I huff and head downstairs. When I saw my mom she slightly smile at me which make me even more curious.

I open the front door and Alex smiles briefly. "Hi Sky."
"What the hell are you doing here?" I step outside and close the door behind me.
"I came to see you," he frowns, handing me a Taco Bell bag.
"You're bribing me with Taco Bell?"
I raise my eyebrow, grabbing it. "Okay."
"It worked, though." I take a seat on the porch and Alex sits beside me.
"Why are you here, Alex?" I sigh.
"I thought you were mad at me. I mean I was a bitch, after all."
"That's what I wanted to talk about"
"Oh.."
"Yeah," he shrugs. "I'm sorry, Sky. I was just mad and I was defending Scarlett. I didn't think before I spoke and I didn't mean it."

"No, not really."
"I saw it in your eyes. You were being totally honest and I get it," I move my feet back and forth.

In an instant, Alex's lips met mine. I felt him move his hands towards my face before he moved his head away. He immediately looks down at his feet.
"What just happened?" I take a deep breath.
Alex's finger tips brush his lips before he shakes his head. "No, no. I have to go," he continues to shake his head.
"What? Why?" I ask frantically.

"I can't, Sky. I have to go," he stands up and starts jogging towards his car.

I put the key in the ignition and put the car in drive. I need to go. I don't know what to do. Do I tell Scarlett what happened? I'm so confused. I don't know what came over me. We were sitting there and everything felt right. She was so beautiful and for a minute, I really believe she loved me. I feel like shit. "Hi, Alex!" I take a seat beside Scarlett and push my food away.
"There's something I want to talk about later. Is it okay of I come over tonight?"
"Sure," she frowns. "What's wrong?"
"It's nothing important really," I shrug.
"Are you sure?"
"Yeah.."
"Okay," she smiles slightly.
"I just want you to know that I appreciate everything you've done for me, Scarlett. I know my life isn't drama-free, but I'm glad that you haven't given up on me."
"Everybody has drama in their life. I'm not here to judge you for what goes on in your life, Alex. I'm here to support you and love you unconditionally," she puts her arms around me and I sigh briefly.

I sigh and knock the door twice. I'm not looking forward to this conversation. I don't want her to cry. I don't want to see anymore hurt, but I have to tell Scarlett the truth. I have to tell her that I kissed Sky. I really hope she doesn't get mad or anything.
"Alex, hi," her dad smiles.
"Hi, is Scarlett home?"
"Yeah, sure. Let me go get her." I nod and he closes the front door. I take a seat on their chair outside. What if she gets mad? I mean, I've never seen Scarlett mad before. She was annoyed at Sky that day, but she was far from mad. What if she cries? I won't have any idea of what to do if she cries. I'll just be standing, or sitting there patting her head. I won't even know what to say. I mean, I regret kissing Sky.
I'm lying actually. I don't regret kissing her one bit. I just wouldn't have the heart to tell Scarlett about it.
"Alex," Scarlett smiles, closing the front door. "Do you want to come in or sit out here?"

"Okay," She takes a seat beside me.
"What did you want to talk about?" I fiddle with my finger a bit. "It's a beautiful night." I point at the moon.

"I just need time to thing," I sigh.
"I understand," she nods. "I think I'm going to go home," I stand up. I adjust my shirt slightly. Scarlett nods and puts her hand in her pocket.
