Bailey

I'm offended. Where on Earth did the men get the idea that I can't keep a secret? While they were explaining the proposal plan for tomorrow, they kept telling me not to tell anyone.

After every fucking sentence. I'm not sure how to feel about this.

Nonetheless, I'm very excited for them. "So," Dylan starts. "Blake gets to go get the ring, and then Bailey and I are in charge of keeping Anna away from Blake until tomorrow evening as Adrian and Blake get everything ready."

"What about Luna?" Adrian asks.

"Ever since she got discharged from the hospital, she has spent almost all day in the NICU with Theodore. Sometimes I do the same, but I have assignments and college starts again in a week, so I'm preoccupied."

"Luna is going back to college right?"

"Yeah. I bribed her," Dylan states. He better not have bribed her with money! I know Dylan things money can buy everything, but bribing his girlfriend with money is an absolute no-no. "Why are you giving me that look? Did you think I bribed her with money! No! Of course not! I bribed with an unlimited amount of romance movies."

"Yeah, because Luna is totally obsessed with movies."

"And a premium membership to Wattpad. She's obsessed with bad boy romance novels. Especially the ones with mafias and gangs. It's like she has Stockholm Syndrome. I quote her, 'I think bad boys killing people is hot,'" He rants.

"I'm surprised she hasn't fallen for Anna, Blake or Adrian yet," I chuckle. "I don't know what she sees in you," I tease.

"Please," He scoffs. "Do you see this body?" He flexes his arms, and proceeds to remove his shirt before Blake smacks him upside in the head. "You're just salty that I have a better body than you."

Blake cocks an eyebrow. "Do you want to compare?" Blake removes his shirt without a second thought and Dylan just smirks before removing his shirt.

"Jail-Bail, who's body is better?" Dylan asks, with a wink. I open my mouth to answer, but Adrian closes my eyes from next to me.

"She knows that I'm the one with the best body. Mine is fun to look at because I have tattoos. Your bodies are just... plain."

Blake scoffs, and I still can't see anything with Adrian's hand covering my eyes. I push them away, only for Adrian to pull me into a protective hug, burying my face in his chest.

"Excuse you, Mr. Possessive Boyfriend, but my body has a scar down my chest making me look more badass."

"The toxic masculinity in this room is suffocating," I groan pushing myself off of Adrian. "Dylan, you could do better on those abs and Blake, you can work on those biceps," I tell him. "Now, can we please put our shirts back on?"

Blake sighs, slipping back into his T-shirt. I look at Dylan expectantly, but he doesn't make a move to put his shirt back on. "It's hot in here."

"Well, I'm taking my shirt off again!" Blake snaps, taking his shirt off. I look at Adrian with a raised eyebrow. He was now sleeping back on the couch.

He gazes at me expressionlessly, before taking off his shirt and winking at me. I groan to myself exhaustedly. "I can't with you men. You're not even acting like men. You're acting like boys!"

"Oh come on, Jail-Bail," Dylan grins flexing his biceps. "You have to admit... You like the view."

I sigh, looking at Adrian who had temporarily closed his eyes while sleeping on the couch. Shirtless. Blake was sitting on a smaller couch, and Dylan was full on posing in the middle of the living room.

Men.

"I like Adrian's view better," I retort and I notice a egoistical smile play on Adrian's lips as he keeps his eyes closed. "But... you look very hot, Dylan." I didn't mean that, but it was worth seeing Adrian's face fall as he opens his and sits upright.

"I know. I'm hot," He winks as Adrian stands up to size-up Dylan. Dylan was 6-foot but Adrian was 6-foot 2-inch and he easily intimidated Dylan. Poor Blake who was only 5'11". Who am I kidding? I was 5'4", they're skyscrapers compared to me.

"I'm going to put my shirt back on right now," He announces. "Adrian was obviously too smitten by me," He adds with a grin. Oh, Dylan. I still can't believe that Kaden and Dylan are brothers, but I guess being raised in the mafia hardens you whilst being raised by your rich mother... spoils you.

Dylan puts his shirt back on. Blake and Adrian don't and Adrian was making me very horny right now. "All of you put your shirts on!" I yell. "Or none of you are welcome in my apartment anymore! That means no more Bailey-hugs or cookies."

Blake and Adrian quickly shuffle into their shirts, not noticing that they switched each other's. That's right. I have them wrapped around my little finger.

"Can I get a Bailey-hug now?" Blake asks. I nod and open my arms. He walks into it and hugs me tightly. Adrian is wearing a scowl on his face while Dylan is trying to do a handstand with one hand.

"Okay, that's enough hugging," Adrian announces, pulling Blake away from me. I kick Adrian's shin for that. "Ow!"

"You deserve it," I hiss.

"Look guys! I'm doing it!" Dylan shouts and we all turn to him. He was doing a handstand on one hand, and after a few seconds he falls on his back. He lets out a wheeze as he lays there for a while. "I should get a medal."

Adrian chucks a metal bottle cap at him, and it hits him on the forehead. "There's your medal."

"This is not what I wanted," He frowns. "Whatever, I'll buy a medal later," He shrugs getting off the ground and tossing the bottle cap in the trash.

"Anyway, back to talking about the proposal," I shift the subject.

I elbow Dylan. "You ask her."

"Me? She likes you better!"

"She looks like she's ready to kill the next person she sees!" I hiss. The proposal was planned for an hour after now and Dylan and I were supposed to keep Anna away from Blake before leading her to him. Of course, it would be easier if Anna didn't always look like she's going to eat you up.

"So you want to sacrifice me?!" He shouts, a little too loud. Now, Anna was looking at us with dark, broody eyes. I smile at her, but on the inside, I wanted to bury myself.

"Happy birthday, Anna!" I say, enthusiastically. "Anything special today? That was planned by you... not anyone else. We weren't planning anything at a- OW!" I shout as Dylan stomped on my foot.

"Excuse her, she's high."

I glare at him but don't say anything. "Where's Blake?" She asks, her voice reeking with anger.

"How would we know?" Dylan lies smoothly. She glares at him with her pitch black eyes lined with even darker eyeliner. Her blood red lips look like she just drank blood. Then she smiles, showing her pearly white teeth.

It looks like the smile a shark would give before eating it's dinner.

Then she laughs. For a second, I have a heart attack before I begin to laugh nervously along with her. Dylan's laugh sounds more natural and I feel jealous. He's a better actor.

"How would you know? Sometimes, I feel stupid for asking shit like that. I'm just angry."

"Why?" Dylan asks.

"I turn twenty today and my asshole of a boyfriend is not here to celebrate with me. He's not even picking up his phone! And my even more asshole of a brother isn't picking up either! Where are Blake and Adrian?!" She snarls, her words laced with a poisonous tone.

Anna always had my admiration. Everywhere she went, she had the power to make people fall at her feet. She expected to be in total control over every situation and she didn't understand compromise. She was a powerful woman, and right now, I want to piss my pants.

Maybe that's why Blake and Anna were such a perfect couple. Anna wanted control, while Blake would mold himself to perfectly match a situation. Anna would mold a situation to match her. That makes the both of them powerful.

If they get married, they'll be even more powerful.

"Nevermind where Blake and Adrian are. What matters right now is your birthday. Let's go get cake and food!" Dylan offers cheerfully.

Anna's eyes instantly brighten.

————

We have ten minutes. Ten fucking minutes because Dylan was being a Karen and started demanding for the manager because his water wasn't sparkling like he asked for.

Sometimes I really wonder how Dylan and Kaden are related. Kaden is calm and collected while Dylan over here was screaming his head off at a poor guy because he didn't get sparkling water.

I have a strong subconscious but I wouldn't mind throwing Dylan off a bridge right now.

"So, Anna, I've heard that you've always loved haunted houses?"

She nods. "It's absolutely amazing! I love the jump scares." No wonder she thinks of Adrian as her brother.

"Great! Okay, so we've got you tickets to a haunted house tour thingy, and we need to hurry!" I ramble. Luckily, it was only five minutes away. I drag her into Dylan's car as Dylan starts driving. We zoom away, and soon we're parked in front of the haunted house.

"Okay! Here! Get out and go enjoy the haunted house! We'll meet you at the end!" I push her out of the car and towards the entrance. She gives us a weird look and hands the ticket to an employee who smiles widely and greets her inside.

"Okay, Karen. Let's go to the back where Blake is."

"Don't call me Karen," He huffs as we both get out of the car and rush towards the back. The employees recognize us and let us in. I notice Luna there too. She waves at me as I go over to give her a hug.

Dylan plants a kiss on her lips and intertwines his hands with hers. "You came!" I squeal.

"Of course. I couldn't miss this!" She smiles. Her eyes looked tired, and there was a wrinkle forming between her eyebrows. Probably from frowning in her sleep so much.

We shift our gaze to Blake who is holding a blood red velvet box in his hand. He was dressed nicely, but it also matched the haunted house's themes. His suit had slight tears in it, and fake blood stains. At least I hope they were fake...

We look at the camera, where we see Anna walk through the haunted house casually.

Every now and then, she'd flinch but that's about it. She was wearing a very entertained smile on her lips, as each jump scare tried to scare her. Man, she was one brave woman.

As she began nearing the end didn't, she didn't so much as scream. I think the people trying to scare her were scared.

"Are you nervous?" I ask Blake.

"Yes," Adrian replies, as he paces around. Blake gives me a 'ignore him' look.

"I just hope this is enough," He tells me. "You never know with Anna."

"But you know she loves you. That's enough," I tell him with a smile. "You got this, Blake."

"What if she says yes, but doesn't mean it?" Adrian rambles. "Is there a specific tone that we should expect from her? WHY AREN'T ANY OF US MARRIED? OR AT LEAST ENGAGED? Where's advice when you need it?!" He panics. "What if she doesn't even say yes?"

I take hold of Adrian's hands and pull him into a deep kiss to shut him up. "Shut up," I whisper against his lips.

"She's coming!" Luna squeals, jumping up and down. Blake takes a deep breathe and gets into his position right at the end of the haunted house. Dylan begins to jump up and down too, while Adrian begins to hyperventilate, leaning against me for support.

Anna stops in front of Blake, her eyes widening.

"Um... so. Anna," Blake starts. "We've known each other for more than ten years, and we've been dating for five years. When I first met you, you had pushed a boy off the swing because he had taken your spot. You were almost four years old when I met you, and I was already in awe at your fiery. We practically grew up together, and I wouldn't have it any other way. I've spent most of my life with you and I want to spend the rest. Anna Elizabeth Rodriguez, will you marry me?"

Then I hear the loudest scream in the history of screams.

"YES!" She screams.

Adrian faints.
