As I made my way to the dining table
I could hear them laughing as they waited for me
These past 2 years had been the best of my life
I learned that Elijah is very responsible for his siblings and always looks out for them

Lastly, Jude loved painting
I stood just outside the dining room
How should I explain the situation
That my political husband is coming back from a war and I need to prepare a party, so I will be gone for a week most
Ughhh I have never even been away from them for a day these past 2 years
But I can't refuse
Plus I still have to talk to my "husband" about the children
Taking a deep breath I walked into the dining room
"Morning my lovely children," I said, as I walked towards the head of the table, taking a seat
"Morning" they all replied as the food started to be served
"Mom," Elijah said as he took a sip of water
" I heard you received an important letter this morning," he asked putting his cup down and looking at me
I forgot how observant Elijah was
In these past two years, he decided to become the man of the house
Making sure everything in the estate was running smoothly
" I did, but we will discuss that during dinner," I said as I picked up my teacup
" Now, children once breakfast is over your tutor will be waiting in the library. Remember to study hard and focus okay Jude" I said looking at him to the side of me
" but mom learning is boring," Jude said with his mouth full of food
" you all have to study hard and live successful lives," I said thinking back about my past life
Breakfast was soon over and the children left to meet with their tutor
Meanwhile, I had much left to do before I had to leave
" Emma please start to prepare the clothes I will be taking and have the tutor meet with me during the children's lunch break. Also, leave the letter from my husband in my office" I told her as I finished my breakfast
When I first recognized I had come back to life I thought about my past life
I decided to write down the most important events
such as when my husband came back from the war

Things that maybe I could change for the better but of course nothing was guaranteed

Now that the war is over I am officially on my way home, as such you are required to come to the main estate and work together with Lucy in preparing the banquet for my return. You will be expected to arrive a week before and leave 3 days after it ends. There will be many special guests attending this banquet, and thus it needs to be perfect.

As I expected no touch of affection, not even to ask how I have been these past couple of years
But of course, I never did send him a letter
Why send a letter to someone who does not care about me
I still remembered all the instances in which my existence meant nothing to him
When I met his mistress and he yelled at me to leave our bedroom
When after a year of trying I could not get pregnant he told me I was worthless
Or when he left for war and as soon as the banquet was over just pushed me aside to spend his night with his mistress and I left to come to my home now
But none of that mattered to me anymore
I had to leave tomorrow as the letter was delayed due to bad weather
I knew choosing not to go was not an option as appearances were very important to Henry
I had to use this event as an advantage
I needed leverage of some sort so that I could discuss my children with him
I spent the rest of the day organizing the rest of the week for the children as I would be gone for 10 days total
During the day their schedules would be the same
Their tutor would teach them the basics from 9-5 during this time they would learn history, math, science, swordsmanship for the boys and lady classes for the girls
As dinner time came along I told the chef to prepare their favorites
Soon I was told the children were waiting for me at the dinner table and I made my way down
"Hello my lovely children, how was everyone's day" I asked taking a seat
" Mine was great, I learned a new sword skill," Theo told me enthusiastically as the food began to be served
" I learned a new recipe today while working with the chef," Nesrin said talking about learning a desert
" I finished a new book about economics," Elijah told me discussing ways to invest in new companies
"I want a dog," Jude said while stuffing his mouth with food
"Me too" Arabella exclaimed as she took a sip of water
I was going to miss these dinner conversations for the next 10 days
"Children, I do need to discuss something with you all.... As I mentioned I am married for political reasons and my husband is returning home soon, not to this house but to the main estate. I need to go back for 10 days and I am leaving tomorrow, but during that time Emma will be taking care of you all" I said while Emma smiled at me knowing I trusted in her completely when it came to the children.
" Why do you have to go?" Elijah asked as he picked at his food
"I need to ...organize an event for him but ill back as soon as I can," I told him
" Will we met him?" Jude asked quietly
"No, he is a very busy person," I said remembering that Henry is more violent than busy
"Can we come with you?" Arabella asked
"No honey, I need to go alone, and besides it is an old stuffy house that is not a place fun for kids like you," I said
" I don't want you to go" Nersin said as she looked about to cry
" It's going to be alright," I said getting up from my seat and going to her
" I'll be back before you know it"I told them all as I hugged Nersin
Soon after we decided to go to bed, all children decided to sleep with me since I would be leaving early in the morning
Morning came and they all woke up to watch me leave
"Everyone behaves yourselves, ill back soon," I said as I hugged every one of them
