Chapter 664 âArabella, your family is so sweet, buying you all these goodies and even some for us. Myrna, let me help you carry some. Next time you donât need to bring gifts. Weâre all pals after all,â Joyce offered, grabbing a few items herself.
âMust have been a tough journey for you, huh? How about you join us in our dorm for some coffee later? Not to brag, but our dorm is pretty neat, and the coffee Bella brought last time was delicious! Youâre going to love it. If you like Bella, youâre bound to love her stuff.â
Mya chimed in, taking some of the load as well.
Kelly instantly figured out who Myrna was. What a surprise to think Chasel could snag such a topânotch girlfriend.
Her family background was beyond just âimpressive.â
âLet me help you carry some,â Kelly offered with a laugh, finding Myrna to be very sociable and easyâgoing.
Arabella also took a fair share of the items, saying, âNext time you donât have to bring anything, Joyce is right, weâre all friends here.â
âI wanted to bring something for you guys.â Myrna was pleasantly surprised by how friendly Arabella and her classmates were.
Lugging the remaining gifts in one hand and linking arms with Arabella with the other, she chattered away cheerfully.
Once they arrived at the dorm, Arabella brewed her some coffee, and the other girls brought out their snacks, pastries, and fruits.
The warm atmosphere brought tears to Myrnaâs eyes.
One by one, the girls chimed in, âHave some fruit. I recently learned how to make a fruit platter online. See how cute my Kiwi hedgehog is? Whatâs wrong? Your eyes look red.â
âThis is my favorite snack; usually, I can hardly bear to share it even when Joyce wants some, but since youâre here, Iâll share all the flavors with you. Try it and tell me what you think. Wait, why are you crying?â
âWhatâs wrong? Did my pastryâs shape make you cry? Let me take it away.â
âNo.â Myrna quickly wiped away her tears and broke into a smile. âYou guys are so nice. Iâve only felt this kind of family warmth once before in my life.â Everyoneâs curiosity was piqued at âonce before, with all of them chiming in.
âThe first time was?â
âNo need to say. It mustâve been at Bellaâs house, experiencing the family warmth there,â Kelly laughed. âYouâve all met Bellaâs family too; theyâre really nice.â
âRight, her parents are so kind, so warm, and so gentle.â
âAnd most importantly, theyâre all so goodâlooking! Try this Kiwi, itâs really sweet. I even peeled it for you.â
âYou should try my pastry.â
Touched, Myrna took the offered fruit and pastries, and after hanging out with the girls in the dorm for a while, it was time for extraâcurricular activities. âYou can rest in the dorm, Iâll come find you after the extraâcurricular activities, and then we can go out for dinner, Arabella said gently.
âNo, itâs okay, Iâd like to go with you.â
Staying alone in the dorm could be boring, and it might be nice to see if Arabella was tiring. If it was, Myrna could talk to the school about it.
While they participated in activities, Myrna sat under a nearby tree, watching them. Their extraâcurricular activities were quite simple, just marching in step and then turning left or right.
Compared to the rigorous training in the army, it was like night and day.
