Your eyes were storms,
Wild and unrelenting,
Pulling me into the chaos,
I swore I could tame.
You kissed me like a secret,
Too heavy to carry alone.
And I loved you like a fool,
Unaware that every spark
Was burning me whole.

There is something about the way they looked at meâlike I was both their refuge and their undoing. I wanted to hold their chaos, to calm the storm, but I didn't see how it would destroy me in the process.
Passion has a way of blinding us, doesn't it?
