Chapter 1254:
âHarlee, do you need a break?â Belinda asked as she handed Harlee a cup of coffee.
âIâm not tired.â Harlee slowly opened her eyes, took a sip, and responded with a smile, âI think theyâre the ones who need a break more than me.â
âActually, Miss Sanderson, weâre all doing well,â everyone responded at the same time before returning their attention to their tasks.
Taking a larger gulp of coffee, Harlee asked, âHave any guests begun to arrive today?â
âQuite a few have come, not just those invited by the Green family but many others wanting to offer their congratulations. When I left the house, I noticed many prominent figures from across the country arriving,â Belinda explained, smiling. âBut most just leave their gifts and go, knowing how crowded these events can get.â
The number of guests for the Sanderson family nearly matched those of the Green family.
âAlso, your mother and I decided that you and Rhys should keep those gifts, so weâve started moving some to your new home,â Belinda said, clearly excited. She had been carefully selecting which gifts to keep, ensuring nothing unwanted was moved.
Belinda added, âThe items have been placed on the third floor. Itâs quite full. You should see it when you get a chance.â

The marriage between the Green and Sanderson families was poised to be a grand event that would be noted both nationally and internationally, far surpassing even Belindaâs own wedding in grandeur.
Harlee knew to expect a large turnout, but the sheer volume of gifts filling an entire floor was beyond her expectations. She couldnât help but ask, âAre there several hundred people?â
âMore than that,â Belinda said. âJust in the time Iâve been here, the butler has welcomed nearly thirty people.â
Noticing Belindaâs need for a rest, an attentive assistant brought over a chair. Belinda gratefully accepted it and gave the assistant a generous tip. Belinda sat down gracefully, observing Harlee being styled, and said, âBrenton mentioned that not only local magnates but also international dignitaries and politicians are attending the celebration. Theyâre all staying at Grand Oak.â
Harlee, taken aback, commented, âThatâs quite a gathering.â
She had assumed that with the disbandment of the Shadow Moon Society, these international guests might not attend, yet their participation was impressively courteous. If anything were to happen to those people, it would become an international matter.
Concerned about the implications of any incidents involving those guests, Harlee excused herself to Belinda and started messaging Patrick. âEnsure that security at Grand Oak is top-notch!â
Patrick replied, âNo worries. Everythingâs under control.â
âBetter safe than sorry. Leave no room for error,â Harlee typed, not fully convinced by the notion of a foolproof security plan.
âUnderstood!â Patrick responded and promptly began to implement additional security measures, his demeanor now far from relaxed.
When Harlee put down her phone, Skyla entered the room. Just then, the ongoing styling paused as the makeup artist and hairstylist looked at each other before the makeup artist tentatively asked, âMiss Sanderson, weâve finished styling. Would you like to stand and see the results?â
Harlee stood instinctively, but before she could even turn to the mirror, she was met with gasps of admiration.
