The next day I had to let the King know that my mother was gone
He would discover it anyways, with the maids coming to deliver the food they would ask about her, and the doctors would also want to know where she is
I hadn't thought about what to tell him and Elijah also didn't even mention it
In the morning Lilliana came to drop off my breakfast and I went to my classes as normal
Except for this time I engaged in the class, which resulted in Lysander glaring at me almost the entire time
After class, I had to speak to the teacher, so hopefully, he could get me an audience with the king
" Teacher, may I have a moment of your time," I said, as I see Lucious quickly leave the room
" Yes, what is it your highness," He said with concern
The teacher was one of the few people who did not mistreat me
" I need a meeting with his majesty," I said
" His majesty! I can try of course but what is this about?" He asks
" Actually you can relay this message to him, my mother has disappeared and I do not know where she went... Besides, I think this is for the best" I said already thinking about the consequences I will be receiving once he finds out about this
"Her majesty is missing! This is of utmost importance, of course, I will let his majesty know now" He exclaimed hurrying up to get his things
" ... Please just inform his majesty," I said as we both left the classroom
During the week, I was informed that his majesty was sending knights to search for my mother
As if he was honestly very concerned

I can't believe how much time has passed during these past 4 years
Elijah and Theo left to go to the academy in the capital, it was a hard decision but they both wanted to go, the rest of the children will follow once they reach 14 as that's the age requirement
Of course, I am always sending them letters and care packages as they are only allowed home for holidays
They are actually coming home today because there will be a big banquet to celebrate the birthday of Lucious the 2nd prince
The 2nd prince really started to rise in his position and has many supporters throughout the kingdom
Honestly, I was surprised because this didn't happen until much later in my past life
And I do remember that prince Lucious did not have a party when he turned 16, his mother had passed away a little after his birthday but who knows where she is now
Henry did not bother us surprisingly, as many of my family would come and visit often, but I was still afraid
Along with Elijah, I was able to begin investing my money in properties and putting them for rent, plus I also invested in other businesses of course under an alias because I did not want Henry to find out
" Madam, the children have arrived from the academy," The butler said pulling me from my thoughts
" Thank you, I will be down soon," I said as I began to put away some letters and leave my study
I could already hear them laughing as I made my way to the entrance of our home
" MOM!" Elijah and Theo screamed as they ran up to me
" How are you both?" I said as I embraced them in a hug
" Were fine, the journey was not as long as before" Theo said as he took a step back from me
" I'm glad you both arrived safely, now that eats dinner. I am sure you both are hungry and I had the chef make your favorites" I said as we all made our way to the dining room
The rest of the children were already waiting for us in the dining room
After we sat down the laughter started and all my children started catching up with each other
" Mother, are we all attending the party for the 2nd Prince's birthday," Jude asked me as the desert was being brought out
"Yes, actually the trailer is coming tomorrow morning to get everyone fitting for their clothes, we do not have much time," I said taking a sip of my drink
" Do you think he will be receiving a sword from the King?" Arabella asked as she took a bite of the desert
" He probably will as it is a customary gift to get when a boy is becoming a man at 16," I said, thinking about how Elijah is soon going to be 16
" Do you think many people will actually show up?" Elijah asked, pulling from my thoughts
" It is hard to say, some will not want to endure the wrath of her Majesty but I have heard many support the 2nd Prince," I said as finished my dessert, soon everyone else finished and everyone went to their room as we were going to be waking up early in the morning
I chose to go to my office as I still had more matters to attend to, when the butler comes in soon after me
"My lady, a letter came in from the main house," He says as he gives me the letter
" Thank you, you may leave," I said, as I take a deep breathe

As you are aware the 2nd Prince's party is approaching and I was made aware you were planning on attending along with your litter of mut children. I will also be attending and I do not want your children to embarrass me or my name thus they are not allowed to attend.

I should do it tomorrow before the trailor comes
I went to bed late just thinking and when I woke up in the morning I felt like complete shit
By the time I made to the dinning room, the children were already sitting down waiting for me
"Goodmorning, my children" I said as I took my seat
"Morning Mom" They all replied as the food started to be served
" I have some news, we will not be attending the birthday party" I said, as the children began to eat
"Wait why?" They all asked confused
" My husband will be attending the event, and I do not want to see him, especially in front of everyone," I said, thinking that telling them the truth is always the right choice to tell my children but at least at this point almost the whole truth
" Mother, but this party is a big event," Elijah said, as he put his fork down on his plate
"There will be more parties, besides this is the start of the all the events in December" I said as I continued with my food
"Is it cause your afraid of him?" Theo asked, just staring at me
" I am not afraid of him, but I do want something unpleasant to happen, especially in the presence of his Majesty" I replied
"Mother at least you and I should go," Elijah said before continuing " I am in the same grade level as his highness" He finished
" Let me think about it, but everyone else will go to class meanwhile I meet with the tailor along with Elijah," I said and soon the conversation changed to December, that whole month was just many events, parties, and parades
Everyone soon finished and Elijah met with me in the office
"Mother, I am not afraid of your husband," Elijah said as soon as he came in
" You should be, he is a powerful man with many supporters," I said as I walked over to him
" I know how to behave, and I doubt he would do something in the Palace, especially with many peering eyes" Elijah replied
" Even so, he won't do anything that day but he will come and explode with anger and that's even worse," I said, thinking back to when Henry had slapped me, I didn't want to risk anything happening to my children
" I am a swordsman, I know how to defend myself, and ---
" --Elijah, but you are still a child, Henry is someone I have known for a long time and he can be -

"..... Alright, but only you and I will go. Meanwhile, your siblings will go stay with my family and we will join them there" I said as we both got up to meet with the tailor.
A week went by quickly, the children packed their clothes and I tried to prepare mentally for what was to come with Henry
