I will always remember the flames I saw that night as I fled my home along with thousands of other people hoping to escape the fire.
The fire was first started in the marketplace of the luxurious stores and had spread to engulf the whole town.
The fire was started by a group known as the Ravens. A group of 5 teenagers who hated the world. They had grown up in an orphanage and blamed the royal family for their misfortune.
They grew up to be cunning people with many different skills which involved killing, torture, and manipulation. They were able to gain many supporters in favor of overthrowing the royal family.
Burning down one of the wealthiest towns was their way of showcasing their power.
I remembered when they first debuted in society 2 years ago. The oldest was Elijah 19 at the time, he was the master mind behind everything. Second was Theo who was 17 and quickly became one of the greatest generals in history. Arabella was 15 and became one of the leading Ladys of society along with Nesrin who was 14. Both the girls were extraordinarily beautiful and had many suitors after them. Lastly was Jude who was 14Â he later on was one of the fiercest soilders.
Looking back now I wonder how they were able to get many supporters. No one noticed what they were planning until 6 months ago when they openly threatened the royal family. Many did not take it serious until the queen was killed a month later. Now they were a force to be reckoned with.
Fleeing from home was heartbreaking and I saw other families running right along beside me. "My Lady!" Emma my maid yelled. " The boat is leaving soon we must hurry" she told me holding on to a suitcase. In one of those gatherings Arabella & Nisrin spoke about their childhood. They were all not related by blood but they grew up together in the same orphanage. They were treated quite harshly and finally escaped thanks to their own will. The Ravens were very close and not many were in their small circle. I remember thinking I wish I had adopted them as having children was my dream.
