Chapter 64:

“Why are you two blocking the gate? Move your cars so I can see the entrance,” Skyla said impatiently, gesturing for the bodyguards to clear the driveway.

Fletcher put on a mock hurt expression, spreading his hands wide.

“Mom, Brenton and I just got here, and you’re already dismissing us. Isn’t that a bit cold?”

“Where’s our younger sister?” Brenton asked, glancing at his watch with a slight frown, as if he were pressed for time.

Lonnie had called Brenton, requesting that he drop all work to meet his estranged younger sister and allow her to run one of the family businesses to help her gain experience.

But could a business really be treated like a toy? Regardless of its size, a company comes with its own set of duties.

How could a green girl handle such responsibilities?

Lonnie was not known for making such reckless decisions, so Brenton assumed this must have been at Harlee’s urging.

Despite feeling a bit displeased about it, considering the struggles his sister had faced over the years, he chose to respect his father’s request.

Just as Skyla was about to let out a sigh, the butler announced with enthusiasm, “Mrs. Sanderson, Miss Sanderson has arrived.”

Hearing this, Brenton and Fletcher looked over.

Approaching them was a girl with a poised demeanor, her movements graceful and measured, her eyes cool and distant, giving off an air of detached sophistication.

Brenton squinted slightly.

Harlee was quite different from the fragile figure he had imagined.

“Harlee, you’re finally back!” Overcome with emotion, Skyla rushed to Harlee, tears streaming down her face as she embraced Harlee tightly, nearly causing Harlee to reflexively disable Skyla with a defensive move.

“I was held up,” Harlee said curtly. She was only slightly delayed. The dramatic reaction was unnecessary.

Harlee raised her head to meet Etta’s gaze, which carried a hint of smugness and challenge. Then, she looked at the two men next to Etta, one smiling playfully and the other exuding a daunting aura.

Her interest was piqued.

“Come, Harlee, let me introduce your elder brothers to you.”

“This is your eldest brother, Brenton, and your fifth brother, Fletcher.

Anything you need, just ask them!” Skyla exclaimed.

As a formality, Harlee greeted them, “Nice to meet you, Brenton and Fletcher.”

Fletcher’s eyes sparkled.

He was struck by her unique beauty and charisma. Realizing she was his younger sister filled him with joy.

He was eager to offer her the best the world had to offer.

“Check this out, Harlee. I’ve brought you a gift from Breezeland. Isn’t that a surprise?” With that, Fletcher hit the button to open the trunk.

Inside the trunk of the red sports car lay a display of gifts from top brands—clothes, dresses, shoes, and bags—each item worth a small fortune. Yet, faced with these prestigious logos, Harlee showed no excitement, her expression unchanged.
