Or maybe use my foot?
But which foot? Left or right?
She pondered deeply, seemingly lost in serious contemplation.
Nian Yiâan, having finished organizing his notes, looked up to see Yuejian alternately staring at her hands and feet, a mischievous smile playing on her lips.
He shuddered involuntarily. âSister Yueyue, youâ¦â
Though he hadnât fully figured out Yuejianâs nature despite being trained by her, he had learned some patterns.
Whenever she wore that expression, someone was bound to suffer.
âOh, right.â Yuejianâs gaze locked onto Nian Yiâan, her smile widening. âHow could I forget about you? Great, youâre up.â
Nian Yiâan was baffled.
Huh? What?
âCome on, Dumbo, weâve got work to do.â Yuejian patted his shoulder. âPractical experience is the best test of training. Thereâs a Class-A and a Class-B evolved being tailing your mom and aunt. Go, take them down.â
Nian Yiâanâs expression hardened instantly, a hint of killing intent in his voice. âIâm on it!â
With the rigorous training from In Yaonian, Yuejian, and Si Fuqing, he knew the ruthless nature of evolved beings.
It was kill or be killed; there could be no hesitation.
âGood, youâre getting the hang of it.â Yuejian snapped her fingers. âDonât worry, they havenât made a move yet. We can still make it.â
Nian Yiâan packed up his papers and slung his backpack over his shoulder. âSister Yueyue, Iâll take you there.â
âVery well,â Yuejian said, satisfied. âA thousand days of nurturing a child, using them in a moment.â
They quickly left the bar, the young bartender emerging to clear the glasses.
As he placed a glass on the tray, a large hand suddenly slammed onto the bar counter.
âBang!â
The bartender staggered back, bumping into the bottle rack. âSirâ¦â
Huo Yanxingâs gaze swept over the bartenderâs waist, his voice low and menacing, âThe woman who was sitting here, where is she?â
The bartender swallowed hard, his voice trembling. âI-I donât know.â
Huo Yanxing cast a cold glance at him before leaving abruptly.

Meanwhile, in the city center.
Ye Zhenmian and Ye Junci walked out of a building, Shang Lu carrying several shopping bags without complaint, following behind.
âJunci,â Ye Zhenmian hesitated, âAre you doing well in the Ye family? If not, you can move out and stay with us.â
Ye Junci was silent for a moment before sighing. âI canât leave the Ye family now. I need to reclaim whatâs rightfully our parentsâ.â
âThatâs not an issue,â Ye Zhenmian nodded. âQingqing can handle it.â
âMiss Si?â Ye Junzi was taken aback. âSheââ
Before she could finish his sentence, a sudden explosive sound echoed through the air, accompanied by a powerful fluctuation of energy characteristic of evolved beings.
Ye Junci was startled, immediately shielding Ye Zhenmian and assuming a defensive stance.
But before she could assess the situation, two shadows fell from the sky, pinned down by a winged youth.
The youthâs wings were sharp, poised to slice their throats with a mere inchâs movement.
Ye Zhenmian was stunned. âYi-Yiâan?â
âMom, Auntie,â Nian Yiâan said casually, not even breaking a sweat as he subdued the two evolved beings. âAre you both okay?â
Ye Junci gasped, her voice trembling. âYouâre a Class-S evolved being?!â
She recognized the two subdued evolved beings as the enemies of her and Ye Zhenmianâs parents.
The Class-A evolved being was particularly challenging for her, but Nian Yiâan had handled him effortlessly.
If he wasnât a Class-S, then what was he?
âNo, Auntie, Iâm not.â Nian Yiâan said modestly. âDad says Iâm just Super Class-A, the weakest in our family.â
Ye Junciâs vision darkened, her voice shaking uncontrollably. âWeakest?!â
A super Class-A evolved being was rarer than a Class-S.
It as because super Class-A possessed comparable abilities but with slightly less pure bloodlines.
How was that the weakest?
Then what was the Class-A evolved being Ye Yichuan, whom the Ye family had cultivated?
Ye Junciâs mind was reeling.
Not just her, even the two evolved beings pinned down by Nian Yiâanâs wings were stunned, their minds going blank.
They hadnât even made a move, yet theyâd been discovered and subdued?!
And how could a small place like An City hide a super Class-A evolved being?
How did the Supernatural Management Bureau allow this?
âNot bad, not bad.â Yuejian clapped, stepping out. âFirst real battle, Iâll give you a seven. The remaining three points are because the opponents were too weak to be a real challenge.â
Ye Junciâs voice completely failed her. âToo⦠weak?!â
She swayed, her mind buzzing with shock.
Ye Zhenmian quickly supported her. âSister, relax. Actually, this is nothing.â
Ye Junci: ââ¦â
She couldnât relax; she was even more tense.
âSister Yueyue, what should we do with these two?â Nian Yiâan asked. âTheyâre evolved beings from the Western Continent. Should we send them to the Supernatural Management Bureau?â
Before Yuejian could reply, a voice interrupted, âMiss Yue, you are hard to find.â
A tall, imposing figure appeared in the alley, his hawk-like eyes locking onto Yuejian.
Nian Yiâanâs spine stiffened instantly when he saw the man that suddenly appeared.
Since his evolved bloodline awakened, he rarely felt pressured by anyone.@@novelbin@@
This man was definitely not weaker than super Class-A!
He might even be a powerful offensive evolved being!
Yuejian looked at him, puzzled. âWho are you?â
Huo Yanxing took a deep breath, enunciating each word. âHuo Yanxing.â
âOh, itâs you, officer. We have such a fate,â Yuejian said, finally realizing. âMy younger sister asked me to look after her family. And now we ran into some evolved beings bullying ordinary people.â
âDoes Zero deal with evolved beings? If not, we could send them to the Evolved Being Alliance for some bounty.â
Huo Yanxing frowned. âWe do.â
âThank you, officer.â Yuejian clasped her hands together. âSince youâre taking over, we can leave. See you around, officer.â
Huo Yanxing, frustrated but unable to vent at Yue Jian, turned his gaze to Nian Yiâan.
Nian Yiâan raised his hands. âI havenât even graduated high school yet!â
The pressure lessened slightly.
Huo Yanxing walked over, grabbing the two evolved beings by the throat. âA new phone number.â
Yuejian handed over one of her many numbers casually.
Huo Yanxing memorized it before leaving.
As he departed, Nian Yiâan breathed a sigh of relief and called Si Fuqing. âSister Qingqing, help.â
âWhatâs wrong?â Si Fuqingâs lazy voice came through the phone. âDidnât you pass Sister Yueyueâs test?â
âNo,â Nian Yiâan said weakly. âSister Yueyue got involved into her romantic debt and now someoneâs looking for her.â
After listening to his account, Si Fuqing coughed lightly. âYouâve had a hard time.â
Her third senior sister was indeed a troublemaker.
Meanwhile, Yu Xihengâs phone buzzed.
[Huo Yanxing]: She forgot me again.
Yu Xihengâs eyes twinkled.
[Yu Xiheng]: Youâve had a hard time.
[Huo Yanxing]: The future is long.
Yu Xiheng, raising his eyebrow higher, sent a considerate âGood luck.â
He put down his phone and turned to meet the girlâs direct gaze.
Yu Xiheng paused, his deep eyes warm. âWhatâs wrong?â
Si Fuqing propped her chin up. âNothing, just admiring your looks.â
The more she looked, the stronger that inexplicable sense of familiarity grew.
Yu Xiheng nodded. âThen keep looking.â
Si Fuqing: ââ¦â
She realized her big sponsor was becoming more shameless.
âIâm going for a walk,â she said, standing up. âYou keep busy.â
Yu Xiheng nodded. âLet Xi Jiang accompany you.â
Si Fuqing nodded, wrapping a scarf around her neck as she stepped outside.
âMiss Si.â Xi Jiang approached. âThe North State border is just ahead. Iâll guide you.â
Si Fuqing nodded. âLetâs go.â
The further north they went, the colder it became.
âBeyond the North Desert River lies the extreme northern lands,â Xi Jiang pointed to the distant snowy mountains. âSome native tribes there still attempt to invade North State, but we repel them. Theyâre quite barbaric; itâs better to avoid them.â
Si Fuqingâs fox-like eyes narrowed slightly. âIâm afraid that wonât be possible.â
Xi Jiang was startled, his eyes widening in realization. âSomethingâs wrong. Some of our men have been captured. Miss Si, please wait while I call for the guard team.â
Border skirmishes were frequent here, with casualties unavoidable.
It was said that some of the extreme northern natives had barbarian blood, towering and living primitive lives.
âTwo more?â The leader of the natives glanced at Si Fuqing and Xi Jiang, speaking in broken Mandarin. âEnough, canât capture too many today. Weâll let you go.â
Two subordinates glared at the approaching Si Fuqing. âWhat do you want?â
Si Fuqing calmly flexed her wrists. âIf you donât want anyone to get hurt, youâd better move aside.â
