Carlos walked into the studio. "Hey Julie, y/n, remember those orbs in dad's pictures?" He said.
"Orbs?" I asked, they must've discussed that before I came down. "Oh yeah, when dad came out here to take photos nothing and nobody was out here, but when he was editing the photos for the site, there were three orbs that turned up in all the photos in the garage." Carlos explained.
"Orbs huh?" I asked looking towards Julie, "Well what about them?"
"I... I think they're ghosts." He told us. "But don't worry. This room is.. is.. This room is clean. I'm not getting the ghost tinglies."
"Wrong again, little dude." Reggie laughed, looking at the guys.
"Have no fear, if the come back, I'll protect you, because I am the man of the house."
"Isn't dad the man of the house?" Me and Julie asked, looking at each other and smiling. "Well.. dad needs all the help he he can get right?" I asked Julie and she just smiled. Carlos just glossed over what I said and pulled out a salt shaker, "According to the internet, salt burns their soles out. A little sprinkle will keep them from ever coming in here." I started to panic and looked up at Reggie signalling for him to move. Carlos started sprinkling the salt around the floor and he tossed his hand back, sending a wave of salt over to Alex. "NO!" Alex started to bow to his knees in pain, "Oh! Oh God, I'm... I'm fine. Totally fine." He stood upright once again.
"Oh! Carlos, you know who's hungry? Julie! Why don't you salt her a path to the kitchen?" I guided Carlos out of the door and turned back to the guys. Alex sighed.
"Let's try this again. There's some Sunset Curve songs I want to show you guys." Luke smiled.
"Ooh! Show us now." Julie sat at her piano and I walked over to her with my guitar as we waited for Luke to get the songs.
"Yeah okay," Luke turned around to his songbook, "'Home is where my horse is?' Reggie, stop putting your country songs in my journal."
"That was a gift." Reffie frowned. "Yeah Luke, you should be grateful for Reggie's genius." I laughed. "I'm not going to like this little alliance am I?" Luke pointed between us. "Nope." We smiled at each other.
"I dogeared the ones I think we would rock." He handed the book to Julie.
"Who's Emily?" Julie asked, a smirk wiping her face. "That- that one's not dogeared" Luke stuttered, coming closer.
"If you could only know, I'd never let you go. Wow Luke, I didn't know you were such a romantic."
"He's not." Alex started, "That one's actually about-" He was cut off by Luke. "No one. Uh, that's just something I tried, and..." He trailed off. "But if you go to the next dogeared page, I got a tune that's just.. It's got a killer beat."
"So you wanna sample?" Julie asked. "What do you mean sample?" Luke looked confused.
"Sample someone else's music." I told him. "Me, Jules and our mom used to sing that song at the top of our lungs all the time" I smiled. "It's a classic Trevor Wilson song." Julie finished.
"Nope. It's a classic our song" Luke leant forward and took back the book. "Pure Sunset Curve" Reggie agreed. "I've never even heard of Trevor Wilson."
"Yeah, maybe you're mixing it up, you know, with another song." Alex added.
"We don't mix up songs." I leant on Julie's shoulder, smiling down on her. "Trust me. Me, Julie and his daughter used to be best friends. I mean I still am but that's not the point. We used to hang out over there all the time, we know that song, okay?" I laughed.
"Okay.." Alex wasn't convinced. There was no way the song wasn't Trevor's.
"Here. I'll prove it." Julie spun round in her chair, grabbing her laptop and placing it on her keyboard. She opened up her browser and brought up a page of Trevor. His songs, family, his whole life. There was no way you could prove her wrong. "His first album had a bunch of hits but none of his latest stuff is as good."
The guys looked surprised. Alex hit his fist off of Reggie's chest and leant in for a closer look. Luke's jaw dropped, "That's Bobby!"
"Seriously, I just told you his name was Trevor."
The guys still had astonished looks on their faces. If this was really their former band mate, then he had taken credit for their life's work. "G- great. Then he changed it alright? But that's definitely Bobby, he was our rhythm guitarist." Alex started to lean back. Stuttering as he spoke.
Julie scoffed, "Trevor Wilson was in your band?". "Julie!" I whispered, hitting her lightly on the back, "Remember when you said to be nice?" She just rolled her eyes and turned back to the guys. "I can't get over how old he looks!" Reggie had a disgusted look on his face. I had to hold my laugh in because I didn't want to ruin the moment. "Ugh. He looks like a substitute teacher." Alex shook his head as I burst out laughing. Quickly realising and slapping my hand over my mouth as I looked back at Julie and the guys. "Sorry.."
"Julie.. y/n.. What were his other hits?" Luke looked concerned.
"Get lost." Julie looked at Luke. He bowed his head, "Yeah, I wrote that."
"Long Weekend?" I asked. "Yeah, Luke wrote that one too." Reggie's voice sounded like it was breaking. Their friend had betrayed them.
"Crooked teeth?" Julie asked one more time. "And that. It was about Reggie." Alex replied.
"What? I thought it was about you!" Reggie yelled. He looked back at me with a heartbroken face. "I don't like that song anymore." He walked off as I tried not to chuckle.
The guys looked so upset. I've never seen them like this. How could he have done that? Taken their songs and called them his own. No mercy. "Wait.. this is freaking me out. Trevor's songs are kinda big to us, he's the one who introduced us to rock." Julie was shocked. "Yeah." Alex sighed, "Luke introduced you to rock." I looked over at Luke. He was firing darts towards the board.
"So this whole time. I thought you were connected to our mom. But instead you're connected to Carrie's dad?" I walked over to Reggie and sat next to him. "Out of all people it had to be the one girl who had it out for me." Julie added on. "Julie.." I looked up at her.
"We'll add it to our list of questions." Alex sat in front of his drum set.
"Whenever me and Carrie hang out, even now. He has not once mentioned you guys, and we have always talked about our music."
"That's unbelievable!" Luke threw another dart, "He can take all the credit and he doesn't even mention us?!"
"And he's rich." Julie looked down. "He has his own helicopter.." I finished. "Luke screamed and kept throwing darts full force. Alex came to his feet, "He has- He has a helicopter?". "With his face on it." Julie rolled her eyes.
"And he parks it in front of that hotel?" Reggie signalled to the mansion behind the helicopter on the photo. "No, he gets to park it in front of his mansion." "MANSION!?"
"Dude, we live in a garage!" Alex turned to Luke. "It's not about the money, it's about the music!"
"It is a little bit about the money though!" Reggie yelled. "A little bit about the money" Alex and Reggie turned to face Luke once again. "He could've shared it with our families! Maybe then my parents wouldn't have had their house turned into a bike shack!"
"A bike shack?" I looked at Reggie and sighed. "What he did is still our legacy." I can't believe Trevor did this. He was so kind and giving. How could he do this? "Where does he live?" Luke turned towards me. "Erm.. above the beach in Malibu" Luke hit Alex with his shoulder and grabbed his jacket. "Let's go teach him a lesson." Alex had a stern look on his face. "Wait- what? Guys!" Me and Julie yelled after them. "We have to rehearse for the dance this is our first gig!" They didn't listen and poofed out. I managed to grab Reggie's shoulder, poofing outside of Trevor's house with them.
"Guys! What are you doing!?"
"Y/n?! How did you get here so fast?!" Reggie turned to see me. I gave him a look and touched his shoulder again. "Remember?" He nodded.
"Fine, you're here too. You can come and help us find our way around the house." Luke poofed into the sitting room and signalled the others inside. Reggie held his hand out to poof me in but I shook my head. I think I'm gonna walk. Still not used to the whole teleportation thing." I smiled.
"Okay.. but.." He took off the necklace carrying the lock and key. "Maybe if you put this on you won't be seen." He looked at me. "Okay.. thanks" I smiled back. "Go.. I'll catch up." He poofed to the guys and I pulled out my phone as I walked over.
~PHONE CALL~
"Hey Carrie! How are you? You in the house right now?"
"Oh hi y/n! Yeah, Nick's over. Just watching a movie why?"
"Oh I was just going to ask if you wanted to go out but if you're busy it's fine."
"Okay, we'll have to do something another time, okay?"
"Yeah, byyee"
I hung up. Time to see if this necklace thing works. I saw the guys in the house and I saw Carrie behind them. I was ready, I tried walking through the glass door, confident that the necklace would work. My reality suddenly came back as I headbutted the door, catching the attention of Carrie. "Oww.."
"Y/n?? What are you doing out there?" She asked as she slid open the door, "We do have a front door you know?"
"Oh.. yeah of course I do just... I- I happened to be round back so I thought I would come and hang with you guys! What we watching?" I walked past Carrie and went to sit next to Nick.
"Oh hey y/n. I thought I heard you on the phone."
"Yup! Thought I would come join movie night.. well movie day..." I said looking out of the window.
"Okay then.." Carrie sat down too, "We didn't plan on seeing you y/n but since I have never seen it before and I know you love it, how about Harry Potter?" Nick turned to me.
"Oh my god!" I yelled, hearing Luke talk about 'My name is Luke'. How did I not know this before?! Then I realized Nick and Carrie were staring at me. "Em.. I would love to! Yeah!" I sat back on the couch, hearing Reggie laughing at me, I glared over to him.
Suddenly, Trevor walked in. "Hey, Carrie. I'm gonna meditate!"
"I'm in the den!" Carrie yelled back. "Hey, Mr Wilson!" I yelled too. "Hey y/n, nice to see you!" he yelled, going upstairs. See me? Okay..
I heard Luke say, "It's time for his past to haunt him" I knew something bad was about to happen. "Erm.. Carrie? I'm gonna go use the bathroom. I'll be back."
"Okay" She smiled. I took my chance and snuck upstairs to the guys, that's when I heard Julie and Flynn come in. Oh no. I saw the guys sneak into the meditation room of the house and I snuck in after them. I hid behind the door and peered in. "Guys!" I whispered but the didn't hear me. I had to wait outside until the poofed out again.
"y/n! Perfect! Sorry the necklace didn't work but... We tricked Bobby so well! We're gonna hold the door closed and block him in!" A smile spread across Reggie's face.
"No! Come on guys, let's just go." They didn't listen as Alex put all of his weight on the door. I rolled my eyes and just stood back, forgetting that I can still be seen. Trevor or Bobby... I don't know anymore! Burst through the door as Reggie quickly grabbed my hand so I wasn't seen. I looked up at him and smiled as I mouthed the words 'thank you'. I looked towards the other and they were smiling and nudging each other as the pointed at us. I rolled my eyes at them because I didn't know if I could still be heard.
Bobby then ran down the stairs and out the door. "What do you think you're doing guys!?" I yelled as I stepped away from Reggie.
"We had to get revenge. He stole our life purpose!" Luke walked closer.
"And I get that! But we don't want him finding out about you guys!"
"Would it be so bad if he did?" Alex asked. "I- I don't know, but we don't know what he could do and which way he could turn. He could give you credit, or he could claim he knows you and everything could go downhill, okay? I care about him, he is almost like my second dad and I don't want him to get hurt. Now I know he hurt you, but our music is the most important thing right now. And that is what matters." The guys looked up to me with a forgiving look but didn't say anything. "Now I have to go back to Carrie, but Julie is here so I need you to talk to her and go home. Okay? I'll see you later." I walked back downstairs and sat down again.
"Oh hey Flynn, you joining us?" I asked, throwing myself down and masking how annoyed and worried I was.
"No- I mean, she was just leaving." Carrie butted in before Flynn could answer.
"Yeah, I think it is time for me to run. Bye!" She ran out the door so fast and I watched the rest of the movie.

So this is another long chapter, I had to do some research and watching of this episode so I could get quotes and the sequence of the scenes so it would fit. Sorry there was no chapter yesterday, I had a bit of writer's block so I just had a rest day, but I'm back now and I hope that this long chapter makes up for it :)
