Estelle POV

I can feel the leaves crunch under my feet, and I can see the wilderness as it blurs by me as my legs take me further. I suddenly stop, only to catch a breath. I can feel my face a rose red as I was heated. I'm used to James talking about me behind my back, he was my bully I I knew he'd never stop, but my mom. I sit down against a large oak tree, and take in nature's gorgeous sight hoping it'll calm the rage I feel inside.

"Here you are." A familiar voice says. I look lazily to my left and see Aaron and try to smile. "I went over to your house and James said you stormed out, what happened?"

He sits next to me, a arm around my shoulder as I leaned into his chest. "I know Tom is my mom's mate that he loves her unconditionally because he's bound to by a bond but I don't think he loves my mom like my dad did. Then James he's always popping up in unwanted scenarios." I grunt.

He put his lips on my forehead. "Its alright. How about you spend a night over my house, tonight." Aaron suggested.

"I would, but Taylor's spending the night tonight, sorry."

"Its alright, I can stop by... again."

I looked up at him and my eyes immediately landed on his pink lips. I kiss them and he kissed me back. But with the pleasuring sensation left on my lips after his parted, I can't help but get lost his beautiful green eyes and fall in love with him all over again. "Why can't you be my mate?" I whisper.

"Because I'm not good enough for you. Because the Goddess has a way better person for you." He smiles halfheartedly, "and everyone can agree you're too good for me."

"Who could possibly be better than you?" I ask full of curiosity, because I don't see myself with anyone else. He's a goof but I love that about him and he treats me better than anyone I've ever met, and would give his life for someone as bleak as me. But he shrugs his shoulders, because just like me he's clueless. "Who ever mate ends up being, she's going to be the luckiest girl in the world." I sigh disappointedly.

"Maybe, but she's not here at least not yet." Aaron birthday was last month and he still hadn't found his mate. Not everyone finds their mate soon after, and we aren't in any rush, but who knows what he's actually thinking."

We sat by the each other for a couple hours. Listening to nature as it speaks through the wind and birds.. it wasn't soon after that she sang us to sleep.

"Wake up." I opened my eyes at the sound of Aarons voice, soft and gentle so he wasn't sure to alert me. "Let's get you home."

We walked and in the dark, sleep still eating heavy on my shoulder because subconsciously I don't want to go home, so yea, I slept walk a couple times.

Upon our arrival at humble o dome, Aaron knocked on the door after I begged him not to. Of course of all people to answer the door, it was Tom. "Estelle, where have you been?" I can tell he was actually worried about me, but the color back his face when he realized I was with Aaron.

"No where." I tell him, forgetting to hold back the annoyance in my voice. I won't take blame, I'm still tired and my eyelids feel like anvils and it's a workout trying to keep them open.

"We fell asleep in the forest, sir, it was my fault." I elbow Aaron's stomach, lightly though, just enough for him to know it wasn't a accident. He takes the blame for everything, when we're together, he knows I won't get in trouble either way but he still doesn't. This man is just amazing.

"Why would you be out in this type of weather?" I feel like he's had the information he's needs, but is about to start a game of a million and one questions. I simply grab Aarons hand and pulled him inside, so escape the storm that's a brewing.

"Ask my mom and James." I smile faintly, because I would have never left if they weren't talking about me.

I open the door and Taylor was asleep in my bed. I completely forgot she was coming over. I didn't wake her, but laid beside her as Aaron laid at the foot of the bed.

My best friends and me, I want nothing to change.

James POV

"I think you should leave, momentarily." My dad says.

"Leave?" I ask.

"Think about it James. You're twenty and in three months you're turning twenty-one, and you haven't even found your mate."

"I'm pretty sure if the Goddess wanted me to have my mate, she'd bring her to me or me to her."

"Maybe that's why I'm telling you to leave... well when we get back. Chelsy and I are not going to be here for Estelles birthday. She already knows but I want you to stay here and watch over her, make sure she doesn't over do it and make her happy on her birthday."

I chugged the rest of my water. "Ok." I say.

"Chelsy and I will be gone for three weeks, and we're leaving tomorrow."

"Okay. Go, have fun do whatever pleases you both."

I was going to go tell Estelle, but once I reached the front of her door, laughter filled the room and I knew if I was to walk through that door or even knock she'd be put in a terrible mood with no good reason.

You know what, tomorrow is sister and brother day. She's going to spend the day with me and she's going to like it. I don't care if she storms away, I will lift her over my shoulder and put her I'm the trunk if I have to. I just hope I don't forget.

Estelle POV

"So your parents are leaving?" Taylor asks.

"Mother, and I'm going to have the whole house to my self." I look at Aaron and he has a suggesting smirk on his face.

I try to hold back my smile, but my pinking cheeks give me away. "You guys are gross." Taylor faked gag.

"Oh hush pup. How about you actually accept Nathons boyfriend request and hang out with him all the time." Aaron suggests. I give a low growl.

"I hate Nathon. He's a disappointment to werewolf kind."

Taylor pointed at me as in, I'm right phase. "Bingo."

"Lets get something to eat. I'm starving." I groan, holding my stomach, although I'm being over dramatic, but storage unit is getting smaller by the second and I could eat.

We all got up and as soon as I open the door, James stood there ready to knock. I snap my fingers at him. "Did you want something?" I ask.

"Uh, Ya. Mom and dad wants me to stay here why they're gone and ... ya." I can tell by how he was talking that he knew I wasn't going to like the news so he wasn't sure how to deliver it.

"It's my mom, and your dad, and. What the hell, I'm sixteen fixing to be seventeen. I don't need a twelve year old babysitter." I take a deep breath trying to calm myself but he just shrugs. "Mom!" I yelled.

Taylor waved to him and I ended up finding her in the living room. "What the hell was going through your head when you thought it'll be a good idea for me to have a babysitter!" I yelled.

I don't usually act this way especially when we have company this is just embarrassing and humiliating and makes no sense at all. "Estelle!" Tom yelled.

I rolled my eyes. "What, Tom!?" I yell back, my moms growl almost threatening.

"Can you two go upstairs?" My mom asks Aaron and Taylor.

"Why!? They're werewolves they'd be able to hear you anyways, unlike somebody." I look at Tom and back at my pissed off mother.

She was furious, and by intensity and in familiarity in her eyes... now I think all these years she been going easy on me. "Estelle! I'm so sick of your spoiled bullshit!" My mom never swears, I think after all of these years of pushing buttons, I finally pushed the wrong one. "You take advantage of my kindness and how lenient I've been! You never say thank you, you never say I love you! I'm your mother, Estelle! Got damnit you make that hardest job in the world! You will respect me. You will respect James. And you will respect Tom! Obviously I've been too nice but when I return, there will be a different me, and you will not be the same brat of a daughter you are, when I return. Am I clear!?" She yelled, I never sensed such a dangerous vibe from my mother before.

"Yea. Loud and clear."
