Albert immediately looked inside. He had inherited this treasure after Genbuâs death, a shell that had
strong defense powers that could be useful during emergencies.

was fully used up, it would be nothing but scrap. This was why Albert rarely used it.

âLetâs go down. Me first,â Xerxes said. He was so anxious that his eyes had turned red, and it seemed
his feelings for Jade were strong. He went forth and hit the tunnel entrance with the boat, ready to enter
by force.
âWait!â Luna stopped him. âUncle, thereâre traps in this tunnel. If you try to use force, itâll attack back.
Iâve escaped from here once, so let me lead the way. You guys can follow from behind.â
Albert grabbed her and shook his head. He had a feeling that the tunnel was like a tigerâs den, with
danger lurking at every corner. If they went on, they would most likely be at risk.

âItâs fine, Iâm familiar with this place. I know where to go⦠Donât worry!â Luna said to Albert with a grin.
She knew how worried he was.

âI can do a test. Weâll know if thereâre any problems after.â Albert didnât let go, but instead, pulled her
behind him and requested the others to back hundreds of meters away from the tunnel.

Claudia disapproved of Albertâs choice and thought that he was overreacting. It was her assumptions
on his powers, thinking he wasnât strong enough.

âThis youngster didnât come from a famous, powerful clan, so even if he had some unusual
experiences, his powers must still be limited.â
She cleared her voice and said, âStop scaring yourselves. Thereâs nothing in that tunnel, what dangers
could there be? Stop wasting time being such a wuss. Iâll go firstâ
She then jumped into the tunnel without hesitation.
âWhatâs wrong with you?â Albert was speechless, but he couldnât just stand there and do nothing.

Just when Claudia reached the top of the tunnel, Albert felt unusually eerie. At the same time, Claudia
too sensed that something was wrong. There was concentrated energy underneath, leaking out.
Deadly energy then surrounded her, and her skin tensed from the fear.

She screamed and immediately tried to escape, but the energy of the tunnel seemed to be some kind
of gravitational force, trapping her in place.
âIâm screwed!â Claudia thought.
Right then, a large seal appeared from the side and landed heavily behind her.
Boom!
A blast of energy exploded.
Claudia felt like she had been hit by a car at high speed. Sent flying into the air, she spewed blood
before she crashed into a huge tree, trapping her indefinitely. Fortunately, the eerie energy in the tunnel
could no longer track her after that.
She turned her head back in agony and saw something in Albertâs hand that looked like a brick. That
very thing enlarged in a second and sent her flying into the tree, vomiting blood.

âSheâll have to thank me for doing that! â Albert said as he kept the Heaven Flipping Seal away.

Claudia struggled to get out from the tree. She was in a bad state, with blood dripping out the corners
of her mouth. As expected, she looked toward Albert and thanked him regardless of being attacked.

Albert grinned at her. âYou owe me your life.â

Claudia became speechless. âI owe him now? Just like that?â
Despite that, she couldnât deny that he did indeed save her life.
The others were still in the dark, so Claudia said, âSomethingâs weird about that tunnel. Itâs very
dangerous. I was almost sucked in by some sort of force.â
Xerxes opened his mouth to speak, but he couldnât. âTo think that I thought of barging in just nowâ¦â
Albert took out two paper dolls and dropped two drops of blood on them. With a snap of his fingers, the
two paper dolls immediately turned into humans. Not only did they look like they had flesh and blood,
but they were also somewhat good-looking as well.

After that, both of the dolls sprinted toward the tunnel.
