"Don't move around too much, Adrian. You might faint again," Dylan teases and I snicker.
"That was months ago!" Adrian shouts, as he continues to button up his black shirt. It was March 2nd, and Kaden's party was going to start in less than two hours. I was already ready, wearing a dark blue dress that covered my body and flowed down to my feet.
Adrian chose it for me again.
"Why'd you faint?" Blake sneers, as he holds his fiancee's hand.
"I hadn't eaten since morning!"
"Bitch please, I've seen you go days without food and still have the energy to beat up kids in the parking lot. Besides, you ate an entire box of strawberries on the way, don't be so dramatic," Blake scoffs, while he kisses her jawline.
They really need to get a room.
Once Adrian finishes buttoning up his shirt, he shrugs on a black coat and then begins to insert his shirt into his pants before putting on a belt. I can't help but drool at how hot he looks.
"I was panicking, alright?" Adrian grumbles. "You've been talking about this for the past few months, give it a rest!"
I wrap my arms around Adrian's neck. I smirk at him before whispering, "Never." He rolls his eyes before kissing me on my forehead. I stand on my toes before biting his chin.
"You're crazy," He chuckles. "I love you," He kisses me again, but this time on my lips. Just then, I begin to hear loud crying.
"Teddy!" I squeal, as I rush out of Adrian's bedroom to see Luna walking in the house with the most gorgeous dress I've ever laid eyes on. She's cradling Teddy in her arms as he cries louder. She gives me a tired smile as I rush down the staircase. Luna places Teddy in my arms, and she sighs as she leans against the wall.
"That's right, Teddy. It's Aunty Bailey," I coo in a high pitched voice. Teddy stops crying to stare at me with wide eyes. He has pitch black hair and pale skin, just like Luna, but he has Dylan's eyes.
"Luna!" Dylan exclaims as he descends down the staircase. He wraps his arms around Luna, before kissing her lightly on the forehead. I take a seat on a nearby couch and start slowly cradling Teddy.
Before I know it, Adrian, Anna, Blake, Dylan and Luna are flocked around me. "I was going to drop him off with Mom and Dad," Luna explains to Dylan. "But they aren't free today. I don't know if I should bring him to the party. He had trouble breathing just this morning and luckily I could use that machine but we won't have that at the party."
"We can bring the nebulizer," Dylan tells Luna. "We can keep him in a bedroom, and take turns with him. It's okay, we can still go to Kaden's party."
"Do you want me to go pick it up?" Luna asks.
"No, I'll go. You rest," He kisses her on the lips. "You've worked really hard."
"I love you," She smiles.
"More than those wattpad boys?"
"Don't push it," She teases. Adrian lifts Teddy off my laps and holds him in from of himself.
"Who's Uncle Adrian's favorite child?" He coos and I smile at how cute Adrian's being. "Who's Atty's favorite uncle? That's right. It's Adrian." Blake scoffs cockily.
"We all know it's Uncle Blake," He declares. "Theodore knows that it's me who'll let him buy whatever he wants."
"Excuse me?" Adrian starts. "I'll be spoiling him more." Luna, Anna and I exchange looks as Adrian and Blake continue to bicker.
"Does he have a lot of hard time breathing?" I ask Luna as she shifts her gaze to Teddy.
"Yeah, he has asthma and whenever he cries he starts getting labored breathing and then cries more, which makes it worse. It's okay, we have a nebulizer that they usually use for babies with asthma. Whenever Dylan and I are in college, Mom and Dad or Dylan's mom come over to take care of him. Kaden is a horrible babysitter so we don't ask him. Or Richard Arrow," She explains.
"Kaden and Richard wouldn't be able to do it," I laugh. "Maybe Richard would, but I don't know him much, so I can't assume."
"Guys the limos are here," Anna announces.

Three rounds of security. Three! Adrian, Blake, Anna and Kaden were the only ones who were allowed a weapon. Everyone else had to leave them at the entrance. No one was allowed a phone except Luna and Dylan just in case they had an emergency with Teddy.
I was impressed at how secure Kaden was making this and everyone here was dressed pristinely. Everyone looked rich as fuck. There was expensive wine and cigarettes but no one was allowed to smoke until Teddy was safe inside a bedroom.
Because second hand smoke isn't good, especially for a baby with asthma.
I had my arm hooked with Adrian's as we watched everyone filter inside. Adrian's eyes were scanning the room as if he was looking for something specific. Kaden, Blake and Anna were doing the same thing.
Adrian's other hand is placed firmly on his gun. A few seconds later, he unhooks his arm from mine and whispers something in Kaden's ear. Kaden's eyes instantly shift to a specific place in the room. I follow his line of sight to see two of Kaden's men walking out of the party.
"Is something wrong?" I ask Adrian, who shakes his head before holding my hand again.
A while later, Richard Arrow walks over to the indoor balcony where we're standing. He's dressed in a white suit, with a black tie and white pants. His vivid, icy blue eyes scan the room before he claims the attention of everyone.
Some of the women look at him with lust shining in their eyes and I don't blame them. He's extremely hot for a forty-eight year old. His skin is still smooth with only a few wrinkles on his forehead. His body was built and his hair wasn't graying yet.
All in all, he looked like an eye candy.
"I'm not going to thank you for coming to the ball because I am giving you an opportunity to strike deals and form friendships with my son, who will be taking my place as the leader of this mafia," He speaks. Of course he's not going to thank them. "I'm also not going to talk much because I do not see the point. I'll let my son and the new leader of our mafia, Kaden Arrow talk."
Wow that was the most original speech I've ever heard.
Then Kaden steps forward. I'm sure there was someone in the ballroom who fainted. I won't deny it, Kaden looked ravishing. "Let me make this clear," He begins. "I'm not here to make friends. You are only valuable to me if I benefit from you." I glance at Richard who looks proudly at Kaden.
What can I say? Richard Arrow likes cold-hearted people. Like father, like son.
When Kaden is done talking, everyone carries on and some approach Kaden, talking overly sweet to him. Some females try to grab his attention, but fail so they move on to the next hottest person in the room.
Adrian.
I quickly plant a strong kiss on Adrian's face, leaving my lipstick imprint on it. Then I look pointedly at the girls.
I approach Kaden, after marking my territory and give him a big smile. "Congratulations!"
"Thanks, princess," He smiles back "Where's Adrian? I need to ask him something."
"Oh, he's..." I look around only to see Adrian's head peeking from behind a flock of girls. Some were way older than he was. Yuck! "Surrounded by a bunch of girls," I sigh. "I'll be right back."
I storm over to Adrian, pushing through a bunch of girls. "Hey! Watch it! Do you know who I am?" One girl shouts angrily. I glare at her, but grabbing Adrian's tie and pulling him forward to my lips.
Another girl frowns. "You're dead for sure," She sneers. "You can't just kiss Adrian Black."
Adrian lifts his gaze from me to meet another. He wraps his arms around my waist and kisses my forehead. "You can if you're the love of my life," He tells her, his voice laced with a dangerous ice. I resist the urge to sneer at them.
I turn around just to see their reactions. As I pull him away, I debate on whether or not to give them my middle finger. I don't.
"What did you want?" Adrian asks Kaden, his voice slightly irritated. I mean... at least they're not enemies anymore. It'll take them a while to be good friends again.
"I need to talk to you alone," He tells Adrian. I quietly walk away from them and towards Luna, who was with Anna and Blake.
I wave at my friends and they wave back as I make my way down the stairs. "I'm assuming Dylan is with Teddy."
"Yeah, there's no way I'm leaving my baby unsupervised," She says. "By baby, I mean Theodore, not... Dylan. Although sometimes we need to supervise his ass too."
I laugh. "Tell me about it. I had to drag a very angry Dylan from a poor manager. You're dating a Karen," I chuckle.
"That's what I tell him. Anyway... I thought you weren't allowed to have a cellphone inside, why did one of Kaden's men have a phone?" She asks.
I shrug. "Maybe they have an exception too. Don't worry about it."
"Don't tell me to calm down, Blake!" Anna growls. "Did you see what she did? I want to murder her!"
"She literally only took the last piece of chocolate, Anna calm down," Blake tries.
"It was chocolate, Blake!" Anna shouts. "That I wanted!" Instead of trying to calm her down, Blake kisses her and she instantly melts into his kiss. I immediately look away as they exchange spit.
Luna clutches her head suddenly as she frowns deeply. "Holy shit, Luna are you okay?" She begins to fumble through her purse and then brings out a bottle of pills. She swallows one dry and then blinks several times.
"Yeah. Sorry, it was another migraine," She states.
"Do you get those as of recently?" I ask her, suddenly feeling bad. Ava was a bitch, but she's affected Luna, Dylan and their child so much... I hope she's boiling in oil in hell.
"No," She replies. "I've always suffered from migraines. It's fine, I know how to handle them. I should probably go switch places with Dylan. Wanna come with?"
"No, I'll join you after Adrian and Kaden are done talking," I say. She smiles before walking away. Just as she leaves, the room goes silent. I look around to find out why, only to see Adrian and Kaden standing near the balcony.
Adrian glances at me and smiles. I smile back as Kaden begins to talk. "As you all know, Adrian Black and I have been rivals. But tonight, we've made a decision that is going to benefit the both of us. It will give us more power, and less burden to carry on our shoulders. Black's mafia and Arrow's mafia are merging into one with a shared leadership."
Whispers and comments erupt around the room before a gunshot sounds through the room and it hasn't been fired from the only people who are supposed to have a gun.
Everything erupts into chaos.
