy have mentioned that the daughter of the Huffman family
has been killed by them?â
âAs a Huffman, she must have brought along a communication scripture. If they obtained that, it would
be normal for them to have learned our language.â
That person then turned to look at Alex. âAm I right about that, huh?â
Alex nodded. âBingo!â
Theela, however, only cared about her flags. That was because these flags were worth a lot, and they
were vital to her. She couldnât afford to lose them, so she used all her mental power this time, hoping to
take the flags back.
To her demise, the flags didnât respond to her powers one bit. It was as if they were no longer hers.
âYou⦠What did you do to my flags?â Theela shouted, seemingly panicked.
âI said⦠This is mine! Donât you dare try to steal it!â Alex couldnât stress enough, visibly annoyed.
Enraged, Theela turned to the person next to her. âBrother, capture him now and help me get my flags
back! If I lost them, grandpa would kill me!â
That brother of hers immediately signaled to his group. âAttack!â
Suddenly, the twenty four formation flags were activated once again, forced into the ground at the
speed of lightning. However, the positions were completely different from before.
Whoosh!
Rays of light shot into the air as the flags brimm ed with an aura a hundredfold stronger. It was as if
every one of those formation flags had turned into ancient spiritual gods, looming over the entire
formation.
All the trialists were trapped within the formation.
âAhhh, what is that?â
âWhatâs happening? Where did these damn things come from?â
The people inside were screaming as their voices trembled with absolute fear.
Alex replied. âThis is the correct way to use the twenty four formation flags. You people have been
limiting its potential. Thatâs why you donât deserve to own such a treasure.â
Lunafreya and the others were utterly shocked as well.
âThis guy is also a master of formations?â
âLune, donât you admire these people the most? This must be fate! Come one now, show him your big
Lunas, conquer his heart!â
Lunefreya was extremely mad and embarrassed. She wished she could tear her best friendâs mouth off
of her face.
On the other hand, Alex decided to ignore the trialists and dragged Lunafreya aside. âYou said you
knew something about my companion. Then tell me, what does she look like? If you were trying to trick
me, Iâd be sure to make you into a piece of mooncake!â
