Well, I don’t blame them. Today was the delivery day after all. I wonder if this is how most delivery guys felt when they knock on doors of very eager recipients.

First, the obscene amount of sweets and treats for Ninril-sama.

“I’ve been waiting so long~~ Cakes and dorayaki~ Ahhh, this goddess can’t live without sweets and desserts from other world anymore~~”

“Out of curiosity, what are you going to do once I die?” I mused out loud. I mean, Demiurgos-sama has extended my lifespan, but surely Gods and Goddesses lived longer than 1500 years? I get to live this long on a (small) Blessing, so it made sense that you guys would live much, much longer lives, right?”

“Phunuuu~~ what a dilemma, even though this goddess cracks her beautiful head over this horrible problem, nothing comes to mind. Well~ since there’s nothing I can do about it now, I shall think on it later!”

The sound of running footsteps fading into the distance was something I’m starting to become a little too familiar with.

“What a deplorable goddess,” I muttered. “Kishar-sama is next.”

As the box of assort ST-III products disappeared in a flash of light, I heard her say, “I can’t live without this anymore, what should I do…”

“Hey, didn’t you get these last month?” I asked.

I think she’s stocking up. You know, in case I die or something I guess. I must commend her obsessive behaviour, it was just too similar to my sister’s.

“Agni-sama’s beer party is next,” I said as I set out cartons of beer on the table. The usual stuff, Premiums, Y-bis, and Company S’s black label beer, along with assorted items from the ‘Recommendation’ list.

I think I vibed with Agni-sama more since we have similar tastes in beers. I like trying out the odd new thing now and then, but if given a choice, I stick with my favourites.

A flash of light later.

“Ou, I’ll enjoy these! Thank you~ Let’s have a drinking party tonight!”

Ah, how manly.

I believed I just shed a single tear.

Still, do practise some moderation in your drinking.

“Ruka-sama, please receive your offerings next.”

Ruka-sama’s offerings included the Limited Edition Strawberry Fair cakes as well as a variety of ice-creams from Fujiya and [Net Super]. Really, there are so many types of ice-creams available. There are same flavours of ice-creams in different brands and qualities that sometimes it qualifies as a different ‘type’ of ice-cream altogether.

Not to mention all the new Limited Edition varieties.

As the boxes of ice-creams and cakes disappeared, I heard a faint ‘Thank you’ with it.

A pair of voices roared.

“… …” Anyway, this pair of Gods have been doing their research again. This time, instead of their standard favourite ‘Best in the World’, they picked four bottles from something called the ‘Connoisseur’s List’.

Naturally, the rest of the budget was spent on low priced whisky of my choice. Anyway, I managed to collect several boxes of whiskies with just eight gold coins, so I think I did a pretty good job.

After putting the boxes of breakable bottles on the table, I put my hands together and said, “Here is your whisky order, please accept it.”

“Hoho~ I’ve been waiting~~”

After that, there were only the thumping footsteps of heavy-bodied people rushing away with their goods followed by… silence.

Well, compared to the other goddesses, it’s still rather tame. “More importantly, please allow me to apologise for not handing in the offerings in a timely manner. I am supposed to give offerings once a week, but because I was stuck in that wretched dungeon…”

As usual, I picked the saké from Tanaka’s Liquor Shop’s recommendation list. This time, focusing on tasting sets from different prefectures.

For the plum wine, I picked out 7 bottles from the ranking list.

– Plum win made with carefully selected hotspring water combined with potato sochu

– Aragoshi plum wine made with fruit pulp and a blend of different wines

– Plum wine made using natural water from the Sacred Mt Hakusan

– Plum wine made with special green plums known as green diamonds that brought out the aroma and acidity of plums

– Plum wine infused with the fruity fragrance of peaches and La France pears

– Plum wine made with plenty of ripe plum pulp, has a creamy mouthful and condensed flavour of plums

– Black tea plum wine

The final choice was for a change of pace. I thought it looked intriguing and bought one for myself too.

I piled all the wine and saké bottles onto the dining table along with the obligatory luxury canned goods liquor snacks.

“Demiurgos-sama, please accept my grateful offerings.”

“Fuoh, fuoh, fuoh, many thanks.”

Once the boxes disappeared, something inside me welled up and I had to grab hold of every bit of manners and etiquette inside me and said through a grimace, “One other thing, I heard that you awarded Fer and Grandpa Gon with something called the Philosopher’s Stone?”

“The Philosopher’s Stone, indeed. Why about the stone?”

“Oh! Nothing much! It’s just, it’s too much! Just… too much! Over the top! What am I supposed to do with it?!”

I had taken it out once in the middle of the night just to stare at it and [Appraisal] has some details on how to use it. Well, rough guidelines at least. Apparently, one is supposed to ‘pour mana into the Philosopher’s Stone’, the amount of mana will determine whether the ore changes into Mithril, Orichalcum or Hihi’irokane.

What a load of… if such a thing was released to the world, chaos would befall! Chaos!!

“Oh my~~ I just thought you would put it to good use. I’m sure you will find it useful.”

“No, no, no, absolutely not. I refuse to use it at all. It’s scary!! Take it back!”

“Now, now, there’s no harm in keeping it with you. I’m sure you’ll find a use for it one day.”
