Neti
Present - Basement Scene
I glare at him, my wrists aching against the cold chains. His presence suffocates the room, his dark eyes scanning me like I'm his prey.
"¿Qué demonios quieres de mÃ, Adolph?" I snap, my voice trembling with anger.
What the hell do you want from me, Adolph?
Adolph's smirk deepens, and he steps closer, his boots echoing on the stone floor. "Such fire, bella mia," he murmurs, his voice low and smooth, each word dripping with amusement.
My beautiful one.
"You curse me so sweetly in your language. Do it again."
"Vete al infierno," I hiss, baring my teeth.
Go to hell.
He laughs softly, the sound dark and infuriating, as if my fury only amuses him. His hand reaches out, tilting my chin up so I'm forced to meet his gaze. "Piccola fiera," he murmurs, his Italian accent thick, his words sliding over me like silk.
Little wild one.
"You say these things, but your eyes tell me another story."
"Mis ojos no dicen nada," I spit back, yanking my chin from his grip.
My eyes say nothing.
"Oh, but they do," he counters, his voice dropping an octave as he leans closer, his lips brushing against my ear. "They tell me you're trying so hard to hate me. Trying to fight what you feel."
"Estás loco," I whisper, my breath hitching.
You're crazy.
"Maybe," he says, his tone teasing but dangerous. "Crazy for you, perhaps."
I scoff, trying to ignore the way his voice wraps around me like a chain of its own. "You disgust me."
"Do I?" he murmurs, his lips curving into that devilish smirk as his fingers trail down my jaw. "Then why are you trembling, mi princesa?"
My princess.
I clench my fists, my body betraying me as his words sink into my skin. "Déjame ir," I demand, my voice barely steady
Let me go.
"Never," he says softly, his tone final, his dark eyes locking onto mine. "I told you once, didn't I? You're mine, per sempre. Forever."
Forever.
Butterflies stir violently in my chest, warring with my fury and fear. "No tienes ningún derecho," I whisper, shaking my head.
You have no right.
He chuckles darkly, brushing his thumb over my bottom lip. "I have every right, Neti. You gave it to me the moment you walked into my life. And you'll see," he leans in, his breath hot against my cheek, "one day, you'll thank me for it."
One day...
That'll never come
