"You just have to break them in." Alice told Bella as she was trying to walk with heals. Evie had to fight to not laugh as Bella almost fell. The latter playfully looked at her.

Weeks had passed. Evie had spent most of her time with Embry, her siblings and the Cullens as she helped them with all the preparation for the wedding. Alice was all excited, quite hard to handle sometimes. But you know her, Alice was Alice.

"I've been breaking them in. For three days." The soon to be Cullen said. "Can I just go barefoot?" she asked.

"No, absolutely not." Alice firmly said.

"It's not like they're gonna see her feet with that long gown anyway," Evie pointed out. Bella looked at her, thankful to see her siding with her. But Alice shot her glare which sent cold chills down Evie's spine. "Come on Bella, it can't be that difficult!" Evie changed her mind. Alice smiled victoriously as Bella sighed, defeated.

"Just thinking it's a little much, you know? The dress and the shoes, and all of this," Bella said as she looked at Jasper and Carlisle carrying benches for the wedding.

It was decided that it would happened in the Cullens backyard. It would be sometimes private with only close friends and family. The shifters were invited. It was Bella idea since she was close to Jacob and Evie. Not every shifter woulf come, Sam and the pack weren't really thrilled at the idea of coming, but Billie, Seth, Sue, and Evie were definively going. There was no way Evie would miss the wedding of both of her friends.

"No, it's exactly enough. It will be perfect," Alice argued back with a joyful smile.

"Where do you want them, boss?" They heard Emmett said. He was carrying to long tree trunk.

"On either side of the aisle," Alice said.

Evie looked at Rosalie who walked past behind Emmett carrying a fat tree stump. She looked confused for a moment which amused Evie. The latter already knew how it would end. There was indeed no aisle yet, so both Emmett and Rosalie had no idea of where to put those tree trunks.

"What aisle?" Rosalie asked.

"Does no one have vision?" Alice sighed, making Evie giggle.

"I'll show them," Evie reassured as she led the couple. Alice had told her absolutly everything about how she saw the wedding. It was as if Evie had herself the vision.

"Thank you, V," Emmett grinned. "I honestly thought Alice was going to beat us up," he joked.

"Well, you know how Alice is when it comes to love, and fashion, and weddings, and trends," Evie joked too.

"Oh! Talkingabout it," Rosalie quietly exclaimed, remembering something. She disapeared and reapeared the next second but with a red fabric in her hands. "It's for you, Evie,"

Evie frowned, confused. She took the fabric and widened her eyes, shocked, as she realised it was a dress. It looked quite expensive.

"Alice thought it would look good on you. I have to say, I agree," Rosalie chuckled.

"Rose, you didn't have to," Evie said, embarrassed for receiving such a gift.

"It's okay," the ethereal blond vampire said. "It will be a day of celebration. So you must have fun and forget your bothers,"

Evie smiled gratefully at her. The Cullens were such angels with her. They were treating her so goodly and kindly regardless of her being a shifter. They accepted her. They were friends. They were not the monsters the pack thought they were. To Evie, at last.

"I would hug you if my scent wouldn't be so bothering to you," Evie playfully said.

Rosalie chuckled but embraced Evie tightly and warmly, even though her body was as cold as ice.

"Your scent doesn't bother me as much as your peers," she truthfully said.

Rosalie grew fond of Evie. The latter was still young and experimenting things. She entered the supernatural world without wanting it, got disapointed of someone she cared for. Rosalie, in some ways, saw herself in Evie. So she wanted to take care of the shifter, to reassure her, and help her.

Evie smiled gratefully at Rosalie. At first, Evie's and Rosalie's relationship was quite... fierce and hostile. Rosalie didn't like having a wolf in her house or seeing her so friendly with her brothers and sisters. To Rosalie, Evie was just another wolf, another natural enemy. But as the time passed, she softened as she got to know Evie more. And when Jacob left, Rosalie couldn't be a cold-hearted girl. She was compassionate. On the other side, Evie was only hostile to Rosalie because the blonde was in the first place. But she never held a grunge against her. Rosalie was actually a good friend to Evie. All the Cullens were actually. They were all welcoming and warm. They too were a good support through the hard time she was having with coping the absence of the man she loved.

After helping the Cullens for the wedding, Evie went back to Sam's house, the pack's usual meeting place. There, everyone was already there. As she entered, she ignored Paul's comment on Evie's smelling like a vampire and sat next to her brother and sister. She spent the whole day there with the pack. They ate, laughed, talked, Emily even braided Evie's long hair. Emily had to enjoy it now before the shifter would cut them again.

"Billy plan to organize a new bond fire," Sam informed. "For Aaron and Sarah to hear the legends,"

"Ooh, the pack is getting bigger," Quil said, joyful.

"Finally another girl," Leah sighed.

"Tell me about it," Evie sighed too, fist-bumping her sister's. "We're outnumbered here,"

"It's been a while we haven't seen them," Seth said, kind of lost in his thoughts.

Evie slightly smiled and put her arm around his shoulder reassuringly. Seth and Sarah were good friends, childhood friends to be exact. But then they lost sight of each other in middle school. They went their own ways, unfortunately it wasn't the same destination. But it seemed their paths were meant to cross again. It would be strange for Seth to be around Sarah again. They hadn't talked for years.

Sunset. The sky was colored with a beautiful shade of orange blended with pink. The sun was slowly going down to shine its light on the other side of the world. The fresh night breeze of the sea slowly brushed against Evie's face, making her hair flying in the wind. It had been a moment she had left Sam's house. She liked being with them but sometime, she needed her own time alone. Peaceful, silence, tranquility, she needed that sometimes.

Sat on a fallen trunk on the beach, she observed the waved coming back and forth on the golden sand. The soothing sound of the water was filling the chilly but comfortable air. It had been quite sometime Evie hadn't cliffdived. She had to admit, she missed it. Feeling the adrenaline rush in her veins, the wind brushing fast on her face, the sensation of flying, ans then the water sliding onto her skin and the magnificence of the underwater world. But the only cliff diving spot, she couldn't go. She unconsciously reaches for the necklace around her neck that was never leaving her. The cliff reminded her too much of him. It was too hard for her to go there.

Evie was cuddled in Jacob's arms as both of them were lied down on the cliff. They were not talking, just enjoying the comfort and sense of home the other was providing them. They were just enjoying the happiness and feeling of bliss they hearts were full of. They were just enjoying the presence of the love of their lives that was just right next to them. At that moment, nothing could destroy what they had. Nothing could pierce the bubble they were in. This pleasing feeling of bliss would never disappear.

"Evie," Jacob called. Evie hummed in response and looked up at him. "Evie... I just wanted to call your name. I love it,"

Evie giggled and cuddled more into his arms.

"What are you saying," she only said, trying to ignore her beating heart and hide her brushing face.

"I love you, you know," he breathed, caressing her hair. "Like more than you can imagine,"

"What's with the suddenly love confession," she joked, straightening up on her elbow.

"It's just...," his voice trailed off as Jacob seemed to be looking for the right words. "Being here with you, just you, I love it. And I can feel my love for you only growing by the seconds. I love being with you, I love you. I just want to share it with you,"

Evie softly smiled and leaned in. She softly pressed her lips on Jacob's. He kissed back and quickly, it became more passionate. Evie cupped his face as their lips moved in sync. She moved hover him as Jacob sat up, making Evie sitting on him. She ran her hand in his soft hair as he wrapped his arms around her waist, pulling her closer to her. Their bodies collided into each other, they were pressed against one another. The kiss was fierceful, full of passion, love, desire. Jacob bit her bottom lip, asking access to her mouth which she gave him. The kiss deepened making Evie letting out a moan as she grabbed his hair. She slid her hand down to his abs, sending chills down his spine and grabbed the fabric of his shirt. Jacob slid his hand under her shirt on her back. But then, Jacob suddenly pulled away, panting.

"Wait," he breathed.

"What?" She asked, kissing him again.

Jacob kissed her back but chuckled and pulled away again.

"I have something for you," he said.

Evie frowned as she watched him taking something out of his pocket. It was a necklace. Attached with the chain was a wooden pendent. It was the head of a wolf. Evie softly smiled as she gently took it. On the back was engraved both of their names. Evie knew for sure Jacob made it for her. At the thought, Evie smiled even more.

"Thank you, Jake," she said.

Jacob softly smiled at her. A soft shade of pink was now coloring his cheeks. Evie's beautiful smile was always flustering him.

"I'll put it on for you," he said.

Jacob took the necklace again and put it around her neck. Doing so, his face was closer to Evie's. They could feel the breath of the other on their faces. Done with the necklace, his eyes slowly moved to her lips again. Evie cupped his face once more and again, their lips met.
