“Pfft~!! I thought you were going to say you’d cook for Xiaowan every day,” teased Xia Shiyu, covering her mouth with her hand to suppress her laughter.

Lin Xiaowan pouted, showing her dissatisfaction with Su Lin’s response.

Su Lin laughed and said, “Cook every day? Obviously, that’s not possible. I can cook occasionally. If Xiaowan really becomes picky, I’ll just hire chefs from all over the country to cook for her.”

Lin Xiaowan’s face lit up with a smile at his words. “That sounds more like it. Hehe, but I was just saying. I like all kinds of delicious food.”

Su Lin affectionately ruffled her hair. “To be precise, you like sweets, right? But you should eat less of them. Too many sweets can lead to diabetes.”

Xia Shiyu observed the interaction between Su Lin and Lin Xiaowan. Thinking about their upcoming trip to Donghai while she had to stay behind for the store openings, her mood dampened.

Xia Shiyu forced a smile and asked, “Su Lin, when are you and Xiaowan leaving for Donghai?”

“The day after tomorrow,” Su Lin said. “Xiaowan isn’t feeling well, so we decided to rest for another day. It’s also a good opportunity to check our exam results.”

“You don’t need to worry about your results. You both will surely do well.”

Su Lin nodded. “I’m not worried about that. My concern is the admissions offices from various universities. They can be quite persistent and intrusive, and I don’t want them to disturb our lives.”

“I’ll be fine going to Donghai. But Xiaoyu, you might have to deal with them more often here.”

Xia Shiyu replied with a smile, “My grades aren’t the best, so they won’t waste much time on me. If they do bother me, I’ll just hide in the company. It’s perfect timing since Chen Yang mentioned that we could open this month.”

Su Lin agreed, “Anyway, we’re not going to Tsinghua or Peking University, no matter what they say.”

“Hehe, we’re going to Donghai University, I know,” Lin Xiaowan added with a giggle.

She then looked at Su Lin, puzzled. “Why are you so against Tsinghua and Peking University? They are the top two universities in the country, attended by the best students from each province. They won’t miss one student.”

Su Lin smiled lightly. “I can’t help it. Their students tend to study abroad, and I need stability for my upcoming ventures. Do you understand?”

Lin Xiaowan nodded, grasping his point. “It’s a national issue that can’t be changed easily.”

While getting dressed, Lin Xiaowan replied, “Of course, to check our exam results. Aren’t you curious about yours?”

“I expect around 740 points. Do I need to be that concerned?” Su Lin shrugged.

Lin Xiaowan was speechless. “I don’t even know what to say about your brain. Over 740 is just insane. You’re not human.”

Su Lin playfully pinned her against the headboard: “What did you just say, Xiaowan? I didn’t hear you clearly.”

Faced with Su Lin’s menacing look, Lin Xiaowan nervously swallowed and said, “I… I said you’re handsome, have a great body, smart, and especially gentle to me. So cool.”

Lin Xiaowan was shocked, “Why so many?”

“Just read a few. Most are from university admissions offices, trying to recruit us,” Su Lin said lightly.

Lin Xiaowan casually browsed through a few messages, which were indeed from admissions offices of universities like Peking, Tsinghua, Finance University, Renmin University, and more.

“Su Lin, I scored 728. What about you?”

Su Lin casually opened a message and chuckled, “747. The top science student in Jiangnan!”

Lin Xiaowan saw the score of 747 and Jiangnan’s top science student on his phone. “Aren’t you happy?”

Su Lin remained calm. “I guessed it would be this result. Why be surprised? As for you, Xiaowan, you’re complacent with just a few points. Learn from me, the art of staying unflustered and keeping a straight face.”

“I don’t know about staying unflustered, but you are quite ‘colorful’,” Lin Xiaowan said, her face turning red as she thought of Su Lin’s various naughty ideas.

“Xiaowan, are you thinking of something unhealthy? Why is your face so red?” Su Lin teased.

“You’re the unhealthy one. Your thoughts are the most unhealthy!”

As they bantered, Su Lin’s phone rang. It was from Wang Yi, their teacher.

“Wang Teacher~! Why aren’t you sleeping at this hour?” Su Lin said, looking at the dim morning light outside.

“Sleep? How can I sleep when you’re so carefree? I haven’t slept all night,” Wang Yi replied gruffly.

“Uh… Teacher Wang, I suggest exercising more if you have insomnia.”

“Exercise my foot! Hurry up and come to school. The principal and the headteacher are here. We need to discuss your university and major choices. Bring Xia Shiyu and Lin Xiaowan too. I know you can contact them.”

Su Lin quickly said, “Teacher Wang, haven’t we already filled out our preferences? We’re all going to Donghai University.”

“You’re driving me crazy! With your scores, you should be aiming for Tsinghua or Peking, not Donghai University.”

“Teacher Wang, didn’t you graduate from Dongfang University? Are you looking down on Donghai University?” Su Lin raised an eyebrow.
