It was the voice of a woman.
âWho is it?â Adrian turned around immediately, but he saw nobody around him.
Adrian
Alex
Albert was the only one within this boundary. However, he was certain that someone was actually
behind him, talking. According to how the voice sounded, it was a young lady with a raspy voice. It
even sounded rather familiar⦠Albert had most likely heard it somewhere in the past.
Albert
He
Albert
He
âCould I have been hallucinating?â
Adrian walked around, even using his divine eye to search his surroundings. Even then, he didnât
notice any other person around this place. Just as he was about to open up the boundary to leave, he
felt a warm tickle at the back of his neck⦠It felt like someone was standing right behind him, blowing
on his neck. It was a bone-chilling sensation.
Adrian
Alex
âWhoâs there?â
âCome out, right now.â
âWhy are you hiding? Are you that sloppy?â
Just then, the person spoke once again, still behind him. âHmph! I wondered how powerful you had to
be to substitute the seedâs status. It turns out you couldnât even find me, even when I was standing in
front of you just now. How disappointing.â
A shadow appeared in front of Adrian and slowly turned into a woman.
Adrian
Alex
âThe goddess?!â Adrian was shocked.
Adrian
Alex
The woman in front of him looked just like the statue within the Yukon Palace, the only difference being
size, as she was currently the size of an average human. However, the goddess did indeed look the
part. Even though the statue itself was already quite beautiful and realistic, her real self was more
perfect⦠Even calling her a beauty would be an insult.
The womanâs beauty, however, was not the main attraction. It was her elegance. Her expression was
cold and distant, but that didnât matter at all. She still looked ethereal regardless of her attitude.
Adrian looked towards the palace out of instinct, wondering if the statue had actually come out here.

Alex
The woman scanned Adrian briefly. âIâm starting to regret my decision. People like you are
everywhere.â
Adrian
Alex
Adrian was enraged. âGo find someone just like me then! If you can, Iâll call you mommy!â
Adrian
Alex
âAre you trying to harass me?â the woman huffed coldly.
Adrian tightened his lips. âWhy would anyone want to? Youâre obviously not human. You just gave
yourself a pretty little face! Itâs just like the tons of people using filters on their live streams, but theyâre
just a bunch of ugly hags in reality. They conned men into thinking that they are beauties!â
Adrian
Alex
The woman glared at him with furrowed eyebrows. âAre you saying Iâm ugly?â
âNo, when did I ever say that? Donât put words in my mouth. I wasnât even talking about you. If you
really look like how you are now, then youâre definitely not ugly. But well⦠Your current state is just too
odd to determine that.â
âYouâre not human, nor are you a spirit. You can change your looks by will too. Who knows what you
actually look like? Uhm⦠Are you getting angry? Donât tell me, youâre actually ugh⦠Not that pretty?
Itâs okay. I donât judge people by their looks. I wouldnât say youâre ugly even if you really are. I have
basic manners, you know?â
The woman felt like she was going mad. No one would be happy to hear such words, after all.
âHold on!â Adrian suddenly remembered the main issue here. âDid you just say that you let go of
Underwood and his eight servants? Why did you do that? Didnât you say youâd let us compete on our
own?â
Adrian
Alex
âYou said it was up to destiny to decide who could become the seed! Yet, now, you, the judge, are
helping one of the competitors cheat! I already trapped him, and that would be the end of the
competition!â
The womanâs expressions had turned as dark as charcoal.
