Sky is really upset and I don't know what to do, honestly. I should talk to Alex first. Or should I go see Sky? I should go see Sky, right? Sky is the one who's upset right now.

It really only takes like five minutes to get to her house, but I'm lazy and it takes me five minutes to just put clothes on. It takes another two minutes to get out of the door, because I usually stop to eat. Sometimes Sky's mom makes really good food, so I pretend like I haven't eaten all day just so she'll feed me.
I step out the front door and lock it behind me.

After a moment, the door swings open revealing Sky. She looks so messed up with those puffy and red eyes.
"Go home, Daniel,"
"Not in your lonely lifetime."
"What are you doing here?"
"I wanted some of your mom's food," I shrug. "I came to cheer you up."
"By insulting me?" She rolls her eyes.
"Exactly!" I yell.
"Shut up! My parents are asleep."
"So, no food?"
"I can make you something?"
"Nah, I'm okay. I'll find something," I smile.
I close the front door and follow behind Sky into the kitchen.
"You look like shit, by the way."
"Thanks Dan, I couldn't figure that one out."
"So, are you more upset about his death or your phone?" I sit down at her table while she rummages through the fridge.
"I have serious no-phone anxiety, since my phone was my life. I miss my phone more than anything." She lets out a slight laugh. The kind of laugh she does when she's really nervous.
"I won't miss Kyle, for sure as hell." I shrug.
"I know you won't. Now nobody can get in the way of Alex and I."
"True!"
"I have cold pizza, ice cream, and oh," she opens up the cabinet, "some oreos."
"Good enough for me. Warm up the pizza."
"Fine, she huffs.

I'm so tired of people asking me about Kyle's death. It literally just happened last night, what am I supposed to think? I don't know what to say, honestly. I can't go back and change what happened. Nobody can. He's gone now and that's it.
But what hurts the most wasn't that, but the pain of all those things Sky said to me yesterday after Kyle dropped her off.
Sky: I really, really fucking hate you. Honestly, did you actually think I cared for you at all? You're just some loser who buys me shit. I can't stand the sight of you, Alex. Your face, your voice, your snotty attitude, your personality. I hate everything about you. Will ever date you or like you. You're a loser. Don't ever talk to me again asshole.

Sky: no, you fucking loser. I honestly can't stand the sight of you Alex. The world would be better off without you. I would be better off without you.

I just keep reading ad re-reading the conversation. Over and over again. I can't believe she said those things. She told the world would be better without me. Why would she say that? What did Kyle say to her? And she had the nerve to come up to me today and act like she said nothing? There is no excuse she can give for saying those things. It hurt me like hell and I can't even explain what I just felt like my chest became a hundred pounds heavier and I couldn't breathe.

I sigh and knock on the door twice. The things I do for Sky, I swear. Going to Alex's house at midnight on Friday night. His mom are home. God, she better work this out. The door slightly open and a girl poked their head out. Wait, I knew her, a freshmen in my school.
"Daniel Miller?"
"Just Dan, and who the hell are you? You're a freshmen in Avonworth, right?"
"I'm Alex's sister, Violet. And yes I'm a freshmen in your school."
"What do you want?" She asked.
"I'm here for Alex ass." She slams the door. She must be getting Alex obviously.
After a few minutes, I knock again. I think she's ignoring me. Rude.

The door opens once more and Alex rubs his eyes.
"It's midnight. Why are you here?" He yawns.
"It's about Sky. I just left her house and I decided to talk to you now instead of tomorrow."
"I don't really wanna talk about it, Dan." Alex flops on the couch.
"Why are you mad at her? She says if you're mad about her leaving with Kyle, it was only so she could tell him to stop interfering."
"That's not it, though, it would've been nice to have known that. I thought she believed him."
"Then what is it?" I take a seat across him.
"Like she doesn't know," he mutters under his breath.
"Huh?"
"The text she sent after Kyle dropped her off."
"What the hell are you talking about?" Alex pulls his phone out of his pocket and open up his messages.
"She sent these texts after Kyle dropped her off," he hands me his phone. I read them and re-read them.
"She didn't send those texts, dumbass."
"Uh, yeah she did. That's her name and her number."
"It's impossible, because she left her phone in Kyle's car. She was texting me with her mom's phone at the same time."
"Huh?"
"Sky didn't send those." I shrug.
"I don't believe you."
"You don't?"
"No," he shrugs. "You're just defending her. So, you and Sky can leave me alone."
"Excuse me?" I stand up.
"I should've never involved myself with nerds," he huffs, standing up. Oh, fuck no.
