I thought the fall would burry me whole,
Break every piece,
Shatter my soul.
But endings whisper what we can't seeâ
Not all destruction is tragedy.
Because when the dust began to fade,
I found myself inside the shade.
Not lost,
Not gone,
Not torn apart,
But standing stronger,
With a brand-new heart.
Author's Note
The fall was never meant to destroy me. It was meant to set me free. And as I rise from the ruins, I realize--I was never meant to stay where I was.
