Josef looked at the place the sword had vanished and muttered to himself. Eagerness could be seen in
his eyes. It was a precious treasure everyone would love. Unfortunately, it was too difficult to attain.

Josef took a few deep breaths and regained his calm. He then glared at the tribulation clouds, unafraid.

âAwh. This lightning tribulation is too weak!â
âI was wondering what sort of havoc itâd cause, but it didnât even leave a single bruise on me. How
disappointing!â
Within the Cleansing Vase, Shelley and Ancestor Bodhi looked at one another, speechless. They had
seen what had happened outside.
Josef was nearly killed by the two intruders before. Yet heâd taken the chance and used the tribulation
to solve his problem.

âHeâs so annoying!â
Ancestor Bodhi asked, âBut what just happened? Why canât the lightning tribulation harm him? I know
that heâd trained some lightning attributes, but so did many others. I have never seen them so
powerful.â
âIt probably has something to do with the Blue Demonic Lotus!â
âThe Blue Demonic Lotus can protect him from the lightning tribulation?â
âIâm not sure either. By the way, that lady on the immortal-slaying sword seemed weird. Would she
cause trouble?â Shelly was worried for a moment but quickly let it go. âForget it; if sheâs an enemy, weâll
just kill her.â
Outside, the lightning tribulation gradually became fiercer, seemingly mad at Josef. However, Josef
remained unscathed. The attacks were absorbed by his mind palace into the soil where the nine lotus
seeds rested. A few streaks of lightning still flashed above ground as if it was trying its best.

The lightning tribulation dispersed, having no way to get to a creep like Josef.

He ignored the weaklings, but there had been five intruders who snuck in with a disguise. They were
experts of Heavenly Deity, hence they mustâve brought some valuables.
Indeed, their belongings satisfied Josef. Each of their storage rings was extremely huge. Inside them
were countless resources for cultivation. Other than different pills and elixirs, there were many other
ingredients for smelting.

realized at least ten thousand of them. âDamn, could he be running a flagpole wholesale business?
What does he need that many for?â

He looked through the ring more thoroughly and found an ancient book at the side.
It seemed to be made of some kind of leather and was slightly damaged. The patterns were special like
it was a sky full of stars. As he continued staring at it, the stars even seemed to be spinning⦠The
back was filled with script, symbols, and drawings.
âCould this be some sort of formation?â
âThere are up to ten thousand poles. Could they be formation flags?â
Josef was shocked. He wondered what sort of formation needed so many flags.
