Whitey quickly climbed up the tower as if it were walking on land. Its claws were able to grab hold of
the cracks within the walls, pouncing up with the two of them on its back. It brought the skeleton cats to
fight off the skeleton troops in the back. Each and every one of them was ferocious, fighting while
hissing and shrieking loudly.
Josef held onto Whiteyâs armor with one hand while looking towards the city gates. He noticed Jade,
who had turned into a golden giant, swinging her large Martello Celia about, killing every Undead in her
way. She had become the strongest unit on their team, leading the others in the battle.

Their eyes met with each other despite the far distance, as if their hearts were linked as one. Jade
nodded at him gently, then continued killing off the enemies.
The Undead in this city were indeed strong, mainly because the scepter was placed at the tallest tower,
affecting the entire area. As long as the Undead were within this area, their attack power would
increase tremendously, and they would become harder to kill. Even if they managed to kill them, they
would revive again. Hence, the humans were having an extremely difficult time in this battle, along with
increasing numbers of deaths.
Josef saw Dorothy, Esmeralda, and Daya in the crowd, giving their all.

âWhitey, faster, faster!â

Whitey was already quite fast yet continued to speed up.
The tower was thousands of meters tall, so it would be very hard for humans to climb up with their bare
hands, especially in this environment. If Whitey hadnât shown up, Josef didnât know how long it
wouldâve taken to get up there.

Finally, they were just ten meters away from the top.

Whitey hopped onto the top platform as they noticed the White Bone Scepter placed inside. It was just
stuck into a rock base and was around two meters long, radiating a dim light.
âItâs the White Bone Scepter!â Phoenix seemed somewhat excited. âIt seems that youâre right, this was
how the Undeads were made. As long as we take it away, we will be able to resolve all the dangers
that the Undead would bring upon us.â
After that, she felt rather melancholic. âWe humans have been defending ourselves for tens of
thousands of years. There were so many deaths, and we tried thinking of so many ways, yet it was to
no avail. All this suffering because the ancient Divine Monarch White Bone lost a scepter. No one
would ever believe us if we ever told them this story!â
Josef replied. âSometimes things are just that simple, I suppose.â

Just then, higher-pitched meows could be heard from the bottom of the tower, paired with Jadeâs loud
shouting.
Phoenix immediately spoke up. âRichard, quickly, handle the scepter. Iâll go check on them!â

She then rushed to the very side of the tower, realizing that many Undeads were trying their hardest to
get to them. They seemed to have sensed that the scepter was in danger, that Josef and his group had
gone up there. Knowing that he might cause irreversible damage to them, the Undead immediately
gave up fighting Jade and the others, rushing over here right away.

Countless Undeads started climbing their way up the tower. Some climbed along the bone walls, while
others stacked onto each other like sandcastles, piling up.
The humans immediately rushed over, killing off as many Undeads as possible. However, it didnât seem
enough to stop them.
Watching as more Undeads head up, the people noticed that they had reached half of the tower. In
another two minutes, they would be able to get the platform they were on.
Phoenix was starting to panic, rushing over to urge Milos.

Josef knew how urgent it was, of course. Hence, he immediately tried contacting the Divine Monarch
White Bone, who was still in the Pantheon Tomb at the time, with special methods. Yet he needed to
rely on the monarch himself to control the White Bone Scepter. Fortunately, he reached the monarch
very quickly, hence transferring energy to handle the scepter.
