Chris narrowed his eyes, remaining silent. Clearly, he wasn’t entirely convinced by this explanation.

Suddenly, Odile said, “By the way, you should give up.”

“What?”

“You’ve been searching for her for four years and still haven’t found her. She’s right in front of you, yet you’re blind.”

Odile ended the call right after saying this, blocking the number as she did so.
