It took about 2 weeks until we received the adoption papers back signed
and it took the same time for my injuries to fully heal
I didn't go get my children during that time because I was afraid of how they would see me
Their mother beat up by her husband
I never want them to have any negative memories

I did not want the same history to repeat itself
Plus it gave me time to heal mentally and plan my next steps

My children didn't need to depend on money for their happiness
With them currently being far away, I did send them letters every day to make sure they were alright
But soon word came that Henry would be traveling to the outer borders

Elijah was going to be turning 13 next month and it was at that age that children debuted into society
I knew that now that Henry was away this was the perfect time
I woke up early and knew that finally I could go bring my children back home

During those 2 weeks, the children waited for their mother's letter's everyday
And they waited every night to see when she would take them back home
They always asked when they would go home, but she always replied that when the time was right
They knew that Henry had visited their mother but they didn't know the details of their conversation
They had only hoped for the best
That she would come quickly to see them, but she didn't
Living with their grandparents, for the time being, was not so bad
They got to spend more time with their cousins and learn more about what is happening in their society
Their mother tended to want to protect them from the world
Their tutor was still coming to giving them lesson's everyday
And their cousins were informing them about society's newest gossip
They all knew eventually they would need to debut and make those connections
Elijah used this time to study nonstop about what was going on in the country and who his mother's husband was
Henry's family was a renowned aristocrat who helped the first emperor form this country
Taking him down was not going to be easy
But it was not impossible
Meanwhile, Theo was excelling at swordsmanship
He was practicing every day
Hoping to one day be able to protect his mother, even for his age Theo knew that he wanted to protect his mother
Arabella was learning more skills in the makeup department and was thinking about showing everything to her mom
Arabella really missed her mother, because they would be able to gossip and talk about anything
But her mother never really talked about her marriage
Nesrin was loving being able to help the chef at her grandparent's house
She could not wait to cook for their mother

He loved being to play with her and her hugs
