Chapter 604:
As Harlee rinsed the foam from his hair, her eyes flickered with anger at the thought of Lindsay.
Rhys reached up to hold her hand, his voice calm and steady.
âAlright, Iâll ask Hamilton to coordinate with him for the broadcast.â
Harlee didnât reject Rhysâ offer. She knew Hamiltonâs expertise would elevate their plan and ensure Lindsayâs downfall would be as thorough as possible.
The question of informing her godparents lingered in her mind, though. Should they know beforehand?
Noticing her hesitation, Rhys rose from the wash station and gently brushed aside a strand of hair that had fallen into her face.
âWilton and Belen are reasonable people,â he said softly.
âThey wonât blame you.â
âI kind of want to tell them about the broadcast plan firstâ¦â
Pursing her lips, Harleeâs indecision crept into her expression. She really wanted to tell her godparents, but the possibility that they might leak the information made her reconsider. Sure, there could always be another broadcast, butâ¦
Rhys appreciated her willingness to share her thoughts and began to massage the back of her neck lightly, hoping to ease her tension.
âDo what feels right.
Donât be afraid in the slightest. Whatever happens, Iâll stand with you.â
His voice carried an almost enchanting charm, and after hearing his comforting words, Harlee felt her inner turmoil begin to settle.

Her godparents had always treated her well, and she dreaded the thought of losing their affection. Yet, Clint and Tiffany were equally dear to her, and no matter what, she vowed to seek justice for them. With that, Harlee resolved to trust her instincts. Lindsay would pay the price!
Meanwhile, news of Ritchieâs efforts to collect evidence made its way to Hale and, inevitably, to Lindsay, who was tucked away in a secluded villa. Lounging on a garden swing, Lindsay basked in the moonlight, her mind far removed from the thought of facing any legal consequences. The villaâs location was so well-concealed that Harlee would first have to figure out where Lindsay was before making any moves.
Confident in her safety, Lindsay felt untouchable.
However, Lindsayâs composure shattered when she overheard a group of guards discussing Harleeâs latest plans.
âWhat? How could this be?â The villa was so hidden that even she, after countless visits, couldnât pinpoint its location within Baythorn.
How could Harlee possibly discover it? It was unthinkable!
Lindsay clenched her jaw, vowing not to end up in prison.
But then, Etta arrived. Swaggering toward Lindsay with a smirk, her haughty tone sliced through the tension.
âHale wants you in the study,â she declared, spinning on her heel without sparing another glance.
Lindsay seethed, her anger burning as she glared after Etta. That insufferable Etta! How had Etta managed to earn Haleâs favor so quickly? In just two days, Etta had somehow risen above Lindsay in status, and it made Lindsayâs blood boil. Watching Ettaâs smug retreat, Lindsayâs gaze turned icy, her thoughts dripping with malice.
Etta was nothing more than a scheming parasite who relied on seduction to get ahead.
