He walked back the trail that past him walked through that night. Rethinking each demon he's ever killed and slaughtered by the act of his own hands.
Should I have really killed them? Am I the one who's wrong in this situation? He kept thinking- questioning himself every step he took. He almost didn't wanna go back to the guild to get his reward. He felt guilty.
Guilty that he's getting rewards and gifts for killing another individual with no hint of remorse or sympathy. He really is a monster. There's no doubt of that.
He kicked some peddles while he walked. Not wanting to stress more about it, he just began to sing a song. A song that his mother use to sing to him whenever he had nightmares or whenever he got scared because of the roaring thunder outside of their home.
He started to hum, not remembering the lyrics much but recalling the tune of the song. It was probably a lullaby, often sung to little ones. He felt a bit better, a bit calmer but that thought never left his mind but more so lingered.
-Ã-
He went back to the guild covered in the dried blood from the demon. He didn't bother nor even had motivation to clean his shirt by the near river alongside his purple jacket. He'll just do it at the guild or ask Mysta to do it. He was a demon slayer so it wasn't suspicious that he was bloody and messy.
"Shoto!- What the fuck, dude." Mysta 'greeted' his friend before doing a full-stop and looking at the poofy eyed slayer with stinky ass bloody clothes. "What did that demon do to you, holy shit!" He exclaimed, lightly shoving Shoto to the laundry room.
"Nothing, nothing.. She just kinda- Mindfucked me, I guess?" He said, taking off his shirt to throw it in the washing machine.
"Mindfucked?? -I know she's a voice demon but I didn't expect she was that strong.. Are you okay? Is this your blood, Sho?" He asked, every word just started and ended with more and more worry. Like a mother seeing her child hurt and bruised, Shoto was like a brother to Mysta.
"Yeah.. I'm okay, she just said things that made me think about some decisions I've made and stuff! -Nothing to worry about." He reassured the detective, patting a hand to the fox's shoulder with a genuine smile but still had a lingering sadness.
Looking at Shoto's shirtless body, he doesn't seem like he was injured in any way, shape or form. Maybe the blood was from the demon? But Sho usually doesn't really let the blood of his enemies stain his beloved clothes.
Mysta just silently nodded before stepping out of the room, eyes still forrowed with desperation for Shoto to tell more context or just a genuine worried look.
"I'll be fine. I'll get washed off, m'kay?" The slayer said, as if he could read Mysta's mind and tell them his worries with no further question nor effort. He shoo'ed the detective away, making the scene more light-hearted with each whine Mysta did.
Finally, the boy left and Shoto made his way to the bathroom. Seeing clothes already laid on his bed, neatly folded and presented. He knew this was his friend Uki, as if the little card ontop of the outfit wasn't obvious enough.
"Me and Fufu-chan hope you're okay, Sho! Here's some clothes when you're home :)
- Love by yours truly, Uki !"
He didn't remember telling Uki about his mission on the voice demon but I guess it was obvious by how on edge he was and that he kept a more farther distance between him and his guildies in this particular day.
He smiled, now he didn't need to waste time picking a perfect outfit because his loveable gay friend already helped him with that task.
Violeta always loved fashion and wouldn't hesitate to genuinely insult you with the most calmest voice about your fashion sense.
He remembered how he would always point out that Shoto only wears purple and that even HE didn't wear it everyday. Ironic, isn't it? His name is literally Violeta yet he has more variety of colors than Shoto.
He laughed it off at first until he kept getting glances from Uki. And it wasn't those typical cute run-in-the-mill glances- NO, It was death threat stare level glances.
He can feel Uki's judgement which finally broke him to ask the other purple boy to help him with his excessive lavender color scheme for a wardrobe.
And it worked- Shoto found out that more dark-ish neutral colors fitted him better. It defined his purple locks of hair and his indigo eyes, of course he could still add SMALL accessories of lavender and violet if he wanted to.
He thanked the gods and Uki for that discovery, now he looks fabolous wherever he goes.
He picked up the folded clothes and began to make his approach to his bathroom.
Turning on the warm shower water as a bit of steam bubbled up and fogged the windows and mirrors. Shoto took a breathy sigh, closing his eyes from the pleasure of the sudden temperature.
A hum was let out, he started to clean himself. Rinsing the bubbly soap from his wet hair and falling down in the drain.
After it all, he just stood there. Why? He doesn't know. Maybe he's comtemplating everything he stood for. Or maybe, he just needed a break from the world. Just him and himself, alone with the only thing making sound was the rushing water going through his hair and body.
He stayed like that for a good couple of minutes before drying himself and putting on the outfit Uki made him.
The soft weighless fabric made Shoto's heart flutter with delight as the dark brown long pants were plastered on his legs. A gold chain wrapping around his waist and a white button up was put on alongside an off the shoulder black jacket.
Finally, purple shoes with a dark purple bandana on his neck. The lush lavender colors tied everything together! He's definitely gonna make Uki and Fulgur a thank you gift.
He went out of his room, only to notice that all of his guildies were gone. He had a lot so it was surprising not seeing atleast one person. But no, it was empty and quiet. Something Shoto didn't know if he enjoyed.
Maybe he should go out, nothing wrong can happen right?
